Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
dok_rp replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks for fixing the Mi8, zaelu! However, the UH1 is still broken for the co-pilot. Have you further modified yours after the upload? Still, your work has made PeterP's work once again great. Thanks! :pilotfly: ======================================================== EDIT: I took the liberty to update the UH1 configuration using the tips you gave in your previous post about the "CockpitLocalPoint" value changes. I also changed the values for the SU-33 by using the same values from the Su-27. It works now as well. P.S.: I didn't use the exact values of the SU33 because I did not find the file "views.lua" for this particular aircraft under the FC3 aircraft. Therefore, I used the same values for the Su27. It seems to work ok. I think all aircraft are working perfectly as it is. Hope this helps!!! :pilotfly:  PeterP_Proper_Neck_1.2.8_Compatible.zip -
Hello guys, I was creating a REXEC action and it worked ok. Now, however, I would like to create an action in the Coolie Hat UP with REXEC which was shifted and unshifted. For example, CSU UP would repeat L_SHIFT+F4 and CSU UP (Shifted) would repeat L-SHIFT+F3. Is that possible? Thanks for any help!!! ============================================================== EDIT: I tried using the "IO" command after the "mapkey" function, but that leads to a syntax error. This is the code I am using: //Repeat MapKey(&Throttle,CSU,REXEC(01, 100, "ActKey(KEYON+PULSE+L_SHIFT+F5);")); MapKey(&Throttle,CSD,REXEC(02, 100, "ActKey(KEYON+PULSE+L_SHIFT+F3);")); Would there be a place where I could add the "IO" command, in order to make on repeating action "shifted" and "unshifted"?

Version 1.13 worked perfectly for me. Thank you!!! :)

Can you slave the Shkval to a waypoint on Su-25T?
dok_rp replied to Emu's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Since we don't have a simulated INS, we don't even get an inertial stabilization like the one we get in the Ka-50. I don't know if the real Su-25T has that, though. -
Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Bug 1 - DCS K-50/FC3/Huey
dok_rp replied to Overvolt's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I didn't see any problems either. To my eyes you have trimmed the Ka-50 nose down and is moving the cyclic to the left and letting go of it, thus allowing it to recenter in its "new" forward position. Care to elaborate on the problem you're experiencing? -
I have the warthog and it's quite difficult to maintain quality control when flying the UH1. The Black Shark and Mi-8 are ok because of SAS, but the american chopper is really hard to control. I haven't been able to have good results in the slingload missions because the joystick is really stiff and making small delicate corrections is a pain. I also have an 15 year old Microsoft Sidewinder 2 (non-FFB version) and I get amazingly better results when flying the Huey when I use it, because it's incredibly smooth and soft. The warthog is a good joystick if you mount in between your legs the way it was meant to be used. However, using in on top of a table, like I use, makes it a lesser candidate to fly helicopters. I don't know if I'd recommend it if you intend yo fly a lot of helos. A softer joystick could make you happier. My 2 cents. :)

The AI in this game, in every single aspect, is still work in progress, ATM. Maybe with future updates we might better more "intelligent" AI. :)

What joystick are you using? I'm asking that because if you have any Thrustmaster or Saitek joysticks, you can easily make any button "togglable". That's what I did with the TARGET software. :)
-
Thanks a lot!!! I'll be testing it!!! :pilotfly:
-
Have you tried setting these functions to a keyboard key and then setting these Keys within the TARGET software? I think it could work. :)

Sensitivity of the Thrustmaster Hotas Micro stick
dok_rp replied to DataHawk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I share your pain because I too had a lot of problems with setting the microstick to the slew function using the in-game configuration. To me, the problem was too much or too little sensitivity and, moreover, the lack of an acceleration similar to the one you get when using a digital command like the comma, semicolon and period Keys. The solution to me was to use the TARGET softawe and simply program these Keys to the microstick axis and voilà! Problem solved. I can now get the acceleration to cover longer distances and at the same time maintain fine control when I need to lock up a target. That's what worked for me. Hope I helped. :pilotfly: -
Hello guys, I hadn't flown the A10A in FC3 for a long time and yesterday I gave it a spin. I was surprised to see a bug that has existed since Flaming Cliffs 1.2 with the Maverick slew. Basically, you stabilize the seeker and try to slew. When you do that, the cursor will always move in the opposite direction you're trying to move unless you hold down the slew button and let it move in the opposite direction for a little while. Making minor slew corrections with the Maverick in the A10A is close to infuriating. I've searched the forums for this, specifically the A10A one, and found nothing. So, is this on my end only? Thanks a lot!!! :)

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
dok_rp replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
The game divides 1920/1080 which equals 1,777777777777778. That's why. :) In the end, the game engine understands the latter, not the former. :) Thanks a bunch, Lizzard. Let's see if PeterP could sort it out. I tried fiddling with the lua files and made it even worse. :P -
Thanks. I searched for f-16, f-16 pods, f-16 lightening pods, but I got nothing. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Ok. So it's a mod issue then? It's not just on my end? :) -
[Duplicate] Pods on the F-16 not attached and flying in front of the aircraft? Hello guys, When generating a mission using the quick mission generator, all F-16's get generated like this: I only had PeterP's proper neck mod installed, but removed that to see what the culprit was. Nothing changed. I didn't have this during 1.2.7. It only appeared after 1.2.8. Does anyone have that too? Thanks a lot!!!! :)

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
dok_rp replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
It used to be perfect during 1.2.7. I use 1920x1080 and the aspect ratio is automatically set at 1.77777. I didn't change any configurations or installed any other mods after updating the game. This is what I get when I use the mod with version 1.2.8 and sit on the co-pilot seat of the UH-1: Could anyone provide any assistance? :( And when looking back in the same seat: This is the normal view without the mod or with the UH-1 lines removed from the "lua" file: And then again looking back: Now this is what happens with the Su-25T when looking back: And now back and down a little bit: Now without the mod or with its lines removed from the "lua" file: -
Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
dok_rp replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hello guys, I started using this mod in version 1.2.7, but after updating to 1.2.8 a few things got changed and some cockpits are distorted or broken. Can anyone confirm that this mod became incompatible with the Su-25T and the co-pilot for the UH-1? I have removed the lines for these planes in the servers.lua file and their cockpits returned to normal. Would there be a fix for these planes as well? I got too used to this fantastic mod and I can't go back to the terrible default TrackIR camera control in DCS. Thanks again PeterP. YOU'RE AWESOME!!! :) :) :) -
This is a beautiful mod. Just wish I had the system to sustain good fps when flying heavy missions. Still it's gorgeous to cruise around with this kind of visibility. :)

Warthog HOTAS Broken with 1.2.8?
dok_rp replied to Whiskeybravo's topic in Controller Profiles and Problems
I am downloading 1.2.8 right now. I have my commands set up using the TARGET profiler. Do the problems occur only when you're using the commands set up in-game? -
A10-C on 3 23" monitor setup with a GTX 660 would run fine?
dok_rp replied to Maquiavelli's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You have a monster rig, BaD CrC. I would also love to see a vídeo of this beast running DCS. Care to share? :pilotfly: -
I have been using my Warthog for a few months now and I still haven't totally acclimated myself with its stiffness. I used a Saitek X52PRO for about 3 years and that stick is butter smooth when compared to the Warthog. It gets a little tiring after longer flights especially when flying helicopters due to the almost constant need for change in input. It also gets a little tiring when dogfighting with the P51 for you'll be constantly deflecting the stick. It's a good stick, but not without its faults. :)

Thanks! Downloading now! :)
