For anyone stuck with a slow download of the official 1.2.7(like me - have a 30Mbps connection and the download was at 40KBps..) however having the 1.2.7 open beta at hand - use the trick below: There were some steps described previously which I used and quickly got it working: 1. navigate to your DCS World folder and create a new text file named dcs_local_source.txt 2. Open the file and enter the path to your DCS Open Beta Folder (for example Z:\DCS World OpenBeta in my particular case). 3. Save the file and launch the DCS world updater 4. It should download a file version list, do a comparison and copy the bulk of the files from the open beta folder as they have not really changed between the last OpenBeta update and the official release (~1.7GB were copied) 5. Then it will download some bits from the ED servers and there you go - you got yourself upgraded to official 1.2.7 It works fine for me with no issues so far, though you do this at your own risk ;)

I've been waiting for that MiG-29 model for quite some time now! Great to see it is not forgotten :)

Knowing my luck - I will not make it in the lucky few but still worth a try - DCS Hawk is the one to go for though!

It is working finally - I used these instructions after trying pretty much all else and had almost given up! http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=1234287&postcount=6 I can now enjoy my beloved MiG-29 and P-51 again :)

@SiThSpAwN yes I did delete the saved folder - it was also a new install after OS reinstall due to major hardware upgrade so I do not think there were any profiles. I thought it might be the new hardware, but why do it on 1.2.6 only and work with 1.2.5 (I didn't try 1.2.6 before the upgrade but |I guess it would have done the same). I also used the exact same Saitek drivers as before. I make my money in IT so I did my research and tried what I could find here on the forums, but nothing helped so far. @ENO You tried to help - that is enough for some rep in my view :) I have not yet settled and configured eveything so I can give 1.2.6 another go anytime - share your ideas I will give it a go :)

Thanks ENO - I had a look at this thread but the chaps there are complaining about FFB issues and delays as they can launch the game - I don't get that far at all. Even when in the menu if I go to settings, as soon as I select the Controls tab, I get the error and crash. Something is very very wrong.. I will be sticking to 1.2.5 for now - good thing I kept the install files..

Since re-installing windows, my DCS won't start. System is win7 home premium x64. DCS is v.1.2.6 I tried installing 1.2.5 and updat6ing to 1.2.6 - didn't work so I removed it and tried installing 1.2.6 clean. Funny thing is it crashes only when I have my Saitek Evo Force plugged in - if I remove it, the game loads fine. Tried re-installing the Saitek drivers but this didn't help either. Also repaired the game, deleted the save folder and what else I could find in the forum. Can anyone help? System specs: i5 2500k 6GB RAM ATI HD4830 512MB W7 HP x64 UPDATE: uninstalled 1.2.6 and cleaned the saved folders, then installed 1.2.5 - runs fine. Updated to 1.2.6 and crashes again - I guess I am stuck on 1.2.5.. I really wasn't planning on buying the P-51 as I am not a huge fan of 'slow movers' - however I could not resist the offer and there is a long weekend ahead - guess what I will be busy with.. :) Thanks ED!

Hello Chizh, Fahhh from =2IAE= here, We had some completed works including awards, ranks and BGAF skins for MiG-29A and Su-25. I will have a look and compile something for you :) Thanks ever so much for the interest! :)

It's a Mil creation and yes, my source states that it is based on the Mi-24, but it's not tilt rotor project for a movie, rather a research project for a push-rotor craft. I think AldoUSMC was closest to the answer and gets the chance to post a new puzzle :) p.s.oh and I'll post the full photo tomorrow, as I don't have it on this pc :|
