Your center point is off (https://gyazo.com/2488968d91f29621796f40d84e82b54f) that cross needs to be where your head will be. an example of how it should look is here (https://gyazo.com/2641bf82ad42903d91dcee459ab9f542) Notice that if i now go into (View, Cockpit View) It will spawn my head at that origin point (https://gyazo.com/6b7eb9ca323852f143f91558f647ba10). You can change your center point by going back into 3DS max, moving your model up until the origin point is just infront of the headrest where the eyes would normally be.

  4. I'm not getting it as bad as you but definitely noticing it compared to things like the A-10 etc. Its just down to early access i think.

    I can get it all set up and in engine for you but I don't have the time to create the entire external 3D model and texture it for you. If you can get me a 3D model and there is reliable data on the Flight physics of the aircraft then i can get it into engine for you within a day. give me 2-3 and i could chuck in the animations as well.

  9. The community A4E is what i have learnt a lot of the systems based code from, though I don't have a lot of time I look to get at least the 'basics' video done for within 3-4 days *thanks to gos for everything A-4E he has been a great help on discord and in general*

I guess I can start getting setup to make a video about how to mod DCS containing everything you will need from programs to plugins etc. Then I will create some more videos on importing and exporting etc animations and lua
  11. There isn't an EDM exporter for blender only for 3DS max. But i was going to teach people to import into max because it can actually be quite arduous sometimes (errors etc). And i'm not too sure you know what im asking in general. What I mean is I would be willing to make a video series covering all of this if people would be interested.

Well, it would be more based around jets (not a huge fan of props personally but i might be able to help with some stuff) not ships but I have personally imported ships and a challenger 2 tank with animations. But this will definitely be included under (basic importing and adding ai) By mod i mean creating a 3D model, animating and texturing it (texturing will be done off camera as it will take a long time) adding a SFM and an SSM (so you can use anims) basic lua functions and calls. Then adding a cockpit and how to implement it correctly etc. and that would be it. nothing hugely advanced - think the basic modding guide (the pdf) but in video format with some different newer techniques. This is what i was going to base it off but with newer techniques (also including blender importing.) Can confirm testing the SR-71 SFM is a huge kick in the balls for the thrust and lift.
  13. Considering doing it because I had a lot of trouble at the start of making mods and if I had something like this it would have probably been a far more fluid experience for me. If so, would anyone here be willing to contribute information to something you're good at? Be it animation, coding and or sound design etc (I'm no pro at any of these but i can do them by myself if needs be.) If I had to imagine what it would be like think of the Basic guide to DCS modding but in a video series and updated techniques. I would also include some stuff on importing and exporting from blender as I know a lot of people - including myself i might add, are far more used to the fluid key based structure of blender.
  14. I think on some servers there would be a reason, because missiles and fuel are limited at certain bases. Of course no one would probably do it to be team players but it would be immersive.

  16. Yea if i ever finish it to a point im happy with giving it away then I'll chuck a DL link up. There is a few already out there from 0.01-0.06 i think. Mostly on the Discord i moderator for (I use them as tester guinea pigs) As for how close the 3D model is %70 imo. Just needs to be polished. The interior cockpit needs to be fully animated so far only the gear handle and canopy works. RIO pit is modeled just not textured (You can snapview into the back seat which i find fun) As for dates im a busy person med school and a job over the summer so i dont havetoo much time so i think it would be rude to even give a date haha.

  18. Custom cockpit :p. The interior is mostly modeled it was all unwrapped but i had to redo some minor stuff. I can send a screenshot later. Take note, all the issues in this have been fixed. Most notably the FM and the cockpit position so it looks like its in the actual jet now and not at the center of mass. oh and i fixed trackIR now so i don't have to use the numpad haha.   21. It isn't at the moment but if i manage to finish it ill just chuck it on drive or something and let people use it.
  22. She can finally do mach 3 :P but at mach 3.6 the FM fails which is supposed to happen but she loves accelerating.
