Why not try an i3? It's single threaded performance is on par with the Devils Canyon CPU. And it's dirt cheap. I've been really tempted to see if it can perform in DCS. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

How the hell do you recommend we fly air superiority missions with our radar off? You have to see the enemy to deter them. Also,, what does having my radar on (or off) have to do with the crap RWR providing zero SA in the su27? Aborted- this is pretty easy to understand man. You are purposely being a donkeys behind for what point I don't understand. Maybe had we not neutered the M2k at the same time we gave the su27 a unique feature you might have had a more challenging experience while you were in the SU. But- since the M2k is still neutered it will be interesting if people go back to it now that DL is off. Let's drop this argument for the time being and see if the changes to the M2k help even it out or if we do need to experiment with limiting DL. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I have the BEST solution to this problem. Let's put the f15 on Redfor so red can have the same RWR as blue. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The i3 passmark scores make me want to get one. Water cooled. To see if it can beat the 4790k. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VR Performance investigation. My Ryzen CPU doesn't hold up in DCS and I don't use it to play . Probably very similar to your 2700k. Amd isn't known for single threaded performance. But it's a beast at rendering (or anything that can rely on a ton of cores.) Your performance with NTTR is as I expected. DCS 2.1 is a step in the right direction but it still relies on the single threaded performance. Upgrade to something that knocks out the single threaded performance numbers. Good luck. Check passmark for your single threaded CPU performance. You'll find that old 2700k is about 25% slower than current tech. Your CPU simply can't feed that 1080 in DCS, which relies heavily on single thread performance to send stuff to the GPU. Modern games offload most to the GPU, which is why you probably see great performance in GTA or insert whatever new game you might play here. Unfortunately the engine in DCS is many years old and can't do what new games do today. You may see better performance in NTTR, but I really doubt that a whole lot. 2.1 does a better job of relying on the GPU but it's still a single threaded CPU king. Time to upgrade... Ah! That's why red could steam roll the south. We lost all of our man pads! ;) It was significantly better on 6/26 @ 130a UTC (when red steam rolled the south) I hope it wasn't because of all the units. I really love the new dynamic! TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The Viggen is a precision strike package and very useful. Several of us have become very effective in helping a strike package with this airframe. The problem with the viggen is you need three or four of them to be effective as the BK90 still isn't there yet in Multiplayer (it's just a big bomb.) I agree that the overall numbers of pilots don't matter. I've actually said this before several times. What really matters is the average number of active minutes a player plays divided by total time in server. This would give you a "batting average" of each side and show you where the most active players play. You could also develop this stat by airframe to help improve the lives system and make it more dynamic to limit airquake. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I think blue needs all the help they can get. The regulars play red... and I just watched RVE and AXE steam roll four air bases in the south in less than two hours. It was pretty impressive if you like 11 v 2 odds. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It's not the price to be paid. Lives are the price to be paid. Modify how lives and fuel work and you will stop airquake. We don't need to punish all players. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I played for almost six hours today (slow day at work.) once we had 55 people online and only two mirages. I actually think we swayed it too far. I just wanted equal fuel. Not sure needing ins and removal of missile launch warning was necessary... TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9 It's going to be hard to enforce. Especially when the bug is with ED. The easiest way to enforce is to remove it and use the lives system to prevent AirQuake and HeloQuake. Stop hurting all players because a few airquake. I disagree about your comment on DL, especially since so many red players report it doesn't work. Upon investigation it just turns out they haven't put up the EWRs to make it work. TJ Edit: no comment on the lack of m2k airframes? Sure seems to me that people have stopped using them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

CAS kept attacking without helo support. Then we'd get a helo but the farp would respawn. A10s would descend but that gave red time to HeloQuake and setup new kubs (or repair them.) Then we'd send a su25t in but by then CAP made it down and got some of the helos. Then blue did what it does best. Let's send three Limas to the farp. Wait a second... the Limas don't carry troops.... It was epic fail after fail today. TJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

No- you've been seeing a Mirage and Red fest lately, which we've tried to course correct on. Id wager a gamble thats due to the full fuel the Mirage started with. Now that its been removed, I've seen way less M2Ks on the server... I have seen quite a few more SU27s though. Some of that will be due to DL (which may or may not be working, I cant tell, Im blue.) but some of it is also because it takes just 3 or four minutes for the SU27 to get off the ground. TJ -

Let me prove how it doesnt work... This video was taken about 10 mins ago on the BlueFlag server. It took me 1 minute and 47 seconds to refuel the F15 to get it fully fueled (the three bags will feed the mains completely full after takeoff.) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5QkME6xDKWQSmVLaWo2WnBiM2M To compare, it takes the SU27 seven minutes to refuel without cheating about lets say at best 4 minutes with the cheat? Moltar could you take a video of it? Im blue so no luck for me. TJ -

Tj1376 replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Where did I say that? I said establish CAP- while CAP is in the air you have to send someone in quickly to destroy the fuel bunkers to prevent their CAP from counter attacking. This is much more realistic than what you have now.... The old way was : establish air superiority - then send in CAS - then send in helos. Now you have to coordinate your strike packages much more realistically. This is a win if you are after more realistic game play. It takes 120 seconds to start the repair, then it takes another 120 seconds or something to finish the repair. Its much closer to the F15 with 20% fuel and three bags scenario than you care to admit.
