I noticed my AB not lighting off once. I did some reading and if I'm not mistaken, found it in the actual manual of the F-5 in the engine limitations section that going mil to max and back again can cause the AB not to fire and may even cause an engine flame out. Also, to avoid going from lower throttle settings to max at higher altitude and high G maneuvers. You should pause a moment at Mil before going Max. Basically, I'm not convinced it's a bug. If anything, the engine behavior might be a little too lenient.

Well, the info is definitely helpful to me, but I've been flying the F-5. I feel a little like I've wandered into enemy territory here. HAHA Fitting, considering it's a navigation thread.
-
Thank you so much. I figured it was navigation, but couldn't for the life of me find what it meant. I've been trying real hard not to use the kneeboard carrot. Thanks again for this campaign.

I'm trying to make sense of the mission cards, but I don't really understand everything I'm looking at. Is there a resource I can go to study and get more out of these? It looks like you put a lot of work into them. Example, the flight plan with a note of GN (90) 354/23.

Couldn't this signal then be used for ADF navigation? Which would also be awesome.

I think mine is something like "AWACS page", "ATC page", etc. "Show Log" and "Show Notes" still worked, but the other tabs were "page".

fixed Destroying Enemy Ships SP Mission... No ships

I'm glad you confirmed this for me. I was thinking maybe I was just not seeing them, but I couldn't imagine how I was missing them. -
I'll definitely be picking this one up on release. Will it support multi-player? I'm trying real hard to rope my buddy into picking up the F-5. What about the Mig-21 version?

I was just about to post how my TGP laser was not functional. I had just started using the TM warthog hotas and thought maybe I was missing something. I was, I was forgetting to ARM the laser. Of course I figured that out well after wasting all of my ordnance.

With the edition of a sky light that hangar is now a popular hangout and singles bar.

Seems like I heard mention of improved AI in DCS 2.0, is there any chance of this being fixed? This does explain why my wing man ejected right after take off when I was practicing touch and gos. I briefly cried for him, then thought of his newly widowed wife. Surely she will need some comforting. If her AI is as bad as his was then certainly the rule of hot vs dumb applies. To ED: never mind fixing the wingman refuel/rearm issue. Finish the wingman hot wife programming. Where's that petition? Have I just been playing too much?

Thanks, simple and quick. I like it.

You know when it's time to take a break from DCS A10-C when..

Germany considered it already. Even German engineering couldn't quite make it fit. -

When you start considering how much easier other aspects of life would be with HOTAS control. I vaguely recall something about other aspects of life. -
Would never have happened with a better HOTAS. Just waiting on the delivery truck. SMH. Slow delivery caused another pilot a fiery death.

So it turns out if you press your shift key 5 times fast a window pops up about sticky keys, or accessibility, or something like that. It was difficult to read at 230 kts heading for the ground with no control because DCS was not my active window. If this has ever happened to you I've found a helpful link to disable it. Funny, I found the link on a microsoft help page as a response to the microsoft tech being no help at all. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-the-irritating-sticky-filter-keys-popup-dialogs/#comment-104645 The very next post was something to the effect of: the best answer, go elsewhere for an answer. haha

Looking for Flight Instructor and/or Virtual Squadron

That's awesome. I'm too far for the 132nd. I'm GMT-8. The 132nd looks great though. I like the structure and the layout. I'm really looking for an online community to learn off of each other. -
I've been setting that for anytime I want to fly a particular heading accurately. So, I'm given an approach vector and it's a long way off. There are so many shiny things between here and there I'm likely to forget where I'm going, I'll set my hsi for my approach vector and later change it to my runway heading. It does seem to pin to the side sometimes though.

I was struggling with this last week (this is my second month also) so please correct me if I'm wrong people. 34 is 340, 25.6 is 256, etc. ATC headings will bring you about 2 NM out from the airfield. You should be able to spot it visually from there. As far as turning in I find it has been best when I see the air field at my 3 or 9 o'clock. I try to be at about 2500' then. I'm sure they are calling a heading and a distance, but I haven't gotten the distance traveled down just yet.

I'm flying the A-10C. I'm currently working through the maple flag missions Basic Flight Training. I'm using the logitech extreme 3d pro and have a warthog HOTAS on the way. TrackIR 5 really did make all the difference, so I'm pretty excited to get a hold of the new stick. I'd like to eventually work into the F-15 also, but primarily the A-10C.

How is the search going, Pantaros? I'm also looking for a squadron. -
I'd like to find a squadron that I can learn from. I'm in Alaska, so west coast USA is best. I'd like to speak with some members and see which one is right for me. I'm looking for realism and structure.

Exactly the ones I'm looking at currently. I'm also looking for a group or individual to fly with. My schedule only allows me to play for 2 weeks a month. So I can't make weekly commitments. It seems to me though that the only way to get the most out of this game is by passing on the knowledge.
