  1. Working on that, but the above solution from PhoenixRising should do the trick.
  2. Yes I did increase the sensitivity a while back, I am working on the ability for the user to adjust the sensitivity in the GUI. In the intern I will dial it back and send you a personal firmware update until I get the GUI integrated. If you have a red power indicator on your monitor you may want to to covering it up for now. The sensor will always respond to incandescent and some CFL lights. LED bulbs in the sim room are the best way to go. Miles
  3. Hey Terry, I PMd you the new tracking info, Hopefully this one gets there. Thanks for you patience, Miles
  4. Nothing, They said since its still in the system it will probably show up. I submitted a missing mail search, which will take a least 7 days. I am packing up a new one tonight, Do you want it sent to the same shipping address. Miles
  5. Hi Terry, If the local Post can't tell me anything solid in person, I will ship another one on Tuesday. If the original shows up, we can work something out. I know this frustrating for you, I appreciate your patience. Thanks, Miles
  6. We have returned to Connecticut from a working vacation in Arizona, and are back in production mode now, Invoices should be out in a few days. It was great to have the opportunity to work with the war fighters again. Thanks "Solo", for everything! it was a great trip. Miles
  7. Hi Terry, I have been traveling and I cant seem to get into my paypal account to get the tracking info. If it stays in Canada much longer I will just send out another when I get back. Sorry for your troubles. Miles
  8. Hey Terry, Sorry, I am traveling, I will see what I can find out. Every order has always reached it's destination........................ eventually. Miles
  9. Important Update: The new menu system broke up the spinning circle thingy, into three separate steps. This was done so you don't have to go through the first two steps of defining the cursor limits, and setting cursor targets, just to do a quick re-calibration. The reason they are at the end, is because they will usually only be performed once during your initial set-up of PointCTRL. The five point calibration is first so you can go right into it easily without having to run Voice Assist or decipher the cursor graphic for the menu item. I will be slowing down the cursor in the next firmware update. For familiarization and practice with the new menu, I recommend going full screen with the graphic below. Then enter the Set-Up mode with PointCTRL and cycle through the menus while observing the cursor movement and comparing it to the below graphic. Sorry for changing things on those of you that are already comfortable with the old system. I think separating the three set up items will be better for everyone. Thanks, Miles
  10. Hey Wayz, Should be within 30 days. Thanks for the interest. Miles
  11. Hi kenventions, First off, welcome to the forums, Sorry I missed your suggestion, and its a good one. The IR sensor array I use does not have that capability. I have done it with software but at the expense of cursor update rate and resolution. I kind of have a reverse implementation to filter out the lighthouse IR. If your in the weeds with this stuff, a standard TV remote runs at around 38khz or 38,000 flashes per second. My sensor reads at 200hz or 200 frames per second. That cuts my theoretical perfect world software implementation down 100 reads per second. Now add to that, we have an small exposure time window to deal with inside that 5ms read time. So now to ensure we get a good read (on or off) during that exposure time we have to ensure the on and off time is long enough to hit that window. Now this sets up a scenario where two frames can be read as on or off with one pulse. To compensate for that we now have to span two frames to get reliable reads. which cuts our raw usable sensor frame rate down to 50. Add to that all of the processing and cursor smoothing and we have very laggy cursor. I'm sure their are many other methods, I am my no means an electronics or coding expert, and I try and focus the time I have on the showstoppers. Thanks for your thoughtful suggestion, I really do appreciate it, and I liked where you going with it. Maybe in the future when these type of sensors improve. Miles
  12. No need to factory reset if your cursor limits and targets are good. The first item is the 5 point calibration that you can now do independently of the other two. I don't know of any multiple monitor issues, however you will notice when adjusting your cursor limit and targets, the cursors will move quicker when you press the FCU button. I will try and get a graphic reference up today for the menu. Miles
  13. Hey Sirrah, You are correct, it is slightly more sensitive to it IR. It helps with cursor smoothing, without any lag. I do plan on adding an IR sensitivity slider on the GUI for those that can't occlude the natural light. If your stuck now, I can make and email you a less sensitive firmware version. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Miles
  14. Hey Guys, the new firmware has a different menu system. Its re-designed to be used with the GUI/AUI. If you have the GUI up it will show and tell you what menu item you are on, and describe the procedure. I am working on updating the instructions, but if you run the GUI you wont need them. Don't forget to hop over to the PointCTRL discord channel to get support quicker than here. Miles
  15. Update: Now Serving 1 thru 275 Wishing everyone, a safe and joyful New Year Miles
  16. If your not using full screen mode, Try moving your windows taskbar to the left or right side. You may be activating and clicking on it when you attempt to select objects in the lower portion of your FOV. Miles
  17. Thanks Kirin, It really means a lot to Carol and I when you guys let us know how PointCTRL is working out for you. I am happy to hear you are getting much use out of yours, and it's contributing to your simming experience. Have a safe and joyful new year, Miles
  18. Update: All invoices are out for up to #250. If you haven't received your invoice, please email Carol at orders@pointctrl.com. Everyone who has paid, should have received their tracking numbers already, and I hope to have most, if not all of the orders out by Monday. The new group will be announced as soon as the last one goes out door. I actually got a chance to finally set up some aircraft and fly a little DCS tonight. I forgot how much I enjoy flying the Huey. And I have say, that PointCTRL does work pretty damn good when you are actually using it, and not just testing. With the little time I spent flying tonight, I can really see the need for virtual buttons intuitively placed around the perimeter of the FOV for all of the admin stuff. Only after I get Chics PointCTRL, for Non/VR done though. I got your patient nudge Chic. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays with family and friends, and please, have a safe New Year. Thanks, Miles
  19. Yes Sir, I'm on it. Thanks for the recommendation. Miles
  20. I am trying get the first 1/2 of the current groups out today. For those of you who got your tracking info, would any of you be like the FCUs pictured. They are already made for an U.S. Air Force order. I can finish the standard ones also, this would just speed things up to get them out today. Thanks, Miles
  21. Great, glad to hear that worked for you. Miles
  22. Hey Phoenix, Once you determine which com port PointCTRL is on( see reference Pic 1 ), you can change PointCTRLs com port( see reference pic 2). If there are no free ports below (com10) you can delete old unused comports assignments. (see reference pic (3). Hope that helps, and thanks for bringing this up. I will have to add it to the GUI. Miles

  24. Hey Kirin, Thanks for trying, I really appreciate your time. Los has a Reveb coming Monday, so I plan on spending the afternoon there getting some good data. @FlankerRider, I am just getting away from the reflow oven and 3d printer fumes for a bit.
