  1. Yeah, but don't you think it's fair? If you consider the 7G limitation? ^^This! The F-35 maneuverability does not need to be the best, it just need to be good enough in case of a dogfight, which IMO already is.
  2. Yeah I know, these are very good statistics if you consider the 7G limitation.
  3. This is what pilots said when comparing the F-35 against 4th gen fighters: http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2016/08/operational-assessment-of-the-f-35a-argues-for-full-program-procurement-and-concurrent-development-process
  4. Thank you for sharing, Nick!:) Here you can also read many F-14 tales: http://www.f-14association.com/f-14-tomcat/tales/
  5. I don't remember where I saw it, but FlightGlobal mentions a multi-mode seeker. https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/details-emerge-about-lockheeds-cuda-missile-382670/
  6. I know the Tomcat has a better turn rate, but dogfight is not just turning rate. :) But yeah, you're right, it is not a good example, but you got the point, don't you?
  7. It depends, the F-35A is limited to 7Gs till like 2018, so it might affected the dogfight reports. Agreed, however, does it means that the F-35 can't dogfight? Dogfight is very relative IMHO, as a quick example, I can easily find videos of Tomcats "killing" Hornets or Migs during simulated dogfights, but does it mean the Tomcat is a better dogfighter? Hell no, it just means the Tomcat can win, I believe same applies to the F-35.
  8. People keep saying the F-35 can't dogfight, but no one can prove it, no has any -1 chart. IMHO, the strongest point of the F-35, is data-fusion. You everything happening around you, I really like this concept. Plus, the F-35 has the BARRACUDA EW suite, it allows the F-35 to use its jammer not only for self-defense, but also to attack.
  9. So the F-35 will be able to carry the AIM-9X internally in the future blocks?
  10. The F-35 cannot carry the AIM-9X internally, so that's why Raytheon/Lockheed Martim is creating the CUDA missile. The CUDA project is meant to replace the AIM-9, it would have medium range, radar guided and IR guided for terminal flight. The CUDA has half of the AMRAAM size, it would allow the F-35 to have 12 CUDAs missiles internally. https://theaviationist.com/2012/11/30/cuda/
  11. Yeah, AFAIK the F-35A block 4/5 will be able to carry 6 AMRAAMs internally. The block 4/5 will implement many things, such as a defensive laser system, AGM-88E, JSM etc.
  12. Indeed, it's possible that the Su-32 (very early Su-34 prototype) had a rear radar, but IMHO it is very unlikely. I mean, all I see is articles talking about it, but I have never seen any picture of any rear cone radar. It might be one of those lies that are so repeated, that become true, if you know what mean.
  13. No, neither the Su-34 or Su-35 have a rear radar, this is a mith. Su-35: http://www.cavok.com.br/blog/imagens-conheca-a-linha-de-montagem-do-caca-russo-sukhoi-su-35s/ Su-34: http://www.cavok.com.br/blog/argelia-estaria-interessada-no-sukhoi-su-34/ It's in portuguese, but there you can see how the rear cone really is. All the rear cone has is the APU and drag-chute.
  14. Well, I wasn't really expecting the Hornet to come out this year, so I'm not upset about it. Regarding 2.5, I thought it would come out late this year, I was looking forward to a better HDR, light effects etc, but as it seems it was "delayed", I'm disappointed, angry? Yes, a bit. But complain will not help ED to release it this year. I perfectly understand ED, they always want to give us the best and soon as possible, if we have to wait more 6 months, so be it."perfection takes time." :) But as we need to understand ED side, ED has to understand the community side, that's why I would like any clarification from ED. Regards.
  15. Oh, that looks so awesome! Can't wait for it, 28/11 is also my birthday! Haha :)
  16. Woah, thanks for all your hard work KIZIR! :) Late night I'll test it and hopefully post some screenshots. Thanks again, I mean, obrigado! ;-)
  17. Thanks Zeus, good work! :) Any news about the D2M?
