As Holton181 suggested, I found it on the kneeboard. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

I ran it from the ME and it all worked except I didn't hear 7 & 8. I followed your startup sequence in your list, but it didn't play 9 until I turned the Inverter on.

Wow, Awesome!! Downloading now! Thanks for your work!!!

Why does 'Create Fast Mission' spawn Airborne with NO Weapons???
Snacko replied to Snacko's topic in General Bugs
Add the Huey to the list of "Don't use Create Fast Mission". It loads no weapons either. -
Thanks. I'll check that out. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Also, I couldn't get the Weapon Status panel to appear. Not at my pc now. Is there a command to show/hide it? Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Rog, thanks. My problem was the 2.75 setting. I got the guns to fire and then the rockets. I also got the mouse cursor working in the copilot seat. But I don't understand why it is disabled when you switch seats. Thanks guys!!

Haven't flown the Huey in a while. I flying the Beta. I get no Mouse Cursor when I jump to the co-pilot seat. How do you turn the knob and click the switch on the Flexible gunsight??? And in the Pilot's seat, the guns won't fire.. I turn Arm on. Set the Armament swtich up to 2.75. Both guns are selected. I also have the Pilot Gunsight down and the reticle is on. But when I pull the trigger, or even press the Space key, nothing happens. The guns don't fire. I don't even see the red cyclic trigger move when I press the Space bar. So, I cleared the keyboard assignment and reset it again with the Space key. No joy!!:cry::cry:

I found the instructions for each of those changes on the VKB forums. But if you PM me, I'll be glad to get on TS and talk you through them. -
Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
Snacko replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I don't know why mine are different. I didn't customize anything except the ones in green. After flashing the last bios, I just customized those few buttons/axis. Why would mine be different? -
THAT was probably part of my problem. I was trying to set the time around dusk, so I could test the NVG while it was somewhat dark, but also look in the Exterior view to see if he was wearing them or not. I tried several missions and started over a few times, changing the TOD. That is a key piece of info I think that should be documented somewhere. Didn't see that in the pocket guide, Chuck's guide, or any google searches. Thanks!!

Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
Snacko replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
My MCG Customizations Just thought I'd share how I customized my MCG Pro. You may like it different, but here's how to set the axis & buttons that I made. One note, is on the brake lever button. Before the new firmware 94_b it worked correctly. But now when you assign a button number, it reports one number lower. I wanted it to report button number 34, so I had to set it to button 35 to make it do that. Also, I wanted to use the top/center Master Hat as my TDC, so I made the axis an Abs to auto-recenter so I could assign it to the TDC Horizontal/Vertical Axis in some DCS Aircraft (AV8B, F-18, A10c, ...) I highlighted my customizations in Green. -
That's too bad Moltar! I flashed mine with that bios 3 weeks ago with no problems. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Click "No" to discard and continue unsaved - still saves!
Snacko replied to Snacko's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
And when I exit the mission, my changes are still there as if it saved it. But it didn't save it to file? Ok, I never noticed that.. So, when it says "discard and continue", you're saying it doesn't discard your changes? It plays with your changes? I'm a bit confused.. -
I'm using the Beta, but don't see any forum for posting Beta problems. So, please move this post if it's in the wrong place. I made a change to a mission and clicked Fly. I clicked the No button. Which says "Press 'No' to discard and continue unsaved" The problem is, that it saves my changes! Even though I clicked NO.

In my mission, I checked the checkbox to load the goggles in the stowage box. See here in this pic. In your mission you do not check that checkbox? And the NVG start on your head. How do you set that up in the Mission Editor?
-
@Ramsay - Are you using the Beta or Stock? I'll try that mission, thanks. UPDATE: Hey! That mission worked exactly as you said. Just started the mission and pressed LShift+N and the goggles turned on green circle. Strange that last night I clearly had them on and down over my eyes in the External view, but not in the Cockpit view. I still don't understand that. I also had a key mapped for those keypresses on my x55 and I think I had something wrong in there too. So, I pressed the LCTRL+LSHIFT+N (Switch the Helmet Visor for NVG), and it took off the NVG and put on the visor. Then I pressed LShift+N again, and the visor goes down. Press again it goes back up. So, I loaded the mission I was testing with last night. I had added the NVG to the mission by checking that checkbox on the Flight's options tab (Home). So, it already has the NVG on the aircraft, like your mission does. But in my mission, I don't start off wearing the goggles, I have to put them on with that LCTRL+LSHIFT+N command to swap the visor for the nvg. Then they worked as in your mission. Is there some other option in the Mission Editor to have you start with them on your helmet, and not in the stowage box?
-
I built a mission with the NVG already loaded. I checked the box in the mission flight options to load it. You can see the NVG on my head in the pic. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Yes, and I will try the stock game when I have a chance. It seems to me with this other command, that they may plan on this procedure: - Ask ground crew to load nvg into stowage(4 minutes). - Mount nvg on your head in the up position (4 minutes?) (LShift+LCtrl+N) - Toggle goggles up and visor down (LShift+N) but who knows... They haven't updated this in almost 2 months.
-
I did that several times, just as you said and it didn't work. Then I saw the command in the game called 'Switch the Helmet Visor for NVG'. So, I tried it. It also gives me the 4 minute message. But you are correct, as Chuck's guide doesn't say that. I just did a game repair, and removed all of my mods. And then, I just tried it once again exactly as you said, and I can see the goggles are on my head and down, but when I jump into the cockpit view.. nothng.. Just a normal view. PS: I should say that I am using the Beta.
-
Maybe I have a bug in my game. I have the ground crew load the nvg. I press LCTRL+LSHIFT+N (Switch the Helmet Visor for NVG). And that takes 4 minutes.. Then I get the message that the NVG are loaded on my helmet. Then I press LSHIFT+N (Helmet Visor/NVB Toggle). I assume that pulls them over my eyes and turns them on? But I get that message again "Loading NVG will take 4 minutes." I never get that ground, green cockpit view that I see in Chucks guide. Am I doing everything correctly? No other switches I need to set? I'm going to do a repair and try once again...

LShift +N? I pressed that and I think it said it was switching to NVG. But what should I see when it works. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

If I'm sitting Hot in the parking area, how can I tell if I have the NVG working? I expected everything to be green? I adjust the NVG Brightness and don't see any changes. I don't see everything green or gray. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk
