  3. I recall reading almost a year ago that the texture template would be released. I can't find the official one on the ED website. Does anyone know where I can find it? I am trying to make custom buttons for Roccat Power Grid that match the ones in the cockpit.
  4. Is there any way I can download your configurator? I saw that you discontinued the project, I don't know why it wasn't popular.

  6. There are many planes that are faster down low and and slower at altitude than other planes. airframe drag, wing shape and engine design/tuning among other things influence this. The B-1B will outrun most fighters on the deck but are about half as fast as the same fighters at altitude. I wouldn't rely on wikipedias numbers, especially since they aren't even the same conditions/configuration/fuel state.
  7. Would anyone be able to send me a link (google drive/dropbox?) to the current Razbam M2000 manual? I am away from my DCS computer for the weekend and would like to do some learning about the A/G and NAV systems. I already have a link for Chuck's guide, but would like the Razbam manual as well. Thanks!
  8. Having the same issue on the warthog (occurred on both Mirage and F15C).

    prf radar modes

No, read it more carefully and keep in mind that max detection range is below the high prf range determination drop off. At least in the F-15 (numbers may vary with mirage, but general usage criteria is the same), high prf is optimal for detecting targets heading towards you, medium prf is optimal for targets heading away from you or flanking. Additionally, high prf has a longer detection range and will start picking up targets around 50-60nm away, whereas medium prf will start picking up targets around 25-30nm. Thus, it's generally best to start out in high prf if you expect your enemies to be over 30nm away when you turn your radar on and then switch to medium prf once you've closed distance with your enemies to within 30nm. If you're hanging out in the mountains at bullseye on the 104th server for example, you would be in medium prf because you expect there to be a few enemies within 0-20nm of you and there is a great possibility that they're not flying head on. Also, I am not sure about the exact pattern and frequency switching for the mirage's interleaved mode, but in general it's better not to use it as it's a compromise between the two modes, possibly reducing overall detection range, or increasing the time it takes to scan the same section of sky in both high and medium prf. One final thing, I don't have the manual handy, but I think your lock and fire capabilities may be different in different prf modes, so you should take that into consideration as well. Someone feel free to chime in if I am wrong/missing anything here.
  10. I have the same issue. I'll type a reply and when I go to post it will ask me to sign in and my reply will be gone if I didn't have it copied before I hit post.
  11. It's $2000 for the initial release, not $3000...it's almost like you're not even reading the posts :( Again, I said I GUARANTEE it.
  12. If you read the post you quoted it is apparent that nobody gets anything until $2000 is donated, even if they paid. It will get to $2000 in the first week. People need to stop wondering what will happen if the threshold isn't reached, it will be reached, I GUARANTEE it.
  13. How do I get the RSVP address? I want to go!
  14. The mirage is definitely still in Beta, but what makes you so sure that the flight model will be permanently inaccurate? There are plenty of former and current Mirage pilots out there to help them fine tune it, and there are lots of flight and performance data out there despite your assertion.
  15. It's not great, but not as bad as you describe. Posting tracks would be helpful. Missiles going stupid right off the rail could be that you're firing in TWS mode. Best strategy depends on altitude, aspect, closure rate etc, but you want to fire between RTR and RMIN (the middle and lower missile range hash marks on the right of your HUD when you have a lock). I generally fire below 10-12 miles head on, below 3-4 miles if they are running.

  20. I called and they gave me prices on a few items I was interested in. The stick/throttle combos I asked about were between 3,000 and 10,000 USD. They said that depending on their gov't sales and consumer demand, they would be able to produce in quantities that would put the price range somewhat lower than it currently is. There are definitely people out there that would pay 2-3x the Warthog price for something that's significantly better, but I agree 10,000 USD is probably not reasonable for a standard stick/throttle.
  21. I called Bugeye and he said the regular Desktop F-18E was around $10,000. They are exploring getting in to the consumer market, but the entry price for the low cost lines still will be several times the cost of a warthog.
