  1. yall ever notice the jingle when you turn on the RWR in the viper is to the tune of the first three notes of the theme to A Space Odyssey?? idk if its intentional or not lmaooooo, imagine the engineers designing the system having watched the film being like, hehe lets put that as the jingle XD
  2. Hello everyone, I hope you are fine. I share with you the liveries of Azerbaijan made until now. We want Azerbaijan to be added to DCS in the future, so work continue. 4. After last update I had problems with caution lights in my cockpit. As I checked in Control Reference their codes has changed E.g: DcsBios::LED lightMainGen(0x4476, 0x0020, 12); (Before) DcsBios::LED lightMainGen(0x447a, 0x0002, 12); (Now) This small diffrences made my lights completly usless. After changes in codes they are working. I saw that my segment display is not working with code that was fine before, so I checed strings, and they are diffrents too. E.g: DcsBios::StringBuffer<7> uhfFreqDispBuffer(0x4590, onUhfFreqDispChange); (Before) DcsBios::StringBuffer<7> uhfFreqDispBuffer(0x45a8, onUhfFreqDispChange); (Now) Anyone of you had same problems as me? Is there are any other thigns I should know?
  5. Hi, I've developed a new plugin for the F16 which is working with VoiceAttack (32/64bit Full versions only) You can see a demo here, JanJan DCS Demo It has over 50K commands. Download from JanJan discord server It can do the following: Vocal commands to control the entire cockpit. Perform ALL the radio communication commands you can say: Flight, attack air defenses Texaco, request rejoin Inboud for landing Checkin 15 minutes Ready to copy ...all of them Commands to control external views. Control the simulators and more. In addition, and this is the main strength of this plugin, it has other special complex command to perform other tasks. E.g.: Set ILS to any airport you select without specifying the frequency. After 'selecting' the airport you can ask for it's available runways and say set ILS for runway 26 left say Set TACAN frequency. Either set Tblisi tacan or set tacan channel 126 yankee followed by set tacan mode air/ground Set HSI course Set Backup UHF frequency Ask for a vector to the nearest airport Report external/Internal fuel level Set Com1/Com2 radio frequencies Set QNH Set and tune illumination for all available instruments Show/Hide and toggle kneeboard I also added many dynamic checks e.g.: Check that fuel flow is below your threshold value Verify airspeed is below your threshold before lowering the landing gear Verify speed brakes are closed Below are just a few of the complex commands: It has been used extensively for a few months but it is still under development. If you wan to take part in testing it, this demands going over the manual (which I attached), reporting problem and suggesting way to improve it then please contact me and I'll add you to my discord channel. JanJan_VA_plugin_for_DCS.pdf RECENT UPDATES Coming soon: An option to set and load MFDs defaults for all modes. Can be invoked using a vocal command and as part of the startup sequece. * Adding an option under *Commands* Tab to use 'recenter VR Headset'. This will stop the view from recentering every time the plugin tries to 'press' Num5. See doc or tool tip for further instructions. * Fixing command parser which may have not read commands from general keyfile properly. * **Adding Mariana Islands Support** * Fix bug when reading keyfiles * Updating/fixing typos in commands * Fixed model not selected properly on fresh install * Fixed DCS export when variables are not defined * Update profile * Update DCS-BIOS version * Fixed but with prevented reading data in 2.72 from ramp * Supporting VAx64 * **Adding support for the 'Filter Phrase' command in 3D including VR.** * See plugin doc for this new feature and how to setup & enable it. * Modified *Show comm menu* command to prevent possible bug when using VAICOM * Saving selected option for Backup tab in Config Form * Adding config options to specify DCS saved game folder * Added vocal notification to set laser code
  6. JSFG is open for recruitment for the F/A-18C Hornet under VFA-82 Marauders, the A-10C II under the 107th FS “Red Devils”, and the F-16CM under the 480th FS "Warhawks". JSFG is a “Quality Over Quantity” group of highly proficient sim pilots, most of whom are pilots in the real world as well. We focus on realistic procedures, but we do not consider ourselves “milsim” - we have too much of a sense of humor to take ourselves that seriously. VFA-82 "Marauders" operates the DCS F/A-18C module. We are a multirole squadron performing air-to-air, air-to-ground, strike, SEAD, etc., basically everything the Hornet is meant to do. We train for large scale operations with an emphasis on realistic procedures and tactics. 107th FS "Red Devils" operates the DCS A-10C II module. This group is built off the framework of success from VFA-82 in terms of qualification and training. In this squadron, you will learn to utilize this highly effective CAS platform to its fullest extent. 480th FS "Warhawks" operates the DCS F-16CM module. As the latest group to be kickstarted within JSFG, we are opening recruitment to establish a fully operational squadron that utilizes the Viper to its full combat effectiveness. We have a dedicated server with the capability of running multiple scenarios, with new ones each week thanks to in-house mission production. We run SRS on our server for in-flight voice communication. Official flight times are Sundays at 2000 & 2100 EST (alternating), with unofficial flights and training exercises throughout the week. Correspondence and planning are usually conducted via our Discord server. For those who are interested in enrolling with JSFG, there is an expectation that an applicant already has a familiar understanding of basic flight operations such as: Navigation, Systems and Cockpit familiarity, Aircraft handling, Air to Air refueling, etc. The recruitment process consists of a probationary period where applicants are introduced to our Readiness Level program which will allow them to build confidence in their airframe, and attain proficiency in our procedures. The RL program serves to us as a Check Ride, and will give us the ability to evaluate and correct the applicant on any of the procedures we have implemented. Once an applicant has become sufficiently acclimated to the environment and all parties involved have determined the applicant is a good fit, full membership will be granted. A good attitude and a team mindset are required. Age 18+ required. We encourage all who are interested to join us on our Discord server. https://discord.gg/R3UuVPN

  10. Hi all: I have experienced constant crash on each time around 5 mins of game play.(if you see my record it has been for several month already.) The DCS world program just hang then back to Windows 10. It could happen at any moment, during the fight, landing, parking, or just flying. I have a complete brand new Windows 10 installation, brand new DCS installation(with customized airplane skins only). I have turned off the weather, I have run DCS world as administrator, I have switched to default skin, I have installed all c++ runtime I can find(2005~). I even already renewed my CPU motherboard and SSD as the latest one. Please see the log for my current equipment detail, in short I am using AMD R7 5600, 32G DDR4, M2 512G SSD(DCS world is in drive C along with widnows), RTX2070 + 8G graphic memory windows 10 thrustmaster T16000M. Highly appreciate for your help. Kindly point out for me if there is answer already I have tried but can't find.
  11. >>Preface<< "This mission has been edited to have the possibility of using three different and most commonly used modules on the same Syria map: F-18C, F-16C and A-10 II". >>Briefing<< We are in the theater of war of the Sirya, it is of fundamental importance to hit some strategic objectives through a "Strike and CAS" mission. If we decide to fly an F-18C or a Viper, we will have the exact same objectives, namely an enemy Command and Control Center and a SCUD missile post inside a military base south-east of Aleppo. Group A-10 II will have a different target, CAS mission northeast of the Aleppo position. The objective is to hit an enemy heavy gun emplacement with the help of the JTAC. During the mission, however, information that may be useful for the success of the mission will be displayed. In flight there will also be other packages managed by the AI, so pay attention to any type of information while browsing. This is a simple Strike and CAS missions for all aircraft listed. Each flight package has its WPs available until the target is reached. It starts from Incirlik airport, runway 23 authorized with exit on WP 02 Gate Venus. Once at WP 03, indicated as AAR Minesota, a refueling with the available Tanker must be carried out before arriving on the target area. The mission is accomplished the moment you receive the notification that the targets have been hit. I recommend that you follow all the procedures, as well as being an operational mission, it can also be useful for training. Attention to Taftanaz Area, area is restricted due to the possible presence of enemy surface-to-air missile positions. Download file.miz and please leave a comment if you liked the mission. Thanks
  12. Hey there, I'm writing this post, as I thought some newer users may appreciate it, or a sort of PSA if you will. The learning curve involved with DCS, as well as learning your aircraft of choice is a massive task to undertake. As much as it is inspiring to watch a DCS YouTuber effortlessly dogfight your favourite plane or dodging SAMs, it is also quite daunting learning how to get to that same point of skill. Perhaps you've found yourself mixing your training between haphazardly referring to the manuals, scouring forums, and YouTube videos. You're getting to the point in which you've played most of the instant action scenarios and some of the free missions, and feel like you need to take it further; and the option of multiplayer seems more attractive. However, unlike dogfighting against computers, you're operating alongside(or perhaps against) humans, which can feel like a quantum shift. You may be considering online squadrons, but nervous about your skill level in relation to theirs. Believe me when I say this, the vast majority of squadrons love to have more people share in their hobby, and take great pride in training people up. The great advantage of multiplayer, and by extension online squadrons, is the added value of learning, community, and most importantly immersion. When I first considered multiplayer, I was quite apprehensive, but once I joined I never looked back, and my flight simulation hobby is vastly enriched because of it. Learning: This can be a sticking point for newer people, since they feel that they aren't adequately experienced, or not good enough for an online group. This may be counter-intuitive, but in some scenarios, being less knowledgeable and joining a squadron to learn can be better. Ultimately while you're in single player, you don't know what you don't know, whereas when you train with other people, they can immediately identify what you need to learn, or what's not going right. Most DCS modules are extremely complex, and frankly the learning process for all of us never ends; we're all just at different points in that journey. As a newer user, you will massively benefit yourself to join a squadron as they can tailor your training requirements. Additionally, many instructors enjoy teaching, and it further enriches their hobby. The core note here is that you won't be burdening anyone from whatever experience level you're starting from, and most instructors love to teach anyway. Community: This may seem marginally obvious, but actually having people to share in your hobby is great. Flight simulation, let alone the DCS community is quite niche, it's not like you can easily have fellow hobbyists down the road. Instead communities are globalised over the internet as we're all spread few and far in between. Thanks to platforms like Discord, the value of community within a flying group is far greater in which you can jump in and talk to your fellow squadron mates seamlessly. Since I've been part of DCAF, I have made some great friends, and I enjoy being able to share my hobby with likeminded people. Immersion: At the end of the day, the value of flying with other humans rather than AI can't be understated. Whether flying with a human RIO or operating as a flight(or both!), the immersion offered is unparalleled. I'm still always impressed when I'm part of a flight of four in parade formation, as we all collectively work together. Or when you all go into a mission, splash some bandits and return to the carrier, the sense of achievement at the end of it is exceptional, because you all had to work together and thoroughly plan what you were going to do, and reaped the rewards of it. I often find going back to single player scenarios feel rigid and too 'sterile' now, since the only human component is yourself. Like what I was saying over learning and community, flying as part of a group fundamentally enriches the hobby. If you're still unsure, feel free to contact myself either here (or Discord), as well as some newer members who fly with me. This can be a good opportunity to scope out what it's like to join a flying group. We're all part of DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force): Me: Panny#2973 Vak(halfway through training on the F-14): Aisxos#8894 Deivid(also in training on the F-14): Deivid#3419 Brody(recently finished training and is a line pilot): brodyzach#1944 You can also visit our Discord should you wish: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M Otherwise, if you're interested in my group, I fly with DCAF(Digital Coalition Air Force) as an F-14 instructor, and would love to help more guys out. We also have F-16 Fighting Falcon, F/A-18C Hornet and AV-8B squadrons, who will be delighted to take on more people. You can read about us here: And here: https://dcafoc.wixsite.com/home Or jump onto our Discord!: https://discord.gg/RrzuvXXd9M I hope for those entering on their journey with DCS, this post can at least alleviate a few concerns about the online paradigm. Cheers, Peter
  13. Hi. On the mission night life the ins alignment is interrupted by other jets taking of on the runway while the viper is parked on the parking lot. The jet is actually moved a little as well. This seems excessive. I have experienced this on other missions in multi-player as well. According to other players the wheel chucks don't help preventing this, but I haven't tested it.

Combining what you have learned in a simulated combat mission to show proficiency as a wingman on 132nd events. After IQT and MQT then pilots will move on to various topics in Continuation Training to gain additional proficiency. During all phases there is a heavy emphasis on self-qualification lessons, so new pilots will need to be able, diciplined and motivated to conduct training on their own to make sure to progress in accordance with the training program. About us: The 132nd are a mature group of laidback guys with a strong passion for military aviation. The 132nd was first established in 2013, so we have been around for a while. We are in the EURO zone and for timings and connection issues, we are primarly interested in pilots in this region. We conduct training events wednesdays at 1900Z (2000 CET) and sundays at the same time we conduct either a combat event, or normal or advanced training. We mostly fly PvE, but are often combining that with human aggressors flying Red Air to augment the AI. We also conduct a range of combined events with various organizations here in DCS to add the immersion for our combat and training events by bringing other virtual squadrons in to fly at the same time. Before applying: Before you consider applying, check that the following description fits you: - You know how to fly and operate the F-16C, including aerial refueling. - You are able to attend events wednesdays and sundays at 1800Z / 2000 CET. - You enjoy "slow paced" gameplay, where focus is on learning and becoming proficient in the aircraft to get the most out of this simulator, rather than fast paced kills on a PvP server. - You enjoy immersive and realistic missions. - You own the PG map. If this sounds interesting, please apply on the 132nd Virtual Wing website: http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/recruiting If you have any questions, please post it here in this thread, or send me a PM.
  15. Black Tails is an European, semi-serious, Virtual Fighter Squadron. Our main plane is F-16C, but we also fly other planes in support and aggressor roles. We have been using DCS since it's creation and currently fly on Thursdays and as-available basis. We organize medium sized, PVP/PVE dynamic campaigns on a weekly basis, which are set up and organised by our competent mission makers. How we play Our community is based on semi-serious fun and we fly to have a good time. We base our tactics and procedures on various public documents, use fighter pilot lingo and fly in an organized manner. BUT! We believe that too much realism can negatively impact the DCS experience and therefore we do not aim to replicate military life or implement certain tactics or procedures, that serve no use in a flight simulation other than waste time. There are no ranks or addressing people as »Sir«. We're here to have a good time. Want to join? We welcome all players, veterans and rookies alike, our members are happy to help and teach new pilots. Only real requirement we have is that you are nice to fellow squadron mates, own F-16C Viper and the Syria map. We invite anyone who's interested or has any questions to contact us on our Discord or at our Home page.

  17. Buonasera a tutti. Grazie anticipate, e starsi bene tutti. J.
  18. Hi to all, I'm Jack from Verona, Italy. This is my first post on this forum. These are the links to my fictional liveries for F-16C Viper. The liveries are adapted to F-16C in the best way that I can. They're the replicas to the original RF/F-104G based in Verona-Villafranca LIPX during the cold war. Hope that you enjoy! [UPDATE] New 1991 Gulf War Desert Storm/Op.Locusta!!! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/it/files/3313156/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/it/files/3313427/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/it/files/3314527/
  19. As the title says, I wonder if we are going to get Sniper XR TGP for the Viper. As far as I know it's been planned but lately on some FB group I read that it's been removed from the roadmap. Irl f-16s block 50 started getting their Sniper pods in 2007 and ED says that that's exactly the era that they're aiming for with this module. Does anybody have any info on this matter or is it still a mystery?
  20. A new mission is available on the users files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315288/ Iran and China have entered an alliance of mutual support which has bolstered Iran's influence in the Persian Gulf. As a result tensions between this alliance and the US and Europe escalated to the point of war. This mission is set early in the conflict and involves providing CAP for ground attack flights. Fly a F-16C 4 ship armed for air to air into Iran and prevent red fighters from interfering with blue strike groups. Red forces are randomized as are some blue forces for replayability. DCS version 2.5.6 (stable) Please report any issue or bugs to my by PM, thanks.
  21. So sorry to do this to y'all. I have googled it, I have watched the vids. I went through Chuck's guides. HARMS on station. ME mission I created, flying toward a Fan Song site. I start in HSD (right MFD). Power on pylons left/right (for some reason not on in air start ME). Hit AG mode from ICP, make sure Master ARM is on. Wanting to go HARM HAS mode. I end up at SMS page, no HARMS listed. nada. If I go into inventory, they are there, but I cannot select them from the OSB's relevant to them. WPN page shows OFF. I cannot turn them on. I have removed all weapons from all stations except the two HARMS to try and trouble shoot. I know it is something simple, but I have literally spent 3 hours on this collectively. I even watched WAGs video on HARM in HAS. Appreciate any help, no matter how dumb I will feel afterwards.
  22. Hi, Started playing DCS in VR some weeks ago and I'm having a blast. Bought the F-16 immediately and started the learning courses designed for it. However, I'm having issues with my controls when flying missions as they only allow me to use the F-16C_50_easy controls / version of the jet. I rather enjoy the more complex and detailed controls of the F-16C Sim version. This leads to my question; is it possible to have the full simulator controls for a mission flight, or is gameplay in mission mode limited to a simplified set of rules (/controls)? I guess the same question applies to multiplayer when I eventually embark on that adventure. Appreciate all feedback!
  23. Ciao a tutti! In mancanza del Tornado su DCS Vi lascio il link per la livrea che ho adattato su F16C prendendo spunto da quella dei Tornado nell'Operazione Locusta durante la Guerra del Golfo. Fatemi sapere che ne pensate! Grazie!! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/it/files/3314527/
