  1. Ok then, thank you.
  2. So my doubt rises again... does an AWACS can detect enemy naval vessels position and send it to the F/A-18C via Datalink ?
  3. Thnk you QuiGon, that I din't know, doubt answered then.
  4. I have a doubt regarding the Hornet Link 16 (can also be called Datalink?) : Created a mission with : - ownship F/A-18C - allied AWACS - enemy AWACS and fighters - enemy Naval vessel Moskva Every unit appears at the SA page when the my datalink is active, except the enemy ship Moskva. Is it supposed to also appear, or are the naval vessels WIP for the datalink ?

    Carrier ops

Hello, A blanket would be useful yes, it's cold this time of the year... just kidding  No need to worry, not that my credibility would be such an important mater, as I'm not that much an important personality. And yes, I'm tired to know the Navy did fly F-16s... for training purposes. (I've been reading stuff about TOPGUN for decades.) https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/3383/what-it-was-like-flying-and-fighting-the-f-16n-viper-topguns-legendary-hotrod
  6. Let's not go off-topic and keep the subject military aviation related... what a "bombshell" there... :D

It can be done, if done by me. I'm such an outstanding pilot, that I can land anything anywhere...

    Carrier ops

Being the F-16 an Air Force jet, I'm not seeing any realistic operational reason whatsoever, for it to land on a Navy Aircraft Carrier. You can see from small details, i.e. its landing gear form ( comparing with the F/A-18 ), that it wasn't designed to withstand the stress of carrier landings. As far as I know the F-16's tailhook is there for emergency landings at... land bases.
  9. Hello, Yeah that aspect of keep sleewing the Wallleye after release I was forgetting - I've to spend more training with it. But @Eviscerador mentions 35.000 feet in his post... does he mean release altitude, instead of lock altitude ?
  10. With the Walleye, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but never managed to get a lock at a very big target (Cargo ship), until at 6 or 7 miles near, and 6000 to 7000 feet altitude... Either with Datalink or TGP... so I must be doing something very wrong.
  11. This ^ AMRAAMer, what you mention is perfectly trivial. Sometimes, I also play other genres than combat flight sims, and also other stuff than PC gamming. But remember the following: - until VERY recently, such a big variety of high-fidelity level modules, (either helis, jets, propellers) just didn't exist on the market; - while it's true that some well known "lite sims" had almost every military flyable aircraft, surely none of them are high-fidelity featured (systems, avionics, flight models) like the DCS ones; - I've played a LOT of hours in one of those lite sims essentialy because of the Tomcat (and eventualy also tried many other aircraft as well)... although that Tomcat never was at Heatblur one's level, that's what was available at the time, so I got the most I could out of it. Meaning, today we luckily have access to highly detailed modules for our hobby, but sometimes people just don't feel like keep knowing all that because it takes time... although more juicing and interesting details are there. Eitherway, doing a break now and then is the way things were meant to be.
  12. Pertinent question indeed, as always I tweak with that QTY and MULTY options, my JSOWs and other ordnance doesn't release symetrically anymore.
  13. Etirion, Thank you very much for your effort detailing the whole stuf here !
  14. Do you have some print-screen ?
  15. So just to have a general idea, can anyone elaborate on this ?
  16. Hello, I'll admit that the F-16 also caught my attention, and I fully know that it's very early access but I would like to have an idea: Currently after today's update, what general systems and features are still missing ?
  17. This ^
  18. I've got the T.16000 less than a year, and already developed some center play in the pitch-axis...
  19. Do you point with the mouse cursor to the specific Harpoon compatible stations, or do you chose the tipe of mission also (CAS, CAP, fighter sweep, anti-ship, etc) ?
  20. Very good then, so what does it make feel special to you when comparing whith the others you also have ?
  21. Interesting points and my hesitation continues. Thank you for the clarifying details Ramsay.
  22. How is that, being the Hornet with AIM-120, and the Fulcrum with its "weak" A-A radar ?
  23. Let me remind that I'm yet very noob in JSOW employment. (Only started trying it last week for the first times, in TOO + Manual mode.) So, I believe you must first select every station / hardpoint, so you can input other necessary parameters - modes of employmnet, TOO reference, etc. My problem is that I was getting an even more asymmetric sequence than those you mention: - when only carrying 4 JSOWs total (1 per hardpoint), I was getting the hardpoint release sequence: 2 - 3 - 7 - 8 ... you can see it's an highly unbalanced (the worst) sequence. After some tries, I managed to get the sequence: 2 - 8 - 3 - 7 un-selecting the stations / hardpoints, (not leaving them boxed at the QTY page) after doing the necessary inputs . Either way, I'm yet to come to terms of the "quantity" and "multi" (for other ordnance) parameters.
  24. I've read about them since last year or so when I first started to look at Mirage and Hornet. But nowadays I think I've read here that a part of them are already solved... or does it still a lot of them to be solved yet ? I see... and about dogfight capabilities, is it something special like I read here sometimes ? I've read some threads about its maneuverability (against the Hornet for instance), but was somewhat inconclusive - some say the Mirage is overpowered, others say the Hornet is too. What captivates me so far (besides the price discount), is: its an European aircraft; interesting airframe; top speed; maneuverability; somewhat different HUD symbology; etc. But I would also like to know more from what you guys see special in it, if possible. Thank you.
  25. Glad to know that, also I would appreciate you guys opinion : I've been looking at the Mirage from some time already, and the tanksgiving sales really are eye-catcher. So I would like to ask: for me which already have the Hornet, the Tomcat, etc, what does the Mirage 2000C brings to the table in terms of news / particular / interesting aspects ? What more can the Mirage offer when comparing to the Hornet ? Thank you.
