  1. I've checked all the hints in this thread and one other thread about the cannon. Turn on "arms" power switch, switch on left panel forward, hit the "pyro" button to cock the gun. No guns. The AoA light will not go out in level flight at +315 kmh. The gun camera will activate, but no shooty shooty. Twice now, I've expended rockets on targets after deciding, "screw it then, I'll pass on guns", and after a couple of passes, the AoA light blinks out and the cannon starts working. I've attached a track. This is driving me crazy. I want to come in with cannon first and enfilade the column. Then turn after they scatter and use the rockets to mop up. But I cannot get the cannon to operate before I use rockets. guns.trk
  2. I'll be darned, I thought it was a toggle. I mapped the aft and forward position to buttons on the throttle.
  3. I've been seeing that "haze" as I'm accelerating on the runway. It flickers. It's between the landing gear strut and the cannon muzzle. I mostly notice it there due to the contrast with the runway I guess. I'm not at home or I would offer a screen shot.
  4. Try not "holding" the B key. Press once to open the airbrakes and again to close them. The hardware may be receiving the long pause as two individual signals, thinking it is a pair of presses.
  5. One of the first metrics I found to judge how well I was flying my L-39 was to watch a replay and pay attention to how much the nose of the aircraft yo-yo'd up and down. 'Cause it is extremely sensitive to pitch changes.
  6. I love flying this thing.
  7. Well, they're only .30 cal rounds so they don't have a lot of oomph...but you would expect a cloud of them to have a little more effect, right?
  8. I learned to set an azimuth and distance using the RSBN manual mode and successfully flew to the field I wanted. It's the small things sometimes. Of course, I had the ME map set to "imperial" units and forgot the distance counter increments in km. I was mystified why my distance seemed to be diminishing as rapidly as it was. Suddenly I'm at 0 km and the F10 maps shows at least 25 nm left.....ah ha.
  9. The way I fly, everything is beta.
  10. Got it on the ground without collapsing the gear this time. This thing is fun to fly.
  11. Ah ha! That's where I've been screwing up. Thanks.
  12. That helps. Thanks much. :)
  13. Can someone give me a tutorial on how to read and interpret the airspeed indicator?
  14. You missed a heck of an opportunity to mess with people ya' know.
  15. Thanks for the video referral. I'll give him a look-see. I've been referencing Bunyap Sims a lot and he's helped tremendously as well.
  16. I like to see how little space I need to turn it around and stick it on the runway.
  17. I just started on the A10C. Can fly it fair and I'm working on weapons systems training right now. I'm also "mature"; no matter what my wife says. My current work schedule is kind of crappy, but I'll try and get involved.
  18. I actually enjoy cycling through waypoints with CRTL + ` and using the HSI and HUD indicators to navigate. I find it to be more immersive.
