  1. Hey Guppy, Awesome Pit, I've been following your build and blog for a while. Who need's PointCTRL when you have all those touch screens, switches and buttons! It was interesting to see it go from what I thought was complete against the wall, to what you have today. Great stuff and thanks for sharing it. Miles
  2. Hey Rayman, We should have all of the components, and the last of the new equipment within a week. We are making good progress on the new injection/over-molding process. Our goal is to be through the current waiting list by July 15th. Thanks for the interest, Miles Edit: unpopulated PCBs are enroute,
  3. Yes you are correct, the early production was before the Aux Buttons were made so they were not tested. I would check the 4 pin connectors first, they are small and sometimes they can pop out if the pin detent is not bent up enough to engage the plastic housing. If that's not it and you have a soldering iron. It's an easy fix. Hit me on discord and I will send pics on where to check with multi-meter and where to put the soldering iron to re-flow the the solder. Sorry for the inconvenience, I expect a few of those as noted in my earlier post. Don't forget you can use the buttons with any joystick modifiers you have set up. I think Deano put his admin functions on a modifier. Escape, Chat window, recenter, ect... And RogueSqdn said he set up Short and Long press for different functions with Joystick Gremlin. I will take some pics and make some diagrams and see you on the discord. Miles
  4. Oh Crap, I hope they compensate you! No worries about payment, I will keep one aside for you. Miles
  5. Hey Memphis, Here is the link for the PointCTRL buttons we use. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Apem/ADTSM21NV?qs=iGLABakYCr9C63u7gEYeSg%3D%3D It says 1,000.000, but that is not accurate. The data sheets as kaltokri mentioned, has more accurate info. You have to drill down into the data sheet a bit. We use the 160gf buttons so the electrical life is 200,000 presses. Like Deano said most tactile switches are between are 100,000 and 200,000 presses. I looked for longer life switches with this form factor but it was a no-go. If a button fails, its a simple replacement with a soldering iron, or you can send it back for repair. Probably easier if I just send you out a few replacement buttons. Thanks for the question, Miles
  6. I don't know what material you are using, but I switched from ABS to almost entirely PETG, and I love it. Its really strong with great adhesion, little shrinkage, and best of all, no smell. You get a little more flex on thin parts, but the other Huey collective kept breaking the 3d parts, but your design looks better. The only problem with PETG is stringing, but as long as you use coast, and retraction, your good. Apologies if you already know all this, I learned the hard way. For simplicity, and your low price point, I would not need a throttle. But I only fly DCS birds. Maybe, an add on option if someone really wants one. Again, impressive work!!! I will be following this. Miles
  7. Hey Jack, All kidding aside, I have never tested it on a DK2, but the generic mount should work. You should be able to pick up a CV1 or other 1st gen VR pretty cheap now. Upgrading the DK2 may be a better cost/benefit for enjoyment than buying PointCTRL, or maybe even think of saving for a Rift S Just a thought, Miles
  8. Hey Harry, Still waiting on parts and the new bare PCBs. I also ordered 100 of v1 PCBs, just in case there any issues with v2 that would cause further delays for those not wanting to wait. I do have plenty of Aux Push Button kits ready to go. Just email Carol at orders@pointctrl.com with the subject line: Order-APB. In the body add the country being shipped to. It looks like the $4.50 USD international shipping option is working, $3.95 shipping for the U.S. buttons banks are 12.50 each and $25.00 for the pair. Thanks, Miles
  9. Absolutely awesome design and execution. I especially liked your 4 way hat design. I think you are going to be surprised at the level of interest of people who will want to purchase your collective. It looks much more robust than the other Huey collective that was made a few years ago in Europe. I had to do a few repairs on my friends who has it. I didn't see this in the input/output section of the forum, did I miss it? Anyway, very impressive build.
  10. I don't know if this has been mentioned, but when handing the controls over to the co-pilot,(auto-pilot) if we would choose between current barometric or AGL ground it would be great. The fact that the co-pilot will just slowly fly into the ground if the ground elevation increases slightly is frustrating when your looking at a map. Thanks, Miles
  11. Hey Mustang, Yes, you are correct, I am waiting on Micro-Controllers and Bare PCBs for PointCTRL v2. Stuff is really hit or miss. I am getting components or parts I don't need quickly, yet important items are stuck in customs, or US suppliers are waiting for restocking. Thanks, Miles
  12. Smoke 1-1 does a great job explaining his his work around here https://discordapp.com/channels/608478274472902656/700421269144731761/713517091659186198. I wonder if this is a windows bug or if the 4 virtual monitors are created for a reason?
  13. Hey Guys, To order the Aux Buttons for now just send Carol an email at orders@pointctrl.com with your call sign and AUX BTNS in the subject line. Include the country being shipped to in the body. US. Shipping is $3.75 and I am trying a method of international that is only $4.50 USD. We will see if it works, If not international shipping will have to be $13.50USD. Price for each tripple button bank with cable and double face tape attached is $12.50USD each, or $25.00USD for a pair. More info and pics at https://discord.gg/QJJVQzU under the aux-push-buttons Channel. I do want to make everyone aware the Aux connectors were not part of the original testing cycle, so their may be a connection issue with some early production. I have not had any reported issues, but I just wanted to make you aware that the possibility exist. If they don't function properly, and you have a soldering iron, its a quick fix. If you don't have a soldering iron, you can send back the HMS and I will make the fix. Don't forget to update to the latest stable version firmware 042120 and the the v4 GUI/VA. Firmware Password password is on your invoice, Just discord me if you can't find it. Thanks, Miles
  14. Hey Dave, 2.0 has not shipped yet. Its mostly just smaller, but will have a few added button functions. Here are some pics https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=273742
  15. Last of PointCTRL 1.0 Hey guys, It looks like I can put together about 10 more PointCTRL 1.0. The delays for parts does not seem to be getting any better, so I really don't have a good estimate on PointCTRL 2.0 being available. I will be emailing the the rest of the current group to see who would like a current 1.0 or wait for the 2.0. I will go in order, so you may not get an email right away. Thanks for patience, Miles
  16. I think the thumbnails automatically orient that way in the southern hemisphere. Either that, or RogueSqdn must have exited DCS while inverted.
  17. Hey Andrew, Did you re calibrate after setting up you panel? Re-calibrating at the same distance as the panel will dramatically increase your accuracy at the edges of you field of view. Just a thought, Miles
  18. Hey RatCatcher, Well you did name them... Yes, v2 FCU's will be available separately, and compatable with the current HMS with a firmware update. However, each FCU button press will be identified by the HMS separately, so we can add new functionality, such as pressing FCU buttons 3 on each FCU together ejects. or does some other admin functions. Thanks for the question, Miles
  19. Hey Drac, Good question. The Pics of V2 are mock ups without the PCB inside. I added onboard lipo battery charging components and circuitry through a vertical micro USB port to each FCU. We are able to control the charge current for more efficient charging of the slightly smaller lipo battery of version 2. I will have magnetic micro USB connectors available for ease of use and durability for those interested in that option. Thanks, Miles
  20. Hey Guys, First off I hope you,and those close to you are safe and healthy. Apologies for the shipping delays, as things have been very busy here with designing and manufacturing PPE products for a regional hospital system. PointCTRL v2 is coming along well. A batch of bare production PCBs have been ordered for proofing and prototyping production units on new equipment that should speed up the rest of the orders. Here are some pics of mock ups based on the current PCB design. Our goal is to begin shipping the first PointCTRL v2 kits by June 15th. I will be posting more detailed specs in a few days. But the biggest change is size, and injection/overmoulding of the FCus
  21. Yea, you are right, it normally it goes like this, 1) We post the now serving numbers, give it a few days for everyone to submit their orders via ordrers@pointctrl.com 2) We then place each specific order in its own divided bins, (HMS, FCUS, Aux button, Chargers ect.) 3) When the bins are full for the group, Carol then sends out the invoices while I test each kit as one complete unit, chargers, HMS, FCUs, Aux buttons ext. 4) When the invoices are paid, we can print the shipping labels and package the kits and take them to the post office. There is usually something that slows things down a bit but thats usually the plan. This time, since we are behind because of other projects I am sending invoices out as I get a chance to finish kits. Again, we are hoping to have inventory and new customers will be able to order right of the website soon. Thanks for your patience. Miles
  22. Hey Hammer, There are 7 customers in front of you, and I don't know if I will have enough PointCTRL v1s to get through this list. I am still waiting on the bare PCBs for PointCTRL v2. Parts shipments have slowed dramatically. I am moving into a bigger space and setting up full production for several products. As soon as shipments of parts and supplies resume, we should be on track to get through this list very quickly. We will also be announcing several new flight sim products when we finish up with the COVID assistance projects. I know a lot of you guys are stuck home, and have the time to use this stuff, and are a bit frustrated. Please know that we are doing the best we can right now. Miles
  23. Hey Gladman, No you don't, weren't you one of the first adopters? If so, please update to the latest firmware, instructions, and the Voice Assist GUI. I will DM you your password for the firmware. I usually have discord on, so you can usually catch me there for live help. Miles
  24. Hi Hammer 1-1, I see you on the list but do not see an order emailed to orders@pointctrl.com. If you email your order info using the "How to Order" format from the first post, specifically step 4, we will get you in your group wich is now shipping. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3607054&postcount=1 Thanks, Miles
