A bit off topic but, In the F-18 discussion thread there was a big discussion about this. This is what Sith eventually said (paraphrased). "The newsletter was from the world war 2 team working on Normandy not from the F-18 team working on WW2. The WW2 team had updates to share and the F-18 team didn't, so no F-18 news in that newsletter." It's not being pushed aside, there are two separate teams and now Belsimtek is helping with the Hornet as well, meaning you'll get it sooner. Anyways back to the topic, I certainly hope we get realistic FLIR in the future and as said it'll probably be with the F-18. And I do agree, I wish that the current airframes were fully functional.

You should only have to tune awacs and the tanker. Don't bother with ATC in MP.

Full flaps and gear down before final. Put the velocity vector onto the part of the runway you want to land on. Keep it there until you're about 50-100 feet off the ground, then start slowly easing the stick back until you have a nose up attitude and put your throttle to idle. Try to keep you vertical speed indicator on the hud to -1 or less. If you do this right you should greaseit in right where you want it.

Btw to get groundpower you have to use lalt+space bar to open the chat menu, then it should work.

Most of us complaining fly solely on teamspeak with each other coordinating everything. You can't say to get better tactics when you only get a missile warning half a second before it blows the front of your aircraft off. Also quoting real wars where you have incentives to RTB to Open Conflict where the airquake is takeoff spam AMRAAMs and then eject and spawn a new aircraft isn't proving or supporting anything, two completely different things.

Lemme toss my hat in the ring Shabi-upon watching the video again I realized you used a textbook attack as Cosmic said, I stand corrected and am sorry for any disrespect. To Mirk, I vote to remove AMRAAMs, but also several other missiles. Do it Blue Flag style and throw us back to the 70s. F-15s started out with Sparrows so let's limit it to that, same with the Russian equivalents (I have no experience with them) as well as the Mirage etc. I think even the ground pounders should be limited to oldger weapons. Might help the air quaking and wouldn't make the server any less enjoyable.

There is already an Feet Per Minute/descent and ascent rate gauge in the cockpit which you could presumably pull data from, using side slip and AoA makes it more difficult than neccisary if im understanding your request right.

You can play a .ogg track on a radio channel (Chuck has a guide on it somewhere) but it can't be hot swapped, so you'd have to set several trigger events that would activate one of the sound files that applies. It also means that the data would be limited as you'd only be able to mention predefinables (i.e. Sochi Adler has been captured) and not other things (e.g. NASA6 crashed in conflict zone).

I'd rather have a keyboard shortcut than nothing at all, I guess it's kind of nit picky but I like the effect for screenshots, vids, etc.

So I've seen several screenshots of the F-5 parked on the ground with the gear doors hanging open. How do I get this to happen? I've tried running the HYD pressure to 0 but that hasn't seemed to have worked. Any ideas how i can get this to happen?
