Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Tj1376 replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Hmmm- I had three different people tell me Mozdox and MV had plenty of fuel and one of them had just spawned in a m2k. Do the fuel bases not refuel the airports? Or will this always be a "milk run?" No worries either way, I just need to know what to do next time (PS: this would be great info in a new BF FAQ doc!) TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You could probably go back to just a viggen or two at each air base with this design. Without being able to get exact coordinates and fly practice approaches offline this platform will be mostly useless. This isn't a complaint, I love the Viggen but without a lot of practice you aren't going to get anyone who can capably deploy the bk90 and it's big boom to do anything worth while. Love the idea with the Mustang! I will join Lemoen on some fuel hauls! TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

FYI - I cant spawn the SU27 out of Mozdok despite the PAK3 intel report indicating plenty of fuel, I continue to get the message' Mozdok airbase in Pak3 has no fuel left. :( TJ -

Its not a matter if my feelings were hurt... Its the matter that this thread is over how to improve BlueFlag, not how to express your personal feelings towards another. Keep it on point. TJ -

This is an interesting point... Would you see less m2ks if the data link of the su27 was enabled? TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You CLEARLY need to spend more time in GCI. I'd recommend doing this on a 2nd PC while you are dogfighting. You will see how useless it is. It's one of the reasons why you don't see this rampant bad behavior across all the multiplayer servers. It just ain't that good! You honestly get a better idea of what the enemy is up to by looking at what slots are occupied by them. That is something the real military doesn't have... maybe we should try to hide that feature? And leave the negative attacks at the door. This was to have an honest conversation about how to improve, not how to personally attack another player. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I would be amazed if in the real world pilots went into a mission in today's military without exact coordinates and aerial or drone footage of their targets. Doing this via the mission editor is much the same. What's wrong with someone using two slots? If we had working data links or awacs (something today's military has too) we'd get the same picture. So what if someone has an extra PC laying around? You do realize about how useless the Gci slot is, right? TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9 You guys realize that you get a copy of the mission stored on your pc every time you launch the server? It's pretty easy to open it and build your own maps with coordinates for the Viggen (and probably even QFE since youd have weather variables too! I've been too busy at work to play lately, so Ive been living these new updates through this thread. I can't wait to get a few hours and try out the new map! TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Dang. I thought Wags or ED had created that video. I was hoping they were showcasing a new F15E. I guess that is not the case. It IS an awesome video though. I too have watched it many times! TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was it awesome? I flew around for an hour or two in the p51 and mi8. All I could really think was how a very nimble small helo would be awesome on this map. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the map key, you might flip the percent alive around. Put it before the text so you can compare one base to the other. Right now with alive percent after the text, you can't easily compare percent alive easily. I hope that makes sense. Let me know if it doesn't. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

FPS comparision: DCS 2.0.5 vs. 2.1.0 over Vegas (1080 Ti)

Wags just posted that turning msaa off in DCS and enabling it through your graphics card may help. Try it and see what happens! TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Terrible VR stuttering in 1.5 with 1080 Ti and Oculus Rift
Tj1376 replied to Boris's topic in Virtual Reality
You only see it in DCS as its one of the very few games that relies heavily on single core throughput. Using your CPU "percentage used" number as reported on in any of the windows monitoring tools is about as effective as a smoke detector. It works, it will give you an idea, but true pros use fire detectors. Stop relying on these numbers you see. I see you are an engineer and I understand the intense desire to focus on the numbers, but you aren't measuring the right thing when you look at CPU usage. This game is single thread CPU bound. You have a hell of a pc with massive single thread performance. If the game dips in frame rates it's because the software isn't adequately using the CPU, which you are seeing in low CPU load percentages and feeling in poor performance in VR. Go read Jabbers thread on 2.1 Normandy. Then watch his videos of it. This problem will get better in the merge where 2.1 makes better use of the CPU. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

We also typically have a long flight in. You can start spotting targets at 25ish miles out and then have all of them marked by the time you can fire. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
