  1. STRIX 980Ti OC with the very latest NVidea drivers.. I always used the latest version & so far no grief... yet :)
  2. Hi HF... Just for comparison ... seems fine my end. I export the TV viewport (and the rest) via modding init.lua and it displays fine. Selecting 3 screen setup also displays the symbology OK.
  3. I would suspect this is the problem. Unfortunately DCS by default has FBB engaged and as you know unless turned off this setting plays havoc with the Gazelle for whatever reason. It catches me out when I have to re-install DCS after some tinkering... Multi-cockpit works for me without effecting trim operation. Hope this helps..
  4. Absolutely... 100%
  5. I found it takes quite a while to get into the 'groove'... and yes I used to knock off elements of the SAS and mess with axis saturations to get it to 'feel' what I thought was right.... and then after a while it all slotted into place and I realised there was no need, now I leave SAS on all the time, zero curves and no saturation on the axis... of course YMMV... The birds happiest at 150 kph... spend a fair bit of time at this speed and very, very low keeping the speed in the turns whilst zipping in and out of stuff and you're soon get tuned in to the control inputs and then you'll find slower stuff is a breeze. It's not 100% but not far off...

  7. No thanks.... I think this area has been well discussed by those far more knowledgeable than me.. Until PC begin posting I fail to see benefit...
  8. The FM has issues, this is covered well enough by many with RL experience and yes the communication block is strange to say the least and very frustrating .... There are issues with all DCS helicopters - the flare pods in the Huey are wrong, the fans in the Mi-8 don't work properly - I still get hot flying it and the Ka50's illogic, nuff said.... If you are experienced with DCS rotary wings and accept that there are some areas not as true to RL as other models, the Gazelle certainly can be and is great fun to fly especially when in role.... If you have it, don't get hung up with the FM... with me the glass is a good vintage and 3/4 full and hopefully Polychop will make sure its topped up soon.....
  9. Same my end Razor... I just presumed it hadn't made it's way through the DCS update stages... dunno :)
  10. Great stuff!.... Thanks Mustang... for me, the best terrain MOD for rotary wings yet....
  11. here you go..
  12. Might be a local issue. With me this mission, the FARP comes in at 1565m and air is 20°C. Loaded weight is at airframe maximum of 2100KG with 70% fuel and 4 HOT. Sure plenty of issues with the FM (mouth zipped! :() but I can lift into a 5' hover, engage auto hover, disengage the auto collective and pull 95% torque and steady climb without warnings and hold happily OGE thereafter. Not that I would want to in these circumstances preferring a standard terrain take off and she's going...

  14. Hi Ciribob, Magic stuff!!! Minor Bug Report. SRS 1.2.9.7 Installation disables the top left menu items for about 1/8th of the screen. Only really effects the ME drop down menus and some drop downs.. Fault identified by re-installing DCS complete and adding MODS piecemeal. Repeatable. Delete SR export scripts resolves the issue W10, i7-6700-oc 980ti-oc This video screen grab explains... https://youtu.be/zO-vazzbwE4
  15. Looking really good Spec...... no wonder you've not flying too much :)
  16. Under DCS controls for the airframe you want, select the command, double click the empty space in the keyboard column, enter an unused key combination and save it. Map your device inputs (via target?) to the keyboard keys now mapped in DCS. Hope this helps...
  17. Yeah, this is an intermittent issue with me, comes and goes... As YorZor says Hit the trim reset and it goes away, at least for a while.... better if you can adapt your cyclic spring pressure so, for the most part, you don't have to use the trim function..
  18. I'm sure most things are possible but is there a need? If you are proficient with the airframe, disengaging Autohover, re-positioning and re-engaging AH is not an issue nor difficult in SP mode. I think Polychop have enough on their plate at the moment with internal re-organisation..
  19. All RL pilots that I have spoken to mention that the FM may need further work in some areas. ..and yes I can understand a RL Gazelle pilot mentioning 80% of the 'domain' is correct. ..and yes the Gazelle is certainly fun to fly for the most part.. ..and yes I understand asking for clarification from Polychop. but bearing in mind todays post from BigNewy : Maybe it's best to wait until we get something definitive from Polychop ...
  20. Tracer comment edited out - my bad! Landing light on FARP only illuminates the ground underneath not the FARP texture. Realising the graphic transitions... for info..
  21. You can never have enough custom mappings... you never know when you may need them..:) Here's what I adapt for my use... in a JSGME ready drop in or as code after the link.. might save someone a bit of time.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7h2f4bx0am15w8n/Gizzy%20KA50%20switches.zip?dl=0 --Gizzy Custom {down = iCommandPlaneModeHelmet, up = iCommandPlaneModeHelmet, name = _("Helmet-mounted system On/Off-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlane_AutomaticTracking_Gunsight_switch, up = iCommandPlane_AutomaticTracking_Gunsight_switch, name = _("Automatic tracking/gun sight-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlane_WeaponMode_Manual_Auto, up = iCommandPlane_WeaponMode_Manual_Auto, name = _("Weapon system control switch Manual/Auto-custom "), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlaneGear, up = iCommandPlaneGear, name = _("Gear lever-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlane_FireRate, up = iCommandPlane_FireRate, name = _("Cannon rate of fire setting-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlane_AmmoTypeSelect, up = iCommandPlane_AmmoTypeSelect, name = _("Cannon Round Selector-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlaneWheelParkingBrake, up = iCommandPlaneWheelParkingBrake, name = _("Wheel brake parking-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandSwitchMasterArm, up = iCommandSwitchMasterArm, name = _("Master arm on/off-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandHelicopter_Rotor_Lock, up = iCommandHelicopter_Rotor_Lock, name = _("Rotor brake-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlaneLaserRangerOnOff, up = iCommandPlaneLaserRangerOnOff, name = _("Laser standby On/Off switch-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = iCommandPlaneWheelParkingBrake, up = iCommandPlaneWheelParkingBrake, name = _("Wheel brake parking-custom"), category = _("Custom"), }, {down = 3004, value_down = 0.2, up = 3004, value_up = 0.1, cockpit_device_id = 12, name = " Weapon mode switch center/up-custom", category = "Custom"}, {down = 3004, value_down = 0.0, up = 3004, value_up = 0.1, cockpit_device_id = 12, name = " Weapon mode switch down/center-custom", category = "Custom"}, {down = 3002, value_down = 0.0, cockpit_device_id = 50, name = "SPU-9 VHF-2-custom", category = "Custom"}, {down = 3002, value_down = 0.11, cockpit_device_id = 50, name = "SPU-9 VHF-1-custom", category = "Custom"}, {down = 3002, value_down = 0.22, cockpit_device_id = 50, name = "SPU-9 SW-custom", category = "Custom"}, {down = 3002, value_down = 0.33, cockpit_device_id = 50, name = "SPU-9 Ground Crew-custom", category = "Custom"}, --End Gizzy Custom
  22. KA50 frequency increase / decrease inputs have buffer / lag issues. A series of quick succession DX pulses results in a large lag in the displayed frequency as if the model DX read side has a slow synch and is buffering the input. Switch to the Huey for example and the display response is instantaneous with absolutely no lag using the same controller (DSD FL1 rotary - connected direct to MB USB) Overclocked Intel® Core™i7-6700k Quad Core (4.00GHz @ upto MAX 4.60GHz) ASUS® Z170 PRO GAMING: ATX, LG1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs 16GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 8GB Kit) Nvidea 980ti CORSAIR 750W CS SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD Corsair H80i GT Hydro Cooler Windows 10
  23. I’ve never heard of any such mod. In the 70’s helicopters with minimum technical equipment were often used for static position observation duties in NI beaming video footage of events to command above the range of small arms fire for long periods of time (as against overt or covert target surveillance which uses different techniques) A technique that works for me in the Huey at height above small arms effectiveness is to scan the ASI, VVI, & AI until static level flight indicated with zero airspeed then keep adding a little pitch until you have to use left rudder to keep directionally aligned and then you are not far off zero airspeed. Switch to left seat look through the lower screen panels and line up a part of the aircraft with a spot on the ground to assess drift over time. One of the rudder pedals aligned to a ground mark works well. If you wish to do something else at this stage – Maps, Guns, coffee etc use the other pilot (AutoPilot) Over sea it will be more difficult, if at all possible to maintain a true static hover over a period of time but this is true in RL. Any higher, as Cib says, it is difficult to envisage such an operational situation.
  24. Hi Habu, Ikarus by Mcmicha with Export Script from the SDA work very well. Any or all instruments on any monitor, only use what deskop space you need... very easily to edit for size and position of instrument (s) and not to heavy on resources to run... Supports many other airframes as well.. https://github.com/H-J-P/Ikarus https://github.com/s-d-a/DCS-ExportScripts Might be of use to you....
  25. Just depends whether your english is 'english' or 'american/english'... Behaviour is 'English' Behavior is American English... colour / color etc... :)
