  1.:thumbup: OMG this I will follow! Great work Matbog!
  2. Very well done Jinef! Thanks for sharing! I will try this out as soon as possible. I avoid using TARGET so this was exactly what I was searching for. :-)
  3. I second Markeebo here. I also tried the Leap Motion. Yes. It's a good addition in Prepar3d with FlyInside, but for DCS, it's not accurate enough yet. It needs integration. Yes you can flick switches, but you are never sure when it's getting flicked, and you usually end up with pressing the wrong buttons.... But with some integration, I believe that could be just as awesome in DCS as it is in Prepar3d with Flyinside today.
  4. In the controls setting, in the "UI" section, You should be able to map both left and right mouse button to any joystick button.
  5. I am also having this issue. While it's not a dealbreaker, it certainly is annoying. In my case the default location is the thrustmaster folder itself, so probably we should be able to change the location somehow. I'm leaning towards searching the Windows registry for a solution, because I could not find any config file within the Thrustmaster Target folder that I could use to change defaults. When I check the Thrustmaster Target EDITOR You can actually add more locations into the editor for quick access, but for the Thrustmaster Target Profile editor, that option seem not to be available. So +1 for this, following the thread and will keep looking into the issue :helpsmilie: The Thrustmaster Target software should be overhauled and adjusted to follow the OS reference architecture. If so, we could simply choose where to put our profiles folder, or why not place it in the "My Documents" forlder or "Saved Games" folder in a subfolder for the software :smartass:
  6. In Sweden, I can't see that Saitek Pro Flight products have been restocked in our Flight sim friendly stores for quite a while now and no orders are accepted from stores. Have Saitek hold off on the production of devices pending a long term solution? :noexpression: In that case, I hope Logitech spins it off again so we can get our stores restocked with Pro Flight gear  Today I finally got my ordered Pro Flight Switch panel, so I'm happy for now **diving into the simulator for some DCS world configuration** :book::joystick:
  7. Thumbs up. Awesome setup! :joystick::thumbup:
  8. I had a GTX 970 before, and it handled DCS just fine, though I could never reach the 90FPS frequently. The 970 was in the bottom segment of compatible graphic cards. I upgraded to the GTX 1080 just recently, and I could not say it was worth the upgrade. I will keep it since it gave me a few more FPS and I believe it will be able to handle next generation VR headsets (I hope ;-) ) DCS World need additional programming to provide a even better VR experience, so I am quite sure that You will be more then satisfied with the 1060 if your CPU can manage it. DCS world graphics in VR is more about the simulation itself needing some fixes, rather than getting a over-the-top graphics card ATM. Just my 2 cents on the topic :-) Good luck!
  9. ...and the gear shifter would be a excellent landing gear solution as well for the simpit :pilotfly: http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/pro-sequential---std.html Punch it up to get gear up, and punch it down to get gear down! Hmm, thinking of placing a order :joystick:
  10. Polaris! I just want to shout this out! Fantastic work! My simpit and me cannot be happier. This setup have made me fly more and spend less time configuring :D The level of engagement you do for this community is... awesome! Thanks!
  11. Awesome work. You truly show that spending time on details will give you the best outcome possible. Smart way to Bezel the screen also. Keep it up! This I will follow :-)
  12. Awesome work Capt.Zeen. A contribution is coming your way! Thanks for your dedication to this!
  13. This is a very smart approach. I want to achieve the same thing as You. I already have heavy usage on the numpad with other mods and would like to use the non-visible F-keys. How did you map the F-keys in VoiceAttack? Since the keys are not on the keyboard, I have a hard time pressing them
  14. This is something I would really like to have as well. Since I upgraded my simpit with VoiceAttack and VAICOM, a headset is a must, and it would be great to have the comms in the headset and the other sounds in the external speakers, giving a "helmet on" effect.. I have not found any third-party scripts or modules making this possible either. :(
  15. OMG. yet another Capt Zeen production. Time to throw some more money your way I see. Contribution will come as soon as I'm back home :-) great job!!
  16. I surrender! Very nice work!
  17. Wow, looks good! Will follow this :-)
  18. I like the PlaySeat Air Force. It is sturdy and reasonable cheap. It also got a bar you can fix in the center if you want to use a yoke, and the sides are sturdy enough to hold the Thrustmaster Hotas Throttle and Joystick (though it's not 100% fixed so you will feel some small movement on the base). The seat is great, but a small warning. If you are 100+ kilograms, you might find the seat a bit unconfortable after a while! Alternatives is the Volair of course, and the Obutto, but they cost more (especially the Obutto). For the price, it's a great solution. Maybe a car seat is a alternative otherwise, probably cheaper to get from a scrap dealer and if you build a base like I did, you will probably be as good off with that.
  19. Thanks! I'm afraid I already got bitten... :pilotfly:
  20. Thanks! Actually my Trackir made the view go a bit off just before I took the picture, forgot to freeze the location :music_whistling:
  21. Hi. Background - HoBBiS I have been a flight simmer for years. It all started with the simulation F-19 Stealth Fighter by Microprose back in the 80's, running on a C64. I was hooked.... I have tried several flight simulators. I built a homepit with FSX, but I missed the combat part of flight simulation, so DCS world and Falcon BMS got me back on track. About My simple SimPit As of now, I am mostly using DCS World, but I want my SimPit to be generic, I don't want to focus on one single aircraft, nor one single simulator. My setup runs DCS World, Falcon BMS, Flight Simulator X (Steam), Prepar3d v2.5 and X-plane 10. At some occasions I also run some good oldies as well, if compatibility works, or if I can get a emulator working. Nevertheless, the main simulator is DCS World. To accommodate the multi purpose, I use a touchscreen for switches and exported view ports. Gadrocs Helios is the king here combined with LoZ profile for A10c, and Capt.Zeen profiles for several other aircraft. Now I also try to use HT (old Hawgtouch) to at least provide gauges for other aircraft. My sim pit is simple, and the wish list is longer than the list of already implemented items. 3x 27" Monitors (AOC) for main view 1x 23" HP Touchscreen Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog throttle & stick Saitek Pro flight combat rudder pedals PlaySeat Air Force seat Own built platform with separate central stick mount TrackIR 5 PC: 32GB RAM, 3.6Ghz Intel Processor, 1x Nvidia GTX750 running the 3 main screens, and built in intel adapter running touchscreen Logitech Trackball Simple keyboard GoFlight GF-TQ6 throttle quadrant (to accomodate other sims, and to run extra levers for some aircraft) Logitech speakers & bass This is just the beginning. I will likely upgrade, rebuild, change, modify etc during the way, but this setup works great as it is. The platform was just built, and it provided me a much better experience, since I could move the joystick to the center, instead of using it on my right hand side.
  22. I have been using this for a short while now. I have tried MiG-15, MiG21 mostly, but have also tried out KA-50. Works great! It should not be too hard to build a cockpit around the gauges using Helios either. Excellent work!!!! :pilotfly::thumbup::joystick:
  23. Thank You Capt.Zeen for yet another wonderful profile! It works like a charm!
  24. I've done some minor tests with the Rift, but unfortunately not with DCS. I like the product, but I miss the possibility to see and reach controls using a touchscreen or similar, and obviously the rift will prevent you from seeing your own homebuilt cockpit so it may be hard to find switches and knobs. Maybe it's just something you will get used to? How do you handle buttons/switches in the cockpit. Fumbling with the mouse as usual?
  25. Sent you a small donation and will keep doing that from time to time. Your work is a masterpiece! While FC3 aircraft are nice to have Helios profiles for, I would definitely vote for the MiG21 first. I have not been flying that a lot, just because I'm missing a decent profile ;-) Weren't you already working on a SU27 (or was it MiG29) profile? Thanks for your excellent work Capt.Zeen!
