  1. So anybody has an idea why the game is playable with my HTC Vive with pixel density at 1.0 (though most graphical settings at low), and unplayable because of a lot of stuttering and lag with my Oculus Quest 2 even with pixel density at 0.5? And so what can I do to make it playable with my quest 2? Thanks
  2. I guess you do not have your graphical settings anymore when you had your 970? But what headset did you have when you had your 970?
  3. The settings you talked about was in VR? I have setup everything on low except terrain texture and cockpit texture, pixel density to 0.6 and this is very laggy ^^ And I can't imagine going back to a 2D screen. I prefer not flying at all. Or if I do not manage to have the quest 2 running smooth with DCS I'll go back to my vive until I can have a better graphic card. What I don't unerstand is it wasn't that laggy at first, it became laggy later on, and stays laggy even when I was back to the original airfield...
  4. This could also be to be able to watch movies in 3D, or movies on a giant screen But to do that better have a headset with a good resolution. I dropped the idea with my old HTC Vive, resolution is not good enough, but with my new Quest 2 this is something I plan to do...
  5. Hi, I need advice about the quest 2 with an old graphic card. I have a good computer but with just a GTX 970 video card. Before I used an HTC Vive. Of course in DCS to have a smooth experience I had to lower the graphics to the minimum. My goal is to buy one of the new graphic cards, either AMD or NVIDIA, but they are not available, so I am waiting. Now, I bought a Quest 2. As with this headset I thought I could use it as a standalone headset while I wait to have a new graphic card. And so yesterday I wanted to try it in DCS. Of course with the same settings than the Vive, DCS was unplayable. Laggy as hell. Normal because the resolution is a lot higher. But then I wanted to try it anyway so I lowered the pixel density in DCS to 0.6. It seemed then smooth enough. I played then a multiplayer DCS helicopter mission, everything was fine at start when I was near the airfield, but as soon as I went near more complex terrain it started to be laggy as hell as well. BUT it was also laggy then when I wan above the sea, and even when I was back to original airfield. Why? I mean, it was smooth when I left the airfield, why did it start to be laggy again when I came back to same airfield? Any way to have it playable with the Quest 2? I do not mind lowering graphics as low as I can while waiting for the new graphic card, I just want it to be playable. I would like to avoid having to take back my HTC Vive just for DCS. Moreover the graphics on the quest 2 were worse at 0.6 pixel density than with the Vive at 1.0, but strangely enough they were more readable. Like the ADF numbers. I was unable to read them with the Vive, but they were readable with the Quest 2. Any help appreciated ^^ Thanks
  6. I managed to have it work yesterday thanks. I have added DCS into oculus software library for ease of use launching it. btw is there a way to manually launch Oculus link? I mean, when I connect my headset to the computer it asks me if I want to allow access of files. On internet I read I should tell "no" to that but seems if I do that it does not even ask to launch Oculus link. Then it asks if I want to launch Oculus link. But it happened to me a few times I answered "no" by mistake there. And then, any way to launch again oculus link beside unplugging and plugging the headset again? Thanks
  7. Hi, Maybe this thread should change to plain "Oculus", so we can add topics about the oculus quest too? I need help using my quest 2 with DCS. I have a non steam version of DCS, and I seem unable to have it work. I always end up with a big screen and DCS in this big screen, not in VR at all. So, how should I configure that to have it work with my quest 2 ? Also I would like to be able to have it work with virtual desktop as well in my quest 2. Other steamVR games work just fine, just that I'm unable to figure out how to configure non steam DCS to work with the quest 2. Thanks
  8. I guess I'll try this with joystick gremlin instead as I do not use a thrustmaster product, I have a pro flight trainer puma. Though, exactly what do you want the script to do? Like when throttle goes to zero, then apply a page down several times? And then how to mimic the opposite? If for instance the throttle goes to 10% from below 10%, then apply page up a few times? Thanks
  9. Except that you can't roll the throttle to the max with a stick you have to use the keyboard with page up, right? The collective stick is disabled until you unlock it...
  10. Hi, I have a pro flight trainer and to startup the Huey I have to use my mouse to move the power from idle to standby. I cannot use the power on my collective. Or I have to click on the button then page up. There is no way to do like in the real huey, click on the button then rotate my power handle? Thanks
  11. Hi, When we are flying VFR in VR, with a map showing headings and distance, the main issue in VR is that we do not have a watch. In real flights we use a watch to check when we are going to reach the good place. In VR hard to do. Do you know if there exists a mod, or a tool, that could display a watch in VR, or even better, a timer? Or even the best, a tool that could calculate the ETA of the next waypoint according speed and distance we will put in? Thanks
  12. Hi, This device emulates mouse isn't it? Or is it separate from mouse? For instance if I move the mouse does it conflict with pointctrl? That would be great to have it emulate a vr controller as well. I have a vive, clicking on the left of the headset fires up the steamvr interface that allows me to launch desktop view for instance which can be handy to do something on the desktop without removing my headset... BUT I need to fire up my steamvr controller to be able to click on anything inside this VR interface. Not very convenient... would be amazing to be able to do that with pointctrl... Thanks
  13. If you click on "start" in the "massage" panel on the screenshot you provided, do you have vibrations? To check if this is an issue between simshaker and dcs, or just simshaker, maybe with the jetseat. Try with just USB connected, unplug the jack wires. Also with the jack unplugged, do vibration work inside the jetseat control panel? And don't forget when you want to try simshaker that the jetseat control panel must be closed...
  14. What you're describing seems to be the jetseat not working in USB. In the jetseat control panel, did you try the "test motors" feature to check if your seat is working well in USB mode? Also with my version (the forcefeel) I can switch from USB to sound audio with the driver, the control panel. Also have you setup simshaker to use USB and not sound device (in service tab) ?
  15. Not very important. Does it worrk in the sim? I always fly with the generic setting for my aircraft, I mean everything at 50%, and it works well. Though btw anybody is flying the UH1 helicopter with simshaker and has recommended settings I could try to improve it?
  16. The same for me. If I use autostart when it opens I get a microsoft .net exception. Do not get that if I manually start it...
  17. Hi, Not related especially to vaicom, but to voice attack as a whole. Do you setup voice attack so it listens only when you hold a joystick button ? Or as soon as you speak ? On videos seems people setup that just by speaking, but isnt it an issue when for instance you're talking to someone (like in multiplayer for instance) and suddenly voice attack recon a sentence and fire up the Keys ? Thanks
  18. Where is the option in 2.1.3? Can't find it. Nevermind I found. Right clicking on the traybar icon then "open settings" Though I still have the same issue, each time I open the settings the checkbox is unchecked... Edit: so the start at windows boot works, even if the checkbox remains unchecked. Odd :) Thanks
  19. The new version beta 2.1.2 does not even have the option. Though I was unable to have it work even for older versions. The option was there but did nothing.
  20. So, my first bug. For whatever reason, I cannot check the "start with windows" checkbox. Also a feedback, that would be great if checking the close (X) button top right will send the app to the traybar instead of closing it. Thanks
  21. Yo have to tick the checkbox from within the app to automatically starts with windows. It just starts the SSA launcher. Then SSA will launch when DCS is started. But yes you need the SSA launcher to be started first.
  22. So installer was downloaded and installed without any issue. Just a windows security warning but hey I can trust you isn't it? :) Massage and motor testing of my forcefeel from inside the app works fine. Now I'll have to try in DCS. Will give you feedback.
  23. Link does not work? When I click on it I get a onedrive error saying it can't find the file. I would be happy to test it. Oh and btw should I use the generic helicopter setting for all helicopters? Or are there profiles somewhere for some helicopters in DCS?
  24. In steam there is an option to have your computer desktop on screen. Of course with my old HTC Vive the resolution is not good enough to use it often. So you can do that, with dedicated apps to watch videos, like windscreen for instance, or whirlwind, or just by showing your computer desktop to watch youtube. Just wonder why you want to do that. To not disturb your wife with the light of your screen? Don't forget to turn off your screen then. But yes this is doable.
  25. Hi, Is there an easy way to disable all bindings but the keyboard ones ? I have a lot of sticks on my computer and each time I try a new plane I have to do it one by one. For instance I have a warthog stick and also an helicopter cyclic so i dont want the cyclic to interfere with the stick when I fly planes. Thanks
