  1. The WarBRD is designed primarily for desktop use. I doubt it is engineered for significant extensions. With the T50, the main mounting bolts are located on the front facing side of the enclosure, the side that bolts to he excellent deskmount. These bolts pass through the enclosure and fix directly onto the main gimbal support frame. If you want a floor mount, fabricate a simple 'L' plate. Read this topic, you will see different ways of mounting if interested. Recommendations regarding extensions can be found on their website.
  2. Hi aiyaner, I'm slightly confused... Originally Posted by Boris Is anyone also annoyed by the fact that the HMS is too high and not actually over the eye? lobo** said ... If you look at the large picture I posted and the big yellow box I drew around a slider control in the special ka50 section of the main DCS controls, well adjust that slider and the HMS will move up or down from its default position which is related to whatever head tracking your use... I hope this helps...
  3. here you go :)
  4. Tonedogg is correct. That is the way it is for the Kamov In the KA50 the sight reticle is only projected onto the right eye in VR. You will not see it in the left display whatsoever. The KA50 is modelled as a helmet mounted device on the right eye only. With the Mi-8, UH1H & SA342 the sight is reflected off a glass surface in front of the pilot and although positioned in front of the right eye the head can be moved or the camera angle moved so that the left eye has dominance.
  5. VIRPIL T-50 a personal opinion... I’ve used many sticks over the years but mainly the TMWH with a 12cm extension. Both stick and throttle experienced switch failures (probably related to use) but none the less TMWH is a great product with great support. They are excellent items but, as I mostly play helos, I wanted a better gimbal operation. This year Santa was good and I received a T-50 stick, desk mount and a set of extensions. Its been in daily use ever since, these are my opinions so far. Grip It’s plastic!, light in weight, switches have little movement and light too… it just ‘feels’ totally inferior to the heavy and substantial Thrustmaster with its clunky switch operation and metal grip. Having said that, with me its pure cosmetics and I have no desire to use the TMWH grip on the Mongoose base, which of course you can. The switch positions I found much more natural to use than the TMWH and all buttons and switches operated just fine. The lever axis required Virpil software calibration and then calibration in windows itself for the button assignment and axis to be recognised by DCS. Gimbal A delight… positive, pressure adjustable, extremely accurate, perfect! Dismantling is a bit fiddly especially removing the PCB but not an issue. Well made in all respects, everything is aligned and engineered great. I did not change the default soft centre cam and suspect this will suit most other than dedicated prop heads who might prefer the hard centre. Adjustable spring tension on both axes is fantastic. I was initially concerned that looking at pics the adjustment hole was small and the bolt head underneath would also be small and susceptible to wear. This was unfounded, the access hole is small but the bolt head is large, solid and substantial – no worries there. Personal adjustment Initially I swapped the default springs for the light variant but later swapped back the pitch axis to medium. Flying helos I have the springs tensioned so that they are just engaged and no more – for me this is perfect. Pitch spring (medium) exerts just a gentle amount of authority and the roll spring (light) is hardly felt at all until the reaching the extremities of throw but of course release the stick and it will return to centre. The ‘centre’ is very, very smooth not notched with absolutely no change in tension as you cross it. For fixed wing work I prefer the roll spring tightened a little to be firmer. A 2 sec easy job. Extension Set Perfect, correct choice of sizes, well made and solid. I use the 10cm & 7.5cm combined. Desk mount Solid, stable easily adjusted and moved. With my desk, chair 10cm & 7.5cm extensions and the desk mount adjusted to its maximum I can still rest my forearm on my thigh when playing but then my desk and chair height are both adjustable. Support On first calibration the supplied software corrupted the firmware and windows refused to recognise it. Being English speaking, support is routed via Cyph3r and the issue was resolved satisfactory with a software upgrade. Overall summary Expensive (UK VAT adds 20%), well made, adjustable, for me, just perfect!
  6. Thanks for coming in Fargo Yes CTLD Waypoint zones is one way of overcoming DCS bug of not passing group names on drop off to initiate direction triggers. CTLD is great and we use it all the time but I do wish there was some sort of weight modelling as in the DSC 'All Descent' function of picking up and dropping off troops which IMPORTANTLY models TOTAL WEIGHT on load and unload. But I have not yet found a way of routing troops dropped by 'All descent' - they just run back to start point... making the function pretty useless at the moment.... but hopefully DCS will link some sort of routing.
  7. Perfect Suntag, thanks mate.. :)
  8. 'false' = IC off, 'true' = on.. Set to off...
  9. Some checkbox's do not write for whatever reason... Check serverSettings.lua file (C:\Users\\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config) and if necessary edit, so that... "require_pure_textures" "require_pure_models" "require_pure_clients" =false for the IC to be off..
  10. In 1.5xxx she was good... the MOD part that you install in Programme files rather than Saved Games should break the IC check with 1.5xxx servers that had IC enforced. If servers IC not enforced then of course there are no probs and all is good. On the 299th we do not enforce the IC and so it worked fine with 1.5 beta. I have not tried it yet but if you edit the 2.5 .sht file putting in the relevant BVFG lines from the old .sht file there is a chance that the FARP side might still work but 2.5 FARPS have now 2 options ( 1pad & 4 pad) so it might not work. The edit is required as the .sht file in 2.5 contains new additional lines than the old 1.5 one. Of course there are object issues though for the other stuff. I'm sure the BVFG lads will look at it soon...
  11. Until ED fix the objects on the Server - Client relationship there is nothing that BFVG can do. Using the FARP part always did and will break an IC. A fix will be required for the StructTable.sht file due to additions in 2.5... therefore there will be difficulty in using the old .sht file...
  12. Loading Troops into the UH1H or Mi-8 works fine using the Descent option in the comms menu. If you set a waypoint to embark, the troops will line up ready to get on board, then run into the airframe... if not they often run around like headless chickens until some get on-board. There is a limit of how many troops each airframe will take. Weight after load is modelled as is after an unload. There may well be issues on a MP server. They are slowly getting there... THE TRICK is to get the AI to go where you want after unload though.... At the moment it is not possible for me so I rely on CTLD where you can set a ranging distance and they attack the enemy. With the DCS option, 9/10 times they run back to where they started from, with or without waypoints.... at least with me...
  13. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201481 refers, this applies to all furniture objects including native DCS 2.5 as well as MODS.
  14. It appears any MODs changes to files NOW within the Bazar folder structure will fail the IC. Its DCS 2.5 rather than BFVG..
  15. 2 issues... these highlight them.. MODS: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201481 PURE CLIENT etc: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200774 Additionally some MODSs normally residing in SAVED GAMES change files that the DCS originals are NOW within the Bazar folder structure and this will fail the IC... i.e. FARP base and PAD textures...
  16. With Multiplayer clients not hosted on the same machine as the server, only 5 'furniture' objects will appear, randomly selected... remainder invisible... same whether as a group or singly.... enemy of coalition.. DCS furniture or MOD's... Vehicles okay... Single Player all are visible... same as with a client on the same PC as the server. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201481
  17. On a 2.5 server mission with multiple 'furniture objects' only 5 will be seen by clients. The missing objects appear to be randomly picked but only 5 are visible by clients. In SP all are visible. On a server hosted client slot all are visible With a remote Client only 5 are visible Initially this was picked up by missing MOD furniture on heavily populated servers but on testing with a server and client both clean of any MODS again only 5 are visible. Vehicles etc seem good. Validation: No MODS on SERVER or CLIENT 1 group of 8 x 'bunker 1' 2 x Mi-8 Seen by REMOTE CLIENT 5x Seen by SERVER HOSTED CLIENT 8x Seen by SINGLE PLAYER CLIENT 8x Repeatable. Affects DCS and 3rd party MOD furniture, in a group or as single objects. Miz file attached. caucasus test.miz
  18. Just in case... this MOD is just for the base texture as in the first pic and the helo pads... images 2,3 & 4 show populated FARPS from 229th missions with various standard and MOD furniture... would hate to raise peoples expectations. :)
  19. OVGME compatible DCS 2.5 FARP texture MOD good for all 3 maps. Install in '...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\' NOT Saved Games folder. It will break IC therefore deactivate before using IC regulated servers. This mod changes the .dds textures which are modified from previous released .dds graphics by 'T. Jacobs' & 'Upuaut' It will work on all past missions incorporating the 4 pad FARP DOWNLOAD MOD
  20. Yes, I got this just before the 2.5 update... the Gaz could not hold a level course with full trim hat deflection.. initially I thought they had changed the FM in the last ED update but a windows re-cal sorted it.... so it 'might' be a windows 'thing' from one of their latest updates..
  21. There is a new setting in the special section 2.5 to adjust that angle to suit ... 'helmet ring displacement' BUT with a strong dominant eye it is best to keep it out of the way until you have to use it... Maybe someone might have an idea to change the screen output, here's hoping.. :)
  22. No, in VR the HMS is only projected on the right screen mimicking RL with the sight covering the right eye... problem occurs if you do not have balanced vision and your left eye is very dominant.... your brain sees the sight in a different place where it is supposed to be. The new 'force IPD' helps if set correctly however the HMS on the left screen would be best if indeed possible.
  23. Has anyone an idea of moving the HMS to the left eye in VR? My Left is strongly dominant and it would be so much easier....
  24. It does currently Trick..... just not the one launched from the client. In VR CTRL+LSIFT+ESC will bring it on, toggle off the menu and toggle off completely. It is moveable, just not scaleable... Hope this helps...
  25. Not quite sure what you mean by double commands Hoffster... what are using to see this? Of course, all switches are of the momentary type with windows recognising when a DX switch is down and when not.... is as expected... If when using windows CP game controller settings you see a constant red light when you hold a switch down and which goes out when you release, it as it should be...
