  1. I also wear glasses and I cured the reflection issue by making sure the middle led was far enough forward to be past the rim of my glasses. Devrim, I may have to give your style a try though! I cured the reflection problem but now it interferes with my coffee drinking.
  2. Very nice! Here's a pic of mine, frame cut from some thin, light-weight, Baltic birch plywood.
  3. For those of you who don't know the OP produces the great "Chuck's Guides" and is probably looking for the info to add/update the Gazelle guide.
  4. For a quick mission for the "L" just load-up one of the current missions in the mission editor, change your helo to the "L" and save the mission with a new name. The "L" is not yet available in 2.0.2.
  5. I guess the complexity of the A10C may be scaring me off, but I'm sure pretty soon I'll throw caution to the wind and grab it. Have to learn to focus on just one or two aircraft so I can really learn how they work. Currently enjoying the Gazelle but the temptation of the A10C may be too great.
  6. Gorgeous video! So what is the new editing software you used? Might even be what I needed to convince me to get the A10C. Thank you.
  7. Now that is really good looking Home Fries! Probably will be my default skin!
  8. Really enjoyed that, along with Uriah Heep!
  9. I never saw individual profiles in the beta. There is just one set of controls. You cannot bind the M hot missiles to the same trigger as the L gun/missiles, or vice versa. I had asked about this when the beta came out and the reply was that the hot missiles were fired from the gunners control stick. I set my X55 so that the trigger controls the L weapons, and the pickle switch controls the M's hot missiles. I imagine w/some fancy joystick programming it can be overcome but I like to keep things simple.
  10. The Gazelle was only updated in the 1.5.4 beta. Maybe 1.5.3 release will get the update tomorrow.
  11. I started your track and immediately took control and did an autostart and had no problems getting into auto hover. Like nomedeplume said maybe something was missed in the start-up? I haven't quite got the manual start down yet, fairly new to the Gazelle.
  12. Great flying skills! Thanks for the video.
  13. Thanks for a great update! Very appreciative of your hard work in producing these!
  14. Forgot about that. I'll probably just assign the L missile launch to the pickle button on the X55. Thanks.
  15. Is there a way to have multiple control assignments ? If I fly the "L" and have the trigger set for missile launch you cannot assign the trigger to the "M" w/o deleting it for the "L". As only one system is available at any time, hot/missiles/20mm, we should just be able to set a "main" trigger w/o resorting to using modifiers.
  16. Probably more free time than you think, based on the pilots I knew in the service. They would probably try things they would not dream of doing in the real thing. Isn't the hallmark of simulations the ability to go crazy just for the heck of it?
  17. These are very handy! Thanks Devrim!
  18. Thanks for the input Rogue Trooper and AVI-8. I've gotten a little better but will practice some more using these suggestions. I'm getting better at coordinating the collective and cyclic inputs, while monitoring the gauges.
  19. Have to wait and see. Depends on when Polychop provided them to ED and if ED had time to add them. I'm hoping they did myself!
  20. Yes, very nice indeed! Thank you.
  21. Thank you very much. I have been playing around with the bindings for my X-55 but I like your set-up. Off to re-map things and thanks for the link for the color TV!
  22. Holy crap! That looks like fun!
  23. Thank you both very much for the advice! Now to go put it to use!
  24. Thank you for the hints/tips. I'm okay exiting auto-hover, it's getting in to it that needs the work. Seems like when I pull the nose up to slow down I gain to much altitude, probably need some better coordination w/the collective at that time. Thanks again for the info.
