  1. I searched for some documentation on the IDS Variants. These MFDs/Screens seen in some Pictures came with ASSTA 2 already. Regarding German variants and classification I see chances for ASSTA 2 in DCS. In regards of the british variants I go with GR.4. Based on Infos from the Web the GR.1 variant had no FLIR, LASER, GPSWR and no night time operation capabilities. So it is GR.4 for me. And GR.4 is a 1998 Modernisation. So it should be possible to get it into DCS. Since the Tornado is retired in the UK the chance to get former classified documentation and information should be higher. I am not sure how accurate those informations on the web are. Maybe some experts and some active or former tornado pilots can shed some light on those variants and its differences. My bets for Heatblur doing Tornado IDS Gr.4 or similar are pretty high, after experiencing their great work with the F-14B Tomcat. I would say 80:20 chance. It would fit Heatblur very well. It should be possible for Heatblur to get well and swift through development on such an Tornado IDS Project, since all the experience they made with the Tomcat.

  3. Is there any kind of BlackShark 3 Development status page I am missing? Trying to get new information on the status of the Cockpit, Content and 3D Model updates. Can somebody provide me any info on that? regards
  4. Sounds nice. We get the Super carriers and additional carriers. The more the better. Thanks for the quick answer. All the goodies to me please :D
  5. One question that bothers me: Extra discount only for F-18C and F-14 not included? I remember deck crews for carriers first came up by Heatblur including pictures from it. Is the Supercarrier DLC solely made by Eagle Dynamics or is this a joint effort by ED and Heatblur? What about the pictures from Heatblur, is there more planned in regards of carrier deck crew and not only for sueprcarrier dlc? Any hints would help. Did not find anything new in the Heatblur section of this forum. Kind regards, MKev
  6. At least we are smarter now. No more Mysteries :D EDIT: Would love to have same Documentation papers by Lockheed Martin for the F-16C Block 50 like the ones for the new F-16V model for greece. This would provide a nice overview of the capabilities and features for someone who is not familiar with each model. regards, mkev
  7. Since JSOW is not for Store 5 and ECM looks different, my guess is that this is the F-16C or V Block 60 or 70 with Reconnaissance Pod. The AARS or DB-110 Reconnaissance Pod to be exact. I have no idea if the F-16C Block 50 is utilizing the same Pods. Full Lockheed Martin documentation on the new model: https://www.lockheedmartin.com/content/dam/lockheed-martin/aero/documents/F-16/F-16V-Geece-Exec-Sum.pdf kind regards, MKev
  8. thanks for pointing me on my last post. i corrected that: Panavia Tornado was informally announced 3 years ago and all that is known is, that it is worked on by one or two 3rd party developers. Even a Mesh model was done back in the day and another developer studio gave information that they are into it: RAZBAM: Polychop: QuiGON made conclusions on the wishlist forum and the rest is history: My conclusions: Tornado is informally announced and additional developers have stated that they are working on it or at least are in preperation. Pointing back on my original post in this topic i wanted to state that there was the info that the Tornado is coming and since then people are talking about variations and models of the Panavia Tornado. kind regards, MKev
  9. Here are some of my favourite wallpapers i love to use:
  10. Good that means our F-16 should have it too.
  11. As far as i know, there is no F-16 except the newer model with the new MFDs including the 3rd centered MFD. Those can display a digital MAP. But i can be wrong here. All info i have is from official Lockheed Martin. Thats a newer F-16 model. Here is the official Lockheed Martin Information paper on the new F-16V for Greece. It is official and open to puplic. Just a Information booklet. Nice read: https://www.lockheedmartin.com/content/dam/lockheed-martin/aero/documents/F-16/F-16V-Geece-Exec-Sum.pdf kind regards, MKev
  12. + 1 + 1 + 1 . . . Outstanding Idea. You have my Support !
  13. My best friend gifted me the F-14 Tomcat a week ago. Because of a accident i have no work atm and could not afford it. Not being able to buy a module i waited to get for so long made me sad. We are flying the tomcat since we have it in multicrew and i can tell you it is by far the best experience i ever had in D C S. It is a bit to learn at the beginning, but who knows to fly a A-10C or KA-50 and grasps systems quick, gets the hang of it reasonably fast. You also have a nice manual where u can look things up if u need info on something. But there is no need to read every single of those 350+ pages. Tomcat is well designed and intuitive in my opinion. The only thing that makes me nuts is, that i did not figure out how to accelerate the IFF procedure. Takes some time to identify one blip after another. EDIT / Update: There are many great modules in DCS. But i must admit that in my eyes the F-14B is the Benchmark atm. The shaking, the wings bending under G-Load, and those vortexes /air turbulence effects behind other planes, tanker or even the phoenix missile is something i did not experience in any other of my modules. I hope ED will add some of these effects to the upcoming F-16 module. It makes the feeling of flight and the behaviour of the aircraft more authentic if u understand what i try to say. So i totally agree, a two-seat variation upgrade option later after the F-16 release would be AWESOME ! kind regards, MKev
  14. WE NEED LIKE BUTTON IN THIS FORUM! (Sorry for CAPS) In Order to give Forum participants a thumbs up if they deserve it. Does anybody know when this update will come? Hopefully this year and if i am allowed to state a dream: release before F-16 ? To Eagle Dynamics and their Employees: You guys are making me happy this year. First i get the Information through the newsletter that my beloved F-16 Fighting Falcon "Viper" is coming this year. And now KA-50 the module i first bought, that feels to me like driving my car everytime i enter it, is getting an overhaul and an Upgrade? Oh Lord this is amazing! Please ED tell me this is coming sooner than later this year. best regards, MKev
  15. Yes, this would be a great addition to D C S: kind regards, MKev
  16. A lil addition: In my head i see a bright future for DCS. Dynamic Campaign (not this script bullshit we have now) where OPFOR AI and BLUFOR AI is simulating a battle and provides defences, resupply of front stationed units and deploys defences and offences over the map, oriented by borders and frontlines. All the player does, is calling in for duty in one of BLUFOR or OPFOR squadrons. There is a other well known simulator that introduced this kind of dynamic campaign in the 90's. And it works well up to today. We have 2019 now and I see a future where DCS is having at least the same capabilities or even better. Where the Player or a Clan, Virtual Fighter Wing or what ever decides and plans missions for the AI that plans out the war and has the ability to choose Squadron A with Block 40s - F-16, or Unit B with block 32's, or unit C with block 50s etc. Maybe we have several F-18 variants in the Future, CVA Squadron with F-18E/F etc. etc. These Campaigns run for Weeks. You have to plan resupply missions. You have to move units From A to B where a flight can take more than 1-2 hours because of map size and you have to refuel in air to make the trip. When u dont do such flights, Airbase XYZ has no new aircraft to restock because they are still back at home. When these resupply missions are done, you can start planning additional SEAD, CAP, CAS etc. missions. I see B-52 or similar controlled by players in multicrew. I see player piloted C-130 Gunships. I see AWACS aircraft controlled by human pilots. I can keep going and going . . . Thats a dream i have. A bright future for Eagle Dynamics and their baby: D C S
  17. Like i mentioned earlier: EDITED: This is just a what if scenario. Because of the F/A-18 tech, ED is possible to make the F-16C that quick. The Tornado was informally announced, and people start talking about variations and future possibilities because of the multicrew tech introduced into the game. There was a question on Heatblur section recently regarding F-14D and if it might be possible to see this variant in the future: Asking for possible future variations of aircraft, even if the first one is not released or done yet is legit. All i ever wanted was a block 50/52 model in DCS. I have no point to complain and this topic is no complain topic it is a what if topic. ED will gain more experience and new tech from developing the upcoming F-16C Block 50. The possibilities for future variants in future scenarios is endless. I am not suggesting a brand new Block 60 or newer (F-16V Blk.70/72) model from 2018. There are a lot variants from 1998 up to 2007/2008. And if ED will not make other variants, no problem. But no one can tell what is up for grasp in 5-10 years from now. Playing Persian Gulf or future Lybia Egypt scenarios without variations of F-16I (even old ones) or the Egypt models is hard to explain. regards, MKev
  18. I just came up on another awesome Video from The Fighter Pilot Podcast. They watch and talk with expert (Pilot with more than 4000 hours on F-16) about the F-16 Video. Enjoy: regards, MKev
  19. Two nice Videos of our beloved Viper: Gerard Butler will feel some G's :D Awesome Video: Awesome 4K Video of "Gizmo": kind regards, MKev
  20. yeah a two seat variant would be a very nice addition. :)
  21. Hi there, I would like to discuss the possibilities of future F-16 variants. Finally the F-16C is on our doorstep and i am very happy about it. With this F-16C Coming to DCS, a huge dream of me is coming true. My question is: Would Eagle Dynamics consider adding different F-16 variations to the Simulation Platform DCS if the upcoming F-16C Block 50 variant is well received? And if yes, what kind of variants would you love to see? Do not get me wrong i am verry happy that we get at least one F-16 variant and a good one too, but this topic is for a "what if" scenario. One variant i would love to see is the Israeli F-16I with or without CFTs: Israeli F-16 History: Israeli Air Force F-16A Netz 107 with 6.5 kill marks of other aircraft and one kill mark of an Iraqi nuclear reactor, a world record for an F-16 An Israeli F-16I (Block 52) with conformal fuel tanks (CFTs), internal/integrated Electronic countermeasures, and other external stores during a Red Flag exercise at Nellis AFB, NV, July 2009 The F-16I "Sufa" ("STORM") This F-16 variant would introduce more variations of weapons and systems. Additionally it would add another multicrew aircraft to the Simulations Platform DCS. What do you fellow virtual Pilots think, what variation would you love to see in DCS? Let us know. Kind regards, MKev
  22. Cockpit looks outstanding already. But the external model and textures need a lot of work to match the quality of the F/A-18 or F-14B. My biggest concern is, if the the flight model is well detailed. Did experienced former or actual pilots of the Viper help testing and develope? Or is this all just based on data and guessing? DCS is a simulator where i expect to get as much close-to-realism out of a module as possible. No less. A competitor does have the feedback and testing of such personnel. Besides that, the F-14B shows how it should be and the F/A-18 is a good module too. I hope for the best. Keep up the good work ED. What i see so far makes me happy. kind regards, MKev
  23. I received F-14 as gift yesterday and i am in training now. I can not find any Walkman and or the Sountrack promised in trailers. Can somebody give me advise here? I also found out that it is not possible to crank up the engines in cold/dark startup tutorial. Is that a known bug? In the Heatblur cold/dark startup video it worked. Any help is appreciated. Would love to hear into the soundtrack but dont find it. UPDATE: FOUND IT! regards, MKev
  24. Sir i'm sorry, i did not mean to offend you. Was just shocked after your statement that this and that is not correct on the diagramms and cockpits we learned to know and love without deeper explanation.:joystick: And yes, we should keep this thread for the DCS module. I understand. Does secrecy include information about cockpit alignment and schematics? You may hit me on PN for the answer to keep this thread for the module and not for such side questions. kind regards, mkev
