  1. Not GTX 1060? Isn't suppose to have performance similar to a 980?
  2. Body Organ, Thank you very much! You are very efficient!
  3. 1 : BodyOrgan 2 : geert 3 : Lobinjaevel 4 : Nash 5 : Doveman 6 : B2Blain I'm in!
  4. Thanks! There are not a lot of choices with regard to compatible DRAM. I'm assuming the native speed is the speed that it runs at? If so then all 3600, 3400, 3200, and 3000 MHz DRAM runs at 2133. Maybe I should stick with what I have and hope a future bios upgrade will take care of the issue.
  5. Thanks, Demon! I don't see too many higher speed DRAMs in the compatibility matrix. Ugh! Do you know how I can get into the manual settings? I don't see this as an option. Thanks!
  6. I flashed the bios to the latest version, F6. Ironically it said that it improved XMP compatibility. Well, it didn't work.
  7. I'm thinking I need to up date the bios. I'm at F3. The latest is F6. We'll see how that goes.
  8. Thanks! I only see one profile in my settings: Profile 1. The manual says profile 2 is only enabled when I have a cpu and memory that is capable of the setting sin profile 2. The specs says Corsair Vengeance is capable of XMP 2.0. https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3000MHz-PC4-24000-Memory/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1466884027&sr=1-2&keywords=corsair+vengeance I believe XMP is supported on the 6600k also.
  9. But isn't the DRAM capable of 3000 MHz? Otherwise I would have purchased a slower model.
  10. I recently built a new system - 6600K with a Gigabyte Gaming 3, Z170x. I purchased 2 8 GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance LPX DRAM - 3000 MHz https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW7G8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I noticed in the BIOS that the memory was set to auto but its frequency was only 2133 MHz. I thought this was odd so set it to a profile that increased the frequency to 3000 MHz. That setting failed. Am I missing something?
  11. In DCS, yes. But I was thinking about using it in Falcon BMS.
  12. Toe brakes? Aren't you also able to specifies axes? I don't have them yet and want to insure I will be able to get them to work.
  13. Have you tried to create a script for TFRP? Thanks!
  14. I wasn't in a rush to purchase rudder pedals. I was going to wait until there were more reviews out there of the Thurstmaster TFRP, but I noticed there was one for $76 on warehouse deals. A dissatisfied customer must have returned it. A sign? The downside if that its narrow and seems cheaply made. You would think the design and some of the components are better than CH. Maybe not. But at that price you can't go wrong. I thought I try it out and return it if it is not worth the price I paid for it.
  15. I mainly fly fighters - F-15 and F-16 in Falcon BMS. The last time I used a rudder pedal was well over ten years ago. At this point I am thinking that the HOTAS is more important - hence my willingness to fork o er $350 for Warthog. I'm thinking that the value of the rudder pedals would be mainly making fine adjustments getting behind a tanker or landing - runway but especially carrier. Like I said, I maybe wrong I would think fine precision isn't as important in BFM. At this moment I am leaning toward the Thrustmaster TFRP. Yeah, they are closely spaced, but I am thinking it has newer components that CH and would hopefully be easier to set up in Target. I bought a CH rudder pedal but had to return it because I couldn't figure how to get it to work in BMS.
  16. Slightly off topic. But how much do you use the rudder in BFM? Mostly when you are at a low energy level? I am just getting back into sims. The last time I had rudder pedals was Thrustmaster's RCS. I seem to remember mainly using it to make adjustments on final approach - especially when landing on a carrier. Some advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
  17. What's the consensus on value rudder pedals? After spending $350 on a Thrustmaster Warhog I don't want to spend $250 for rudder pedals unless I have no other choice. I would have considered VBK's MkIII. I don't know why they came out with the Mk IVs. Just so they could charge another $50? There are not a lot of good options out there. Based on the reviews, Thrustmaster seems cheap and flimsy. So is CH the only real option? Anyone have any issues with CH? Thanks!
  18. I am building a Core i5 6600K system for DCS. What's the best bang for the buck in DDR4? I was looking at 2x8 GB - Corsair Vengeance at 3000 MHz. There is not a lot of difference in price between 3000 MHz and slower speeds. Or am I not understanding something? http://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Vengeance-288-Pin-Desktop-CMK16GX4M2B3000C15R/dp/B013GZ5PD2?ie=UTF8&keywords=corsair%20vengeance%2016%20GB%20DDR4%20288%20pin&qid=1464741834&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3 http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2400MHz-PC4-19200-Memory/dp/B00PC9H6BK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1464742033&sr=8-5&keywords=corsair+vengeance+16+GB+DDR4+288+pin
  19. I am going to be in the market for a budget rudder pedal. I was hoping this one would be better than CH. Maybe not.... http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Flight-Rudder-Pedals-Playstation-4/dp/B015PII6YI/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1464680764&sr=1-1&keywords=rudder+pedals#customerReviews
  20. Thank you to everyone for their advice! Should I use the following as a guide to select my DRAM? I'd like to spend under $100 for 16 GB. I noticed that the tests used the XMP settings. I am not familiar with this setting but it appears to be related to overclocking. http://us.hardware.info/category/20/memory-modules/testresults I'm thinking of this.... http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3000MHz-PC4-24000-Memory/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1464377339&sr=8-4-fkmr0&keywords=Corsair+Vengeance+LPX+Black+16GB+DDR4-3000+CL16 or this. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-PC4-25600-Memory/dp/B0143UM4TC?ie=UTF8&keywords=Corsair%20Vengeance%20LPX%20Black%2016GB%20DDR4-3200%20CL16&qid=1464377287&ref_=sr_1_fkmr0_1&sr=8-1-fkmr0 Opinions? Thanks!
  21. I am in the process of building my own 6600k system. I have a Gigabyte Gaming 3 Z170X. I have not decided on the brand and type of DRAM. I know I want 16 GB and want to keep it under $100. I was looking at 3000 MHz. Correct me if I am wrong - doesn't faster/better ram help with overclocking the CPU? Or is overclocking DRAM and overclocking the CPU two different processes. Thanks, Blain
  22. Thanks! This is damn good!
  23. I found this on Amazon for the PS4. Not bad, depending on price. Looks better than CH. But I doubt its better than others. http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Flight-Rudder-Pedals-Playstation-4/dp/B015PII6YI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1461886671&sr=8-7&keywords=rudder+pedals
  24. I am building from scratch. I was concerned that maybe there was a drop off in certain functions for DCS 2.0. I did notice the price was pretty much the same. Thanks!
  25. I am planning on building a new system. I noticed that the Sandylake processors are competitive with the Haswells - 4690k vs 6600k, both running at 3.5 GHz. Other than future proofing your mobo, there doesn't seem to be any advantage in getting a 6600k. The 4690k seems to have slight advantage in single thread performance. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp%5B%5D=2570&cmp%5B%5D=2284 Any opinions?
