Any Word on Fix for Incorrect Plane Loading?
Dolphin887 replied to Dembizkit's topic in General Questions
Can you fly MiG-21 at all, for example in any of tutorial missions? -
Noted, thank you.

It seems that you are trying to launch MiG-21Bis on a 32-bit platform. /**************** your log ****************/ 00029.527 ERROR WorldPlugIns: Can't load plugin module ./mods/aircraft/MiG-21BIS/bin/FlightModel.dll :%1 ist keine zulässige Win32-Anwendung. 00029.527 ERROR WorldPlugIns: Can't load plugin module ./mods/aircraft/MiG-21BIS/bin/Avionics.dll :%1 ist keine zulässige Win32-Anwendung. /***************************************/ You wont be able to run MiG-21bis since current binaries will not execute on your PC. Do you have 64bit Windows? If so - what version? Are you perhaps running the DCS under the Compatibility mode? Please provide more infor about your PC: make a screenshot of your "Control Panel\System and Security\System" screen, attach here.

Bill, you made me laugh  Anyway, suspension is among the highest priorities to me. I was never completely satisfied how suspension behaves.

Whenever you can't get into the "human" cockpit, it means your 21 module is not recognized by the DCS engine. In essence - something is wrong with the installation procedure (most likely you installed 21 first, than updated DCS). Try this: - uninstall 21 (using the installer in its folder or through Control Panel), - run "Repair DCS World", - run "Update DCS World", - install 21, - try it.

Thank you for reporting, noted.

We will check this, thank you for reporting.

This is quite possible. Missions are created some time ago. While some of them were opened for editing and re-saved, older that were not "refreshed" might have this radio issue. This "bug" appears because we changed radio menu (in ME) in the meantime. Thank you Cruiser and guys.

Thank you for the feedback. Lot of things could be added, whole new book could be written, or several of them. I completely agree some things require a bit more initial explanations, there were never enough time to extend them. Believe it or no, current manual was finished and included into installer in literally last minute. I might find some time to add more things for the final (or patched) version, but I honestly can't promise that (current workload is "impossible", although it might not seems so). Honestly, I left some things unsaid on purpose: I wanted the players to have fun discovering the aircraft, experimenting, measuring, crating tables, overview, describing their experience, discussing things. I always believed there is a lot of fun in research driven by curiosity, which is important aspect of gaming. P.S. You guys don't need to post typos, grammar or style errors for the EN manual. ED testers are already doing that.

For any kind of blackouts to occur, you need to have: Options -> Gameplay -> G-EFFECTS -> simulation

BUG: Strange behaviour of rotary light switches in MP
Dolphin887 replied to upupandaway's topic in Controller Profiles
Lights controls with the mouse: - scroll with wheel or drag with left-click? FPS drop: - day or night mission? - FPS before the drop (average, in cockpit)? - does it happen in SP (meaning - is it noticeable)? -
Crashed model of Mig-21 changes texture (skin)
Dolphin887 replied to zaelu's topic in 3D Model and Cockpit
In MP, when a client exits the aircraft for whatever the reason, the aircraft will explode after the client enters either another aircraft or Spectators pool. If this was the case, behaviour is normal. Links to your images are broken. -
It is unclear what you exactly did so far, and in what order. You can't enter the cockpit because the DCS engine can't see your human module. Try this: - make sure DCS is not running, - execute Start -> All programs -> Eagle dynamics -> DCS -> Repair DCS World, (wait until it finishes), - execute Start -> All programs -> Eagle dynamics -> DCS -> Update DCS World, (latest version is 1.2.10.32095.521, wait until it finishes), - try 21. If it does not work: - make sure DCS is not running, - open X:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts, - copy your Export.lua and send it in your next message. - open X:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\Saved Games\DCS\Logs, - zip all the files there and send them in your next message.

'exe' file for Mig 21 could harm my PC?
Dolphin887 replied to ozTRipwiRE's topic in General Problems
If you are in doubt, check hash value for downloaded file. Proper hash for current installer is 585d9bbabb57f85e19b779f29bb948f8 Use some of the free tools to check it (e.g. http://www.winmd5.com/ ). If the file origins from DCS site, you should have no worries. -
Thanx. This bug was fixed but obviously did not reach release bundle. Will be in a patch.
-
Options -> Gameplay -> uncheck PADLOCK, confirm (OK) Thanx for reporting.
-
Excellent report, thank you.
-
Make sure RH55 and RH56 are on (assuming you turned on everything else). RH54 should (normally) be off.
-
Make sure DCS is not running. Disconnect Nostromo and Thrustmaster. Start DCS, go to options for 21. Make sure you cant see anything unusual there in Controls. Try some 21 mission (any). If it does not crash, exit, connect Thrustmater first, repeat the process. Point is - most likely one of your devices is crashing the sim. Let me know the outcome.

Please pick all log files in X:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\DCS\Logs folder, zip them and add to your previous message if possible, if not - post new one).

Manual checklist does not mention ground power is needed
Dolphin887 replied to stray cat's topic in MiG-21Bis
You don't need the ground power. Just execute start-up procedure. -
OK, I will check the mission ASAP. Anyone else having this same issue? (note "same")

You most likely mapped MOUSE_X axe to something you use on your joystick. Go to MiG options, Axis, look at the Mouse, find Horizontal View (Mouse), and set up default (X mouse).
