It was the first Turkish squadron to fly with the block 50 version of the Fighting Falcon. Previous orders had compromised both block 30 and block 40 airframes. With the Peace Onyx II and III orders, the newer block 50’s were ordered so the Turkish Air Force could have the availability of radar suppressing missiles. This task was completely new to the Turkish Air Force. With the introduction of the block 50 F-16, the main task of the squadron became SEAD. Since 191 Filo is the only of three squadrons within the Turkish Air Force (the other two being 151 and 152 Filos) to perform these kind of missions, these assets are a cornerstone of the Turkish Air Force. Besides this task, they have a dedicated strike role. Nuclear weapons were previously located on base, but since 1996 the vaults have been placed in caretaker status and weapons were moved to Incirlik AB. Since a number of years, all F-16s squadrons within the Turkish Air Force are multi-role. This means they can handle all missions, but are specialised in one. With the CCIP program – which will start in 2009 – the aircraft will get an upgrade which will prolong their service life and introduce a completely new cockpit and advanced electronics. This upgrade will enhance the aircraft even further to carry new kind of weapons and introduce new technologies which were not available at the time when the contract for these fighters was signed. In the aftermath of the coup d'etat of July 155th, 2016 the squadron was disbanded and it's aircraft transferred to 191 Filo."

Continue my study about Viper decals and stencil waiting for the official template. Now I started to do a Turkish Air Force Viper skin, that compared the USAF livery have some different coulored bilingual decals. That allow me gave me some experience to put when the official paintkit will be relese.

This is a provisional livery of the Italian F-16ADF Blk30 of the 5 Stormo, 23 Gruppo based on Cervia Air Base (Ravenna) From F-16.net "F-16 History 23 Gruppo was the second of the Italian squadrons to be re-equipped with the F-16. Unlike the other two squadrons – which are based at Trapani-Birgi, which is situated in Sicily – this squadron is based at Cervia AB, which is situated near the Adriatic Sea in the north of Italy. The F-16s replaced the venerable F-104S ASA-M in the interceptor role. The F-16s are leased from the United States for an initial period of 5 years, with an extension period for another 5 years. This extension makes it possible to make a smooth transition to the Eurofighter Typhoon, which is the intended replacement of the F-104 within the AMI. The F-16s in the squadrons are all ADF version. This was done intentionally because the aircraft only have interception duties. They could be made available by the USAF quickly without having to undergo extensive modification or upgrade programs before becoming operational. Besides their national QRA duties, the F-16s of 23 Gruppo are also responsible for the aerial defense of Slovenia. This country became a NATO member in 2004 and does not possess any fighter aircraft itself. Therefore Italy took up the responsibility to defend this NATO airspace. This duty is performed from Cervia AB since the flying time from the air force base to Slovenian airspace is short – just passing the Adriatic Sea – and a real deployment to Slovenia itself wasn’t deemed necessary nor economically feasible. The lease contract for the Italian F-16s is due to end in 2010.
