  1. Awesome, thanks guys. delevero, I'll have a look at that one tonight. Cheers Dronin, not to keen to switch between the modes, would rather just a single layout. Feel better Chrisxtr3m3. Looking forward to seeing the profile when it's polished off.
  2. Following. Would really love to not have to do this myself as I suck at getting it right.
  3. We haven't yet seen a true 2nd gen headset. You sort of can't go wrong with an oculus or wait for 2nd gen. I got the oculus cv1 at release and I'll buy the next gen whenever that drops.
  4. As if there was any doubt before the video but TAKE MY MONEY
  5. Well that just blew my mind. If gloves start working within the DCS cockpit. . .. Looks like I'll be forking out for a pair.
  6. Looks sick. I recommend though putting a plate on the RHS for a mouse.
  7. Anyone else having a heap of 'Sensor disconnected' problems? . .. . . I have this problem :( https://forums.oculus.com/community/discussion/41673/every-few-seconds-we-cant-find-your-sensor-please-connect-your-sensor
  8. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169393 DIY!
  9. How do I see the fps? I can check it this weekend.
  10. I haven't thrown any decent amount of time into a flight sim since I was about 10 playing A-10 Cuba, however since I got to play with a friends DK2 a couple of years ago, I've been plotting my return. When I was able to place my pre order for the CV1 the stop watch started and with estimated delivery dates the deadline was also roughed in. So now complete here is what I've put together. PC Corsair Carbide Clear 600C Inverse ATX Full Tower Case, Window, No PSU ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger Motherboard Intel Core i7 6700K Corsair H100i v2 CPU Cooler ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 OC, 8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum CMD32GX4M4A2400C14 32GB(4x8GB) 2400MHz DDR4 Samsung 950 PRO 512GB SSD Seasonic Snow Silent 1050W Power Supply Win10 Pro 64b I went for the Saitek x-55 HOTAS and Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. Mainly because I saw value for money. I might swap later but for now as I'm learning it's more than fine. I wanted somewhere specific to play my flight sims so started looking at premade cockpits. . .. . After finding out they were expensive as and very hard to manipulate into exactly what I wanted I fired up the welding torch. The base I'd build from would be the DXRacer FE08 Series PC Office/Gaming Chair Black & White. Comfy and bucket enough to feel strapped in. Here is what the pit ended up looking like. So with the computer and pit built the CV1 arrived and last night got my first ever crack into the DCS world. First impression: Holy Sh!t! Thats not exactly true as throughout the night my first second third and every impression of every flight I had was that. After many months of waiting and buying individual components it all came together. .. was it expensive all up?? Well yea... . . Is it worth it? Definitely! I can't really think of anything else to say except if you haven't tried ANY flight sim in VR, I can not recommend it enough. It will blow your mind! Cheers Swoods
  11. Good checklist. Helped me out on the weekend. My rift has arrived.. .. . . . . my GPU has not :(
  12. As my current build has NO graphics card at all, the 1080 will fit just nicely. However either the end of the year or early next year I'll upgrade to the ti or an AMD card if they have big performance upgrades in the VR world.
