gotcha, i thought the Jester was more of an "AI" in that it would seek out targets if you told it to. i think Jester 2.0 is more along thie vein
-
huh? your response doesn't seem to correlate to the comment you quoted. i mentioned turning on the APU during landing in order to maintain electrical supply to your systems. this seems to indeed be the case. and good to know the ECLs are bugged and can't properly shut down

The Load is Swinging Fore and Aft...Tim? Ten? Tam?

interesting. however I never heard anything other than "ten". there was no "5" or "15" or any other number. only 10, again and again and again -
weird. i'll try again and flip around

ohhh. definitely does not sound like "tension". maybe he just shortens it to 10. i kind of think there might be some issues with sling loading in general beyond the annoying tension guy. for example I've got TWO sling load cargos below me and no matter what I do I cannot drop em. I was trying to drop them into a volcano but they will not eject. I've smashed the cargo hook release button (after opening cover) and also flipped the emergency cut switch. the cargo will not leave me nullnull -

no i'm over 1000' agl. he says this no matter what -
I thought it grabbed all cargo within a certain radius of the chinook? does it only look out the back? all of the cargo here was sitting together as far as i could tell
-
The cargo guy is driving me nuts. He's constantly saying something I can barely understand like "the load is swinging fore and aft...ten" over and over. Ten what?! Tim? Tam? How can I make him understand I don't want to hear him anymore

Chinook Operational Training (digitalcombatsimulator.com) With this mission you're supposed to pick up 4 medical supplies, however there are only 3 at the camp available to load. Anyone tried this mission and run into this issue? null

What do the large OUTER KNOB and MFK_OUTER_KNOBs do?

great read. really helpful insight into what's making the wizardry happen behind the scenes. do we know, which of the 5 augmentation modules listed above are currently in the EA release?
-
thanks, this is great info. really nice to hear that what I'm experiencing is in fact correct and how to balance it out. definitely a much different experience than the Huey
-
I noticed that on several missions the Huey has been overloaded by 1000lbs or more. Is this intentional? null

gotcha. so standard procedure is to always turn back on the APU when coming in for a landing? any idea what the reason is to not allow engines to shut down? seems like a safety issue
-
Came in to do a short touch and go, and when I landed I lowered both engines to ground. This killed all of my electrical systems, is this supposed to behave this way? I also noticed the engine levers no longer worked. Even if I brought both of them back to STOP the engines would keep running.

was hoping there was a simple cycle waypoint key command (or forward/backward) or something similar like most other modules have. i tried messing with the DIR key but couldn't get it to work. which video do you mean?
-
Is there a key command to cycle flightplan waypoints?
-
is this an issue you have as well in DCS?
-
guess we need to allow Bobby some more time at the controls while he gets up to speed
-
I'm doing the slingload training mission and following the instructions. However it doesn't say how to actually hook up the cargo? I'm hovering right over it but nothing is happening. UPDATE: figured it out, I had to get much lower and then it automatically connected. you must be lower than when you're used to in the Huey nullnull
-
Trying to get a sling load while using Bob, however he drifts all around and won't hold a spot. Is there a way to force Bob to hover in place?
-
not sure if I'm the only one with this issue, but I'm finding it very hard to read a lot of the numbers on the PFD/MFD when sitting back at a normal position. i have to zoom in much closer to make out what everything is saying. this isn't an issue with analog/steam gauges. Anyone know of a way to increase the font size? I doubt it, but thought I'd ask. I know some of the other modules have mods to do this. maybe they'll be around one day null null

ah I see I'm not the only one with possessed skids
-
yep thats the one

As soon as I touched down on the ship one skid exploded and then the main blades flew off into space. It was a soft touchdown. Is this ship meant to be landed on? null
