i have no idea what you are saying, but it would be nice if you could spawn at the parking space and than taxi to the CAT...like on a real carrier. Unless the USA has invented teleportation :)

that would mean that everyone would have to have the same settings. Drawdistance, texture resolution...hell even screensize. hopefully ED has the wisdom to tackle this issue in a smart way. just preventing the ability to change the setting on the fly might be a start. But the balance issue remains, AI can hide and shoot out of the woods. This discussion was born on a server where you can spawn and drive vehicles around and capture stuff with vehicles... .i leave it to everyone imagination what happend, but some people like to hide vehicle and other want/need to destroy them

well i disagree :) for me it is very very important to have stable high FPS. more important than some trees

everything below 60 is unacceptable for me. i prefer stable fps, and i am perfectly happy to sacrifice visuals to achieve that. what i am not happy with is if its forced on me what i can do and what not

everything as low as it gets execpt: Textures MED (cant be low because then the HUD of the AV8 is empty....) ViewDist MED MSAA 4x Trees 20% no shadows of course AF 16x also no Def.Shader

-1 wish we had the rep system back.. making people to give up precious FPS is a bad idea and will force them away from MP alltogether. (and bevor someone says "it does not cost any fps, i say, maybe on your PC....") have you ever considert that the problem is people hiding thier Ground units in Woods...? or that AI drives into and shoots out of woods? maybe we should adress this issues first , because i consider hiding units that can shoot throu trees cheating and even worse, they then cry on forums when thier cheating behavior does not work....

an alternative would be more than one awacs on a different Frequency so you can switch

because posting in that case might de-rail a thread from its original direction, or blow it up in size. which is imho counterproductive. or just tell someone how awesome his mod is, without filling his Thread with posts when others might want to scroll throu it for updates / help

so you would prefer if we post in an actual thread (according to rules OF COURSE!), de-railing it and further provoke other comments instead of just repping stuff like "dude read the manual page 100". or if i just want to agree with a statement i now have to reply in the thread, and just a "i agree" isnt any helpfull to the rest of the people who read the thread. just because you think the worst does not mean everybody does it. Just allow reporting reps like Messages. or remove the +/- and just bring back the ability for a short comment on a post. Why dont you guys think of a less abusive way to comment on a post instead of removing it.

its not only the points, you could send someone a quick short message why his post was stupid or good without resorting to a proper MSG, that might get lost if the inbox is full

i tested it with the Av8s pod and found no difference at al vs an as8 or sa11. but thejn again i was looking more at locking speed than range
