  1. Good catch. A bit worrying... I'll check the drivers they're whatever was on 4-5 months ago.

  3. We don't have ASM like other standalone modules.
  4. A PFM / ASM for any Su-27 variant would be awesome! ED make it happen!
  5. http://aviationweek.com/site-files/aviationweek.com/files/uploads/2015/01/1990-%20Su-27%20Pilot%20Report%20%281%20of%202%29.pdf On page 2 describing Take-Off : "...I depressed a small trigger on the front of the stick which provides approximately twice the braking power of the standard hydrolic system..." Is this brake modelled? I find when I hold w during take-off the plane moves forward just before reaching full aft. Edit: I missed that the wheel brake is release just before full aft so rolling might be correct. I would like some comments on this since this may also be related to the wheel brake and tire burst issue.
  6. Does the Su-27 have this? I would like to be able to use the toe brakes on my rudder pedals :D
  7. There is a glitch in the Su-25T. See attached screenshot. This was the training mission for shkval (I landed at the end). This was variable with zoom. The more I zoomed out the more the glitch showed but the more zoomed in I was the less it was (nil at normal zoom I think)
  8. +1000 I would really want to see an Advanced System Model for the Su-27! That would be EPIC! I'm more than willing to drop good money on that!
  9. Could these settings (graphics etc.) be posted in a wiki with explanations?
  10. Yeah but I don't want to have to do that EVERY time I start a mission. There must a better way.
  11. Is there a way to set the TrackIR default zoom? I find that when the game starts it's zoomed in too close when TrackIR z axis is enabled in DCS. I can "hack" around it by zooming in before game start but I would rather hack some lua file for this instead. Does anyone know where to find the line to modify? Or maybe it's an exposed setting that I don't know of.
  12. I've tried playing back my track from a simple mission I ran (basic take off and land) and it was cut off prematurely. I did accelerate the bit where I taxied first though so this might be related. Has anyone else experienced this?
  13. At 45000ft (13000) meters I find it very difficult to maintain my speed above 500kph. Any tips on how to reach Mach 1 let alone Mach 1.5
  14. I do pull up fairly quickly when I have a decent amount of forward momentum. I read the Su-27 has a service ceiling of 19,000m which so I'm 6,000 meters below this. What is the general technique for a zoom climb? I thought it was all about converting forward momentum to upward momentum. How to do it with out stalling?
  15. How do you zoom climb? I've tried on the Su-27 and I've only gotten to about 13,000 m. Some people have gotten to at least 25,000 but I find the plane stalls easily past 10,000 m. Does anyone have a video or a track of how to do it? The way I did it was air speed was around 800-900 kph at around 8000m and then I pulled up to around 60 degrees above horizon. At 13,000 I would stall. I use full aft the entire time.
  16. +1 this would be very useful to know as well
  17. I remember back in flanker that the Su-33 had optical guided rockets (anti-ship missiles mainly). I don't think this is implemented in DCS. Does anyone know if the Su-33 or maybe even MiG-29K would have optical guided systems? I would really like to see those if they exist on the real planes themselves.
  18. What about landing? For example using the wheel brake after touch down and then making slight adjustments with the rudder will cause the tires to burst as well. It just seems like they are VERY delicate
  19. It seems to me that the Su 27 tires burst really easily. For example, I have burst them while taxing. I think my speed (at least based on 1.2) was around 40-60 km/h. Does anyone have this issue? Is this a feature or a bug?
  20. To clarify, the MiG 29 doesn't have an MFD just a HUD repeater? How does one navigate or do BVR with AWACs?
  21. I like that in 1.5 the sun flares off the canopy to reveal the imperfections in the glass. When I was flying I thought that the stars were actually frost showing up on the canopy at high altitude. However I was wrong. But it got me thinking that that would be a really cool addition to the canopy effects.
  22. I copied the FC2 missions over and ran the Su-27 ramp start / navigation. Crashed sometime 15 minutes or so into the sim. DxDiag.txt with system info. 23. Good call on the system sounds. A possible set up would be to have three outputs: One for enviroment (wind noise , engine) which would go to speakers with a woofer, then another one for warnings & betty for smaller speakers, and finally a third output for headphones for ATC / wingmen. I think that would be a pretty epic setup :D
