Really that small map for rof flying circus? Unbelievable :) Sure with the speed of those planes it could take time to cross the map, but... Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Hey this is amazing. This is like the red bull air race, especially we do that in other planes as the ones used in the red bull air race are not available, and in other places as we do not have those places :) I have been in tthe red bull air race in cannes, and this was amazing. I'm not a good enough pilot to compete, but I'll surely download the tracks to have fun, practice, and to crash a lot ^^ So thanks for all this ^^ I wonder, can we download example tracks to practice? Also, in Cannes I found it interesting to see there was a manoeuver you have to do, like an himmelman, at the end of a turn you had to climb, roll, then come down again and go through the start / finish pylons. Is there a track there where you have to do this? Or those are just pure slalom? I have seen in the san diego race that you have to climb and turn but seems this is not a return like in Cannes red bull air race. Look at the start here:

When I was young there were a lot of military flight sims. Seems now there are not that many. Seems people lack the time needed to play that :) A bit like role playing games. When I was young they were really hardcore. Now they are more designed for the casual gamer. Of course nowadays flight sims are better than they were in the past. But there are a lot less. And they miss features like the dynamic campaigns we had. I never played falcon 4. Did it have a dynamic campaign? Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Hi, Interesting module, will have to take a look. Though your notepad stuff and accept result means if we play in VR we have to remove headset between two missions, right? :) Thanks Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Hi, Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no such thing as a really dynamic campaign in DCS isn't it? Missions are kinda independant. And those are missions, with a start and an end. Years ago, but really years ago, I played a game called euro fighter or something like that which featured a dynamic campaign system. Means there was a war, with dynamic generated missions, and an output depending of your results. You could have intercept missions, bombing ones, and so on. If for instance there was a mission where enemy bombers are going to attack one of your airfield and you fail intercepting them, then the airfield couldn't be used anymore until it is repaired, this kind of thing. A lot of dynamic generated missions on a dynamic campaign, some missions took by the Ai, some by you. With a dynamic map of what is happening. Would be great to have such a feature in DCS. Especially as in DCS I have all the available maps, but except if I create my own missions there is no available missions on other maps beside the free caucasus one... Thanks. Hi, Now that we have modern era planes, world war 2 ones, and a WWII map, something interesting as well would be to get world war I planes, like the sopwith camel or the fokker. This was the era of great aces. Funny though what we know mostly German ones, like the red baron. Or the famous himmelman who gives his name to a famous aerial maneuver current pilots still use. The era of planes without great instruments and a focus of close dogfighting. Planes easy to understand but hard to master, with slow speed and a focus of good flying skills. The kind of plane who can land and take-off from about anywhere. No need for a runway of some sort. And no need for another map for that, the Normandy 1944 one will work. The only flight sim I know of for this era is rise of flight. Though it is a bit old now and it does not support VR, so it is a no go for me. That would be great to have such planes in DCS, so we could say DCS will handle all era planes. Thanks... Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Yes I know but if I create this resolution in nvidia control panel I got a black screen because my monitor does not support this resolution. Or maybe I missed something in the video.

Bigger objects in the distance option gone?
harf4ng replied to harf4ng's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Thanks will try that. But I am surprised about what you said that it did that the previous official object enlargement. I remember trying a mission with the sabre and with this option on I saw a bigger enemy plane. Not a dot above the enemy plane. Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk -

Labels? But I don't really like playing with labels, this is a bit unrealistic no? :) Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk -
Hi, Any tip to record (not broadcast) in full HD instead of 4K? What kind of settings I should put in OBS and maybe in my nvidia control panel? I have just ta GTX 970, and no 4K screen, therefore I cannot put a 4K resolution in nvidia control panel. I have tried a few stuff but the record is blurry... as in low resolution. note that the resolution is not good in a VR headset that is normal, but according to your videos you manage to have a crisp 4K picture while still flying in VR... so is there a way to have a good quality full HD video with OBS and VR? Thanks

Don't understand what the problem is with those vive touch controllers. I launch DCS World with the mouse, without turning the vive controllers on, and so the hands never appear... as I never turn them on... Also, unsure even in VR how vive controllers would be easier to use than the mouse. I just grab the mouse when I neet to click somewhere in the cockpit, using the vive controllers to aim at somewhere and click seems counter intuitive and harder to do to me...

Please bring back model visibility options
harf4ng replied to lanmancz's topic in DCS Core Wish List
As a real life pilot I should say this is not always true... I remember at times the tower saying there is a plane somewhere and we had difficulties spotting it :) But indeed as a VR user I want this option back. Hard to spot anything far away in VR. Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk -
As a VR user indeed this is hard to spot an enemy. And using labels to see where they are break immersion, which VR is all about :) Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Oh too bad. This was useful for VR users... Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk -
Hi, Previously I had an option to have objects in the distance like planes or the like bigger. This helped me especially as I fly in VR so I have a lower resolution and world details. But can't find this option anymore in 2.5. Can someone explain me where this option is? Or is this option gone? Thanks Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

What is the minigun version that special? I only own the Huey as helicopter. Should I get the gazelle? :) And I fly in VR of course...

My issue was the game got a loading screen just when he talked, so was unable to read the text and didn't get all what he said :) Thanks for the infos... Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Hi, I have started the UN campaign. I have crashed a few because of engine fire before understanding that I have to checked the engine temperature so it stays in the green part. Means, I guess, I should be careful to not have too much collective. Means as well that I have to be careful not to go too fast. Then I didn't understand where to land to finish the mission. After checking the starting map I understood that I went on the wrong runways, the good ones are farther away. But hey the voice-over didn't give me detailed enough instructions... I think I'll try again this evening to finish the mission. Now my questions is... At times the guy in my helicopter told me I'm not going fast enough, or that I didn't fly smooth enough. Are those really voice-over about my bad flying skills? Or does he always say that? This mission is very long and require a lot of flying :) maybe with an autopilot that would be less stressful... Thanks Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

Unsure force feedback is that useful nowadays BTW. I don't know of any recent good force feedback sticks. All force feedback sticks are years old. Seems for flying manufacturers drop force feedback. For racing though all good wheels are force feedback. We even have force feedback pedals. With just vibration though, not real force feedback. Though if you take high end sticks for flight sims, none are force feedback... Oh yes I know of a force feedback device for flight sims, though it is a yoke and it costs a lot of money... Unsure it would be really useful. Note that I never flew into a spitfire. I'm a pilot student on small planes like Robin DR 400. And on those small planes I never felt any force feedback on the rudder pedals. To me force feedback would be more useful on a full size stick than on rudders. We feel more forced on the stick than on the rudder. Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

This is unbelievable, knowing how difficult an helicopter is, in comparison with a plane... Good that the huey is not the most difficult one to fly. Envoyé de mon SM-G955F en utilisant Tapatalk

The Huey is not a fast one :) I can go faster in my Robin DR400 :) I had this issue with the first UN mission, when trying to climb at 3/4k, the engine caught fire and I crashed...

Oh ok thanks I thought those was new training missions. Indeed not a lot of interesting training in DCS... though this is worst in xplane, as in XP there is training just for planes, not helicopters :)

I'll try to map all this to my cyclic and throttle (I have a komodo EC135 cyclic and a warthog throttle) as I fly in VR so cannot see the keyboard :) Thanks
