  1. On the PS3 eye turn the lens barrel to the red dot, then slowly turn it to the right and it will lock in between the two dots, closer to the red dot, not in the middle. This should help with your focus issue.
  2. Forgot about this as I use a USB charger not a PC USB port. A simple short in the clip could wreak havoc on your PC. Great advice!
  3. Here is the link to 361.60. It's a hot-fix driver. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3832
  4. I hate to admit it but those were "Tinker Toys". Also had an "Erector" set. What fun. I have to agree that these new legos are truly an advancement.
  5. I would try disabling (remove) the trackir x, y, and z bindings in the configurations settings.
  6. Another wonderful gesture for the community. Count me in and good luck to everyone.
  7. If your OS is Win 10 that is normal. Something to do with the new desk top system. Works like it should with something else open but you can't alt-tab directly to the desktop.
  8. Your filter settings look close to mine. It is an amazing piece of software, just takes some work to get it set-up to your liking. 2.3 rc21p6 is solid also.
  9. In your camera software settings you want to adjust the exposure so just the leds show, or as close as you can get. If you are using the Acela filter in OT you can adjust the sensitivity for the rotation/translation settings. That one requires some testing but this is what I use:
  10. 1- are you using IR led's or regular? My setup uses IR and I play with the room light on all the time. What camera are you using? 2- Probably stray movement on the Z axis. In the mapping window try setting a larger dead zone for the Z axis, or disable it if you do not want to use it. OT can be finicky to get set up but once done to your liking you'll be happy. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have about OT.
  11. Make sure in OT that you go to the point tracker settings and enter the clip dimension, camera data, and do a calibration. In the mapping window you can set the degrees of rotation/translation and how they are applied in game.
  12. Never used TrackIR so I can't comment on it. Like snowsniper said...he is happy with it and so am I. I've been using opentrack for over a year and it keeps getting better.
  13. I'm a sworn user of opentrack. Bought a used PS3 eye camera and built my own IR clip, cost me around $25.00 total. I currently only play DCS and IL2-BOS and opentrack works fine in both. Opentrack has come a long way and is continually updated by the programmer. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
  14. MI-8 Want a wonderful gesture on your part!
  15. Right, face tracking has been disabled in the current build, led clips still work, and the aruco marker system, among others. I use it with the Point Tracker protocol, 3 IR led clip, and PS3 eye camera. You have to scroll back a ways to get to the last stable/release build which was 2.2. It took me a while to get it figured out and info can be hard to come by on using it, but it is worth the effort. Click on the "wiki" link on web site for some further info.
  16. I don't use FTnoir myself but if your clip uses IR led's you might want to try out opentrack. It takes a while to get it configured, but it works really well and continues to be updated by the author. Here's a link: https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases I ditched FTnoir after I discovered opentrack.
  17. When I updated to 1.5.2 some files were copied out of the open alpha install. So it would appear some of the "content" for 1.5.2 is already in 2.0.

    Wallet Damage

LOL! Best laugh I had in a while.

    Wallet Damage

Oh yeah, the iron will work... I do like December though, b-day, anniversary, and Xmas, and I usually get "buy something for yourself", as she has no clue when it comes to buying computer related items. NTTR was my b-day gift!
  20. The VKB's are my first, and probably last, pedals. I love them and the vertical movement is easy on the feet/legs and no issues with them sliding around. I would rate the build quality/workmanship as excellent!
  21. I had the same issue with the 359 drivers, screen would go black. Accidentally found out that if I turned my monitor off, then back on, the display would be fine. Was happening with BOS also. I had used DDU to do a clean install of the 359 driver. Used DDU again to install the last 358 driver and everything was fine. I then just did an Nvidia clean install of the 359 driver and all is fine again...for now. It was really a strange occurrence to say the least, it only affected DCS and BOS, I don't currently run any other simulators/games.
  22. But once the updater runs it calls dcs.exe to start the program. In my beta bin file there is a dcs.exe file. So in theory your profile gets loaded when you run the updater but then when it calls dcs.exe another profile gets loaded.
  23. Ooops. You can try using Nvidia Inspector to create a new game profile name. You could call it dcs_beta and then link it to the beta dcs.exe. The profile should then show up in the NVidia cpl. You may have to delete the DCS Black Shark profile 1st in Nvidia inspector. You can find it here: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html I'm not sure this will work because there would still be two profiles linked to "dcs.exe" but I don't see any other options.
  24. In the 3d settings select the current dcs program and click "remove". You should then be able to navigate to the beta install and select dcs.exe.
