Not putting in for either myself, I think this an excellent way to give back to the community.
I just hope they go to someone who genuinely needs and cant afford them. Not someone with a top end system with top end peripherals.
Rep incomming to CCCC
He made this post 4 months ago, I would assume the forum staff would have recieved notification from someone of its existance in that time. As its still here I would once more assume that it is allowable.
However I could be wrong.
Can you not set something on your joystick to act as rudder?
I have an x52 which twists for the rudder but it also has 2 rotaries on the throttle, I have in the Mi8 and Huey set one of the rotaries to act as rudder so I can twist the dial and leave it where I want.
I've said this before so will say it again.
There will no doubt be a standalone 2.0 installer.
ED cant expect everyone installing it to have come to DCS via 1.2.
Some will have it as their first taste of DCS, to to expect new users to download and install 1.2 then have to download updates and install them to convert it to 2.0 isnt logical at all.
There will no doubt be a full release version of 2.0 downloadable from DCS site. Not everyone coming to 2.0 will have arrived there via 1.2.
New users wont be downloading 1.2 then having to update it to 2.0, stands to reason there will be a full standalone client.
There is no harm in deleting 1.2
