If you have the Mk1 G15 then ensure that your "PC/Game slide key" is fully selected left. The slide key is located just below the left hand USB hub towards the top of the keyboard. Not sure about the Mk2 G15.

Reverting to 186.18 drivers fixed my AA & AF problems.:)

I find that dual booting with Vista for BS and XP for FC is the only way to go.

I use the same kit and never had any issues. I may have read somewhere that using a non-powered USB hub might cause problems (I use a powered), other than that not sure.

Use DCSMax.exe if you have a multi cored CPU and you are running Vista.

It seems as though this is not uncommon, a few of our squad members have expressed concerns (including myself) over the quality of how this product is distributed.

Am I correct in checking the processes tab in Task Manager for memory usage? If so then I get following results for a minimised TIR5 in XP: 52,724K Unfortunately I do not have the MK 4 anymore for a comparision check. I am not overly worried as my system seems to handle it o.k, just mystified why my results are vastly differ from your own Crunch. Maybe I should reinstall the TIR software?

Having used both I have to agree with Skoiboy, the new unit does feel far more precise and accurate in operation. The design and build quality is far superior and is a major improvement over the MK 4, no more worries of accidental damage to the base or stem. Light filtering issues still exist (to be expected) but have been noticeably improved upon. Is it worth buying if you are an existing owner of the MK4, then probably not? If you do not own a TIR and are planning to purchase then go for the MK5, there is a £20 difference in the U.K. (R.C Simulations) Vista 64, 40,984K on desktop. Vista 64, 40,536K minimised to tray.

Had a wee chuckle to myself when I read this. I use the CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals with the addition of a new boxed Thrustmaster HOTAS sitting in my loft. At the end of the day it's all about personal preference and there is nobody more fastidious than the flight sim community. S!
