For many of us, Christmas begins on the evening of December 24. And again, an eventful year is soon coming to an end. DCS has given helicopter pilots, in particular, a lot of joy with new models like the CHINOOK, more details at ground level, and a flyable Apache. It will probably be 2028 before we have explored all the new maps in the helicopter at low altitudes. In 2025, many new modules and maps will surprise and keep us entertained. ***I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I checked the mission several times, and now I can be 99%sure everything is okay with the mission. If you finally land at the right spot and get the message "mission accomplished," it should count as 100 points. The problem is also discussed in the Feedback Thread and happens also to other campaigns. In Stormfront, luckily, it only occurs in that mission. It seems to be a DCS problem, and it is reported to ED.

Relating to my campaign, you are the second reporting that problem. I know ED is working on that problem, because other campaigns have the problem more often. -
YOUR FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT

@razer668 I have no clue. One thing is for sure: at the end of the mission, you need 100 Points. This is similar in both campaigns, where "Zeichennen" appears when you only get 50. By the way. "Zeichnen" is in German and means "drawing". For me, it looks like ED is working on something, and they made a mistake. Are you able to skip the mission? -
I believe you are in the wrong channel. You mean the Campaign in Syria. Flying Cyking - ED Forums (dcs.world) Have fun.

Not getting next mission
CHPL replied to Myztkl-Kev's topic in DCS: UH-1H Worlds Apart Stormfront Campaign
@Myztkl-Kev This is the cargo Transport mission. It is sometimes strange in DCS because you only report that problem. It seems not to be a general problem. But you are right; there are three more missions. This does not mean you did anything wrong; it could be one of these DCS mysteries nobody can explain. -
Not getting next mission
CHPL replied to Myztkl-Kev's topic in DCS: UH-1H Worlds Apart Stormfront Campaign
@Myztkl-Kev We had a holiday, so I am late with the replay. Missions 2,3 and 5 consist of two parts: (A and B). In Total, you will see 12 missions in your campaign progress at the end. Regarding the start of single missions, even the skipped ones, press play again. -
MISSION 5b / TIPS AND ISSUES
CHPL replied to CHPL's topic in DCS: UH-1H Worlds Apart Stormfront Campaign
@Myztkl-Kev When clearing the mission, you must refly everything or skip missions. Another way is to start the missions out of the mission editor. The campaign is in the DCS World/ Mods/campaigns folder. -
Thanks. I will check the score. The rule is pretty simple: 50 Points at the beginning and 50 at the end after landing at the designated landing spot. Unfortunately, my PC was broken for a couple of days, but it is fine now.

MISSION 5b / TIPS AND ISSUES
CHPL replied to CHPL's topic in DCS: UH-1H Worlds Apart Stormfront Campaign
It has been internally fixed for weeks, but there has been no DCS update in September. ED has delayed the planned DCS update for the 18 for at least two weeks. Unfortunately, we have no say and nothing to influence regarding DCS updates; we need patience. -

You are right;" fast and low" would be correct. But your airspeed and altitude passing over the bunker and the building on the hill have no negative effect on the trigger. It's good to hear that you made it. -
The mission is nerve-racking because the helicopter IFR is the worst you can do. The reason I didn't get 100 points at the end is related to the airport landing. I need some more information on how it works for you, beginning at the landing in Krimsk. Did you get taxi advice? Did you get the information on the mission accomplished after landing on the ramp in front of the Groundpersonal?

MISSION 3 / TIPS AND ISSUES
CHPL replied to razer668's topic in DCS: UH-1H Worlds Apart Stormfront Campaign
@razer668 Unfortunately, it took a while, but I found the error after searching. A FLAG was accidentally used twice. Furthermore, the units' reaction to wind has changed. As a result, the first target was moved out of the trigger zone, which led to completely illogical behavior. I can't say which update this has changed with, but such a net positive adjustment can lead to unexpected and difficult-to-find problems in previously created missions. The first objective is also leisurely to find due to a graphical error. I have also changed this and wish everyone good tactics and a successful search after the update in September. -
UPCOMING UH-1 CAMPAIGN / STORM FRONT by Low Level Heaven
CHPL replied to CHPL's topic in Community News
@jetsimace Thank you very much for your feedback. When it comes to different choppers and theaters, there is good and bad news. Let's start with the bad, but they are not that bad at all. Worlds Apart is, in a kind, like Lord of the Ring, a storyline that spreads over at least three campaigns and tells the story of the UH-1 crew. So Part three, "STEEL RAIN," will not change that. The good news is that I need a different challenge and another few so the next campaign will be a Mi-8 campaign on the Syria map. This is already in the works. I don't currently have enough understanding of the systems to fulfill my expectations in a Simulator campaign to build a campaign for the newer DCS models. Many others are building good campaigns for players who are seeking just fun and a good time. My goal is to create a situation that feels as realistic as possible, but this requires a deep understanding of the aircraft, procedures, and tasks. This takes some time. -
MISSION 3 / TIPS AND ISSUES

TIPS ISSUES No problems are currently known. Aucun problème n'est actuellement connu. Aktuell sind keine Probleme bekannt. -
@Yess Thank you for the information. Concerning mission 4 The thickness of the smoke marker is a real problem, but if you approach into the wind, and stay to the right, you have a clear approach path. Just ensure you land in front of Wolf 1 at his one or two a clock position. If nothing happens just move forward and closer the street. The next DCS Update is expected around September 18. From my side, there will be a new version of the mission. Moving the smoke to the side and some static objects reduces the possibility of a landing outside the trigger zone.
-
@Yess Mission 5.1 also works well, although I don't use VR. I would, therefore, like your help. I have extended the visibility in the fog by about 1000 feet. Does that solve the problem? The upper fog limit should not be changed. Unfortunately, the behavior of the water on the windscreen has generally deteriorated. Even at 80 knots, drops can still be seen, and visibility is very cloudy. Of course, this also contributes to poor orientation. Smoke markers also become an insurmountable wall in this mission. Therefore, I will place them differently in the first LZ Sierra Oskar. Some radio messages that overlap or have completely disappeared will also be adjusted.
-
@Yess I have the first results from testing Mission 4 Everything works as it should for me here, but the smoke marker on the LZ turned into a smoke screen. I assume this is why you landed next to WOLF 1 instead of between Wolf 1 and the smoke marker, as requested. As a result, you landed outside the trigger zone. This is relatively narrow so that your Gunner doesn't appear anywhere but near the LZ. Landing further away, even to the right of the smoke signal, will activate the trigger. I will make some changes at this point to avoid this situation in the future.
