id like to add we really need a bvr>iff interrogate in target heavy or radio call heavy enviroments Jester doesnt always say the friendly warning., if not make an option to either not be able to fire on friendlies or B have an option where jester repeats 'its a friendly!' over and over. but seriously, just a iff interrogate would work and be appropriate correct engine gauges. I think if you guys had done that youd have gotten a lot more 'wow!' from people as itd change how the cockpit looks... jester and lgbs.. nuff said. this is crippling in MP. the forrestal and A6.. I really really wish that phoenix time to impact would flash when the phoenix is pitbull like IRL. thats all off top of my head...

I havent tested but now that its brought up, the last few flights every Aim 7 missed, and most shots were in PRIME conditions (rear aspect, closing or same speed, 5-10 miles) I will say as far as fire extinguishers - I havent seen them put out a fire yet. Of course, that doesnt mean they arent working, just an observation. I totally disagree with the last post before this claiming the f14 is garbage now, i can still effectively fight in the A. indeed im sorta glad to know theres a slight bug because I thought my BFM had gotten really bad... Hello, As of now, the yaw string blends in very well with the plane. Perhaps, this is just an idea, and low priority, but perhaps HB could consider making the yaw string say, yellow like the caution panel's shade of yellow? This would stand out much more and make it easier to use. Of course, if theres a strong strong crosswind its easy to see anyways as its flapping sideways, but othertimes it seems Im actaully putting more energy into focussing on the string than flying. LOL just an idea

On 104th it worked. no idea why problems elsewhere. I havent had a chance to do it from RIO seat but I see no reason why... it wouldnt work otherwise. Very strange. I Do need a volunteer (ANYONE?! 5 min to test on 104th!) but otherwise Id say theres no radio bug. The other thing with lantirn, was Rio error, when I got airborne i was able to figure out what the swedish fellow was doing wrong... (over reliance on point track, I find it needs hi contrast, I always use area track to stabilize the cursor and aim) thanks for your replies (ADD JESTER IFF INTERROGATE!!! PLS!!! LOL)

Ok wadman, and youre entitled to your perspective. Let me put it this way - why would HB - open a thread about reactions to the new module? Why has heatblur ( and i can prove it ) asked the community more than once what we would like? I say its QUITE IMPORTANT to mention these things. You have to keep in mind that even during combat ops, you never know what ordnance you are gonna expand. So you have to plan your loadout such that you are still below maximum trap weight with all your stores still on AND enough reserve fuel (at least 2000lbs for daytraps, 3000lbs at night). Give it a rest/get some perspective on that item as your "complaint" is unfounded and shows a lack of appreciation for these extras (that they didn't even need to provide). Jester IFFS on command? how? If youre talking about the audio cue, no, he doesnt always. Ive flown the f14 ALOT in game, and in hectic scenarios, when youre STTing several different targets to try to hear him say 'you locked a buddy!' or not, he DOES NOT, repeat, DOES NOT, always say it. I strongly think if theres a lot going on the sound file gets overlapped and not heard or something. theres still a need for it, as also it should then be changed on the TID repeater or radar as a bogey. The TTI blinkings a thing? I havent seen it. do you always type as one big sentence? it makes it hard to adress several issues. TTI is in, you misunderstand. If you STT a group of targets he eventually will miss one, if theres missiles and stuff anywhere he may not say it either . I learned this the hard way in dozens of DCE campaign hours

Oh so ADF is tied to the RIO radio?? I never knew that! I never had any real need to learn ADF and VOR in the F14... so I ignored them (i know the shame the shame)

yeah I figured that out from the recent posts. It just seemed to me that the guns modelled, and the damage they inflict, if its available to ww2 planes, korea is sooo close .... I figured itd be the same. a mig 15 or f86 or me262 is probably closer to a ww2 plane than it is a f14 or whatever. its moot though - it only applies to ww2 planes period. unfortunately Ive seen tests done and yes the hitbox thing is true. I wish I HADNT seen the tests, done extensively on ground units which made it clear theyre very much HP based. as far as holding my breath... Ive been around way too long for that nonsense. I mean, jesus, they announced the AH1 and F4 phantom what, 5 years ago? never happening. multicrew? took years for some helos, never for others. its made me very wary of my purchases, I regret 1 map, and especially regret also a couple of airframes (helos)

Hi, So I still need a human pilot. I did go on 104th, and can confirm that the radio *does* work there. However, I still want to verify that in a multicrew situation that it works. But I definitely was able to contact carrier atc and a tanker by using jester and manual freq. input. But I still cant shake suspicions about whether theres an issue with multicrew. I dont know why there would be versus non, but then again I havent ever had these problems except in multicrew..

ya I knew it was only for topgun. I figured it was for the reasons you cited - i mean, they dont want the engagements to end right off. They want dogfights to teach the skills needed. Though of course, no kills are real, so one sorta wonders why. OTOH Im sure in a prearranged merge to have a dogfight everyone has a prime chance at a face shot, and sidewinders are fire and forget, so itd just be easy kills for all. I understand the reasoning. Also theres the culture... people arent actually dying so sportsmanship comes into play. its probably seen as a little 'cheap' to do that instead of chasing em down and taking em from behind. hmm part of the problem was i conflated V and P in my head. LOL I do wish theyd do something about rocket blast damage. I mean LOL theyre a russian company! russians are known to love using rockets in war! Su25 pilots preferred loadout irl - ROCKETS mi24 cold war tactics? LOTS OF ROCKETS apparently it works too. i just would prefer the D because it was more heavily in service when the USSR was around, and also because itd force ED (well perhaps actually) focus on multicrew more. Im very nervous about multicrew, theyve already flip flopped a little on the issue. if an AI jesterski is 100% confirmed with release ( and not dreaded 'later in EA') than id be happy with a P just as much

Ive read in top gun that face shots wouldnt be creditted as a kill however? for whatever reason only shots after the merge? course this may have been at the dawn or before all aspect sidewinders and a reflection of a poor pK
