last I heard was permanently on hold which is a bizarre term. why wouldnt u say cancelled? i think maybe translation went bad. I remember the announcement. I think part of the problem was around 2015 Razbam was the premier ED subcontractor. like HB or Dekkka is now IMO. Then... Razbam announced they were doing like 12-15 diff planes. it was nuts. I seriously remember them saying f4, ah1, mig25, all this stuff. even then I was like 'this will never happen' but I really thought the f4 would come. =(

well my grandfather was deck crew on it. if you look at the link youll see a pic of her with her crew spelling LEYTE in the front, and youll see my grandpas DD214 equivalent with 2 clusters for the korean war service medal and yes that incident with the first black aviator, my grandfather was on board. he told me the story once, I was fairly young and didnt get the significance.

I can just start entering it before 17 though of course right? hey did you see my hot trigger post in the bugs section? youre one of the most knowledgable ppl I see around. there arent a lot of dedicated RIOs but Im almost certain ive found a bug... thats sorta major in that sometimes the RIO gets no hot trigger and the radar seems to simply not work. Id say 'user error' but I saw this with a pilot I prolly flew 50-80 hrs with, and had shot down dozens of planes and bombed LGB otherwise dozens of targets. hooking targets for phoenixes is ridiculously easy. yet sometimes.. it wouldnt work and Id end up screaming flip the acm and just pitbull them! sometimes shooting a missile broke the bug, other times it didnt go away until the next load up of game or sortie. Its never over and over, nor there seems to be no rhyme or reason. I have tracks, and another forum member witnessed it with me on hoggit last night as the pilot, he couldnt even loose a sidewinder (which i had neveer seen before) I could see from the backseat armament was on, a2a mode was on, etc. I also saw he PLM'd a target which did lock. it makes no sense..

I could see that if it was just last night, but in the squadron I just resigned from (AG51) i had a pilot that I flew probably 50-80 hours with. on training servers and otherwise. the weapons were definitely allowed as theyd work sometimes. And once in a great blue they wouldnt, but he could fire. A couple times *After* he fired, it suddenly started working. Ive only ever encountered this in MP (obviously) but I have the witness to yesterdays incident, and I have tracks from the other missions, Im pretty sure one of those tracks *At least one* has an incident like that on it. its very very odd, And with people in the front and back very used to the tomcat. I could even look over the seat and see he had it armed, in a2a mode... Again, like I said, very odd. yesterday Im willing to allow the possibiility it was a server glitch, as he couldnt even fire a sidewinder and you can shoot those at anything lock or not. and it was close to the server reset. the other times though, it happened more than once, and in another group of people i flew with this spring very occasionally part of the problem is theres so few dedicated RIOs. has anyone else seen this? if not can someone from HB reach out because theres definitely something going on here. If I had dozens of kills with phoenixes and sparrrows with the same pilot, in all sorts of different engagements and types of enemies, than I obviously know at least how to hook and launch missiles. Point being... usually on my end Im sure its a user problem (i.;e. idiot problem) this... isnt. and thank you for posting at all, I hate feeling like im being ignored.

bump again. A forum member I can summon in here ( plus it was last night almost certain I got the track) we had this issue. basically - no hot trigger. the radar wouldnt let me truly hook targets. Itd let me get info on a target, but it wouldnt give hot trigger. yes I made sure he was armed in a2a and had phoenixes. I tried STT and pd stt. nothing. He got a plm lock. he said he couldnt even fire sidewinders! this was on the hoggit server yesterday

ok. I never have probs at sea. at ground its endless i hit own a/c and often stored alignment shows up,. if I leave it alone though (also noting no long and lat is there) it stops at 17 during alignment if i try to put in the stuff it seems to mess it up. whats the deal, do I always on the ground automatically input owwn a/c long and lat right as I start alignment? can ground based f14s have stored alignments?

https://imgur.com/gallery/TT2qlsn i posted these before this was 1995 on the enterprise at sea during a dependents day my dad was a usaf lt col and the nato usaf liason at norfolk. he finagled flag passes so i got to see the sonic boom and take pics from the island the old carrier was my grandfathers off korea. and the rlly old paper is my great grandpas ww1 discharge paper. you can see 2 wounds and he fought in every major american battle as a private. he died later from being gassed during the war at 25. but he got us in america.

that statement depressed the fck out of me. I expect at least a jester level of multicrew 2 years after f14s release. I also reaaally will be mad if they neglect mp multicrew, im of the opinion that if the military expects 2 really highly trained men to be needed to perform the misssion of the jet or airframe truly sucesfully, than its ridiculous to make a game expecting the player to do EVERYTHING. at this level of detail we have at ED, without jester and he still has a lot of flaws, flying the f14 without and needing to jump seats would be miserable, and everyone would mostly suck. im very concerned if they try to make the mi24 multicrew very simple and chose it to do this (i read the claim itll be bettter than jester, but your theory would go otherwise)

I never heard the A was rejected. not calling you a liar but you have a source I can read about this on?

well was. the F4 isnt being done. I was happy with an E. my father was a wso in Ds. Naval down the road woulda been nice and thats why I wish HB would do it. as it is Id seriously wager money with someone that there will not be an F4 in DCS thats flyable.. ever, unless its a mod. They 'announced the module' almost 5 years ago now! Same with the Ah1J indeed about 3-4 years ago I think part of the problem was Razbam named like 15 projects all at once they were going to do. it was exciting but even then was like 'how are they.. ' none happened

Ill add if theyre gonna add 'zone 6' to the A i.e. allowing players to use the infamous circuit breaker trick, i think its really silly to not allow pylon removal. I guarantee pylon removal happened more than incidents of pilots breaking all the rules and doing a 'zone 6' by overriding some circuits other small wishes fix the oxygen thingy in the B real pilots are saying is off ***** Fix the throttle gauge. Please. Its INSANELY noticeable once you see what a b models looked like*** the original looks like an old school gauge from the 40s or 50s. the B gauge looks like a casio watch numbers etc.

bump can i get anyone with similar experiences - or ppl wondering wtf Im talking about? the mp misssions some were 3+ hours long but I got A LOT of them saved and Im willing to trawl to find examples of the hot trigger not working for the back seat, also some weird stuff with the radar when this hot trigger issue would happen the radar would refuse to 'hook' and Id switch modes everything to no avail yes I asked the pilot if he was in a2a mode, yes I hit the button for phoenix launch info near the scope, yes he was armed.. we are pretty experienced. if noones noticed this.. its happened more than a few times AND happened to me last summer with another squad that I didnt fit in with and left after a couple weeks

nope no file path im prolly gonna need miguel or p80s help theyre the ONLY PEOPLE who ever got this working for me. it took them 5 min. I have no idea how to fix myself. I wanted to do the ww2 campaaign and the maker tried helping but stoped responding after 1 post the first time p80 i gave remote access. had it working in 2 min. miguel helped a lot too. but idk if they got tired of me or just havent seen my posts. but I usually flew tomcat over PG (iran) and REALLY wanted to be able to finally fly the A in that. Then the F14 PG and Cauc. camps. I also had the flanker caucauses with JF17s substituted in. I didnt do it, miguel did for me. It worked awesome and look Id be happy with just ONE working now, because NONE do.
