  1. Just found this thread, the videos are really jaw dropping. Thanks for all the hard-work! :) If this was possible, I wonder why Eagle Dynamics didn't work on this? I'd say this would be a major selling point, and we would have it in multiplayer no problem.
  2. Though it's sad that if SH5 fails (which it did reviews-wise), Ubisoft will just pull the plug from this project. I don't think anyone is going to develop another subsim of this caliber again.
  3. Have you tried Xpadder? I constantly read that it's one of the best one out there.
  4. Wow 8 pages? I believe the OP is an excellent troll. Well done.
  5. Wait until next week so the next patch will be released. Currently lots of annoying things including M60 spam of medics, 40MM GL spam of assaults, Carl Gustav spam of Engineers and some server lagging problems.
  6. I really want to support ED but, I keep looking at the "features" and this one just seems like a glorified big patch. I already own BS and FC and I just can't justify the 30$ price tag.
  7. Yay, this simulation has some sorts of physics!
  8. Though I believe FC uses the older version of Starforce, hence installing drivers. BS should have the proactive one.
  9. I've seen plenty of games where attackers stalled on the first objective. It's all about your team/teamwork.
  10. They did solve it for BF2 actually. Dolphin-diving doesn't work anymore. The FACT that they don't add it to BFBC2 is because it slows gameplay down. People camp, and action goes down the drain. Which is a decision I agree with, it keeps people on the move. This game isn't made to be realistic after all. You could try ArmA 2 for that. Here's the explanation from a DICE dev, which is more or less the paragraph above. This is for the consoles, but perhaps PC version encountered the same problems eventually:
  11. Great find. Tuned in to Istanbul, so many calls/traffic :D
  12. That Vickers just won my ugliest aircraft award. British never disappoint :P
  13. Nevermind. I disabled force feedback in producer.cfg and the problem went away. I think there's a bug with force feedback/trimmer connection. Somehow the game thinks it's trimming the wheel, where as I'm using a joystick for X and Y axis.
  14. Yep, I've just noticed the trim works for yaw, but I don't get any pitch or roll trim. I'm using a seperate rudder(I'm using a FFB wheel pedals for rudder to be exact), and a joystick. Maybe some kind of conflict?
  15. I don't want to hijack your thread but one more trimming thread will be unnecessary. I've been long away from BS and now I'm back to try 1.01. The problem I have is, I "can't" trim. I take off, stabilise the helicopter in a way I want to go, then press trim and let go of the stick quickly; nothing happens. I still have to compensate as I did before trimming. I check the "ctrl-enter" diagram and my controls look centered even after trimming. They don't "snap" like they did before the patch. Hover mode seems to work ok though. Autopilot channels are ON( and Flight director off), and I'm using the new trimmer method. Now, I'm obviously missing something here or my controls are broken somehow.
  16. I think we already have that?
  17. Ok thanks. BTW I also wish Starforce a very bad year and hope they go bust.
  18. Hello all, In FAQ it says: I'm wondering if "Hard drive volume serial number" includes USB Mass Storage as well? Like external harddisks? I'm wondering because I plug in and out external drives constantly, and I don't want to lose activations.
  19. I think devs are making a great mistake by not putting this awesome simulation on the biggest/best game distribution market on the internet. I would buy DCS again on Steam just because of it's convenience and ease of use. D2D is "draconian" and "archaic" by comparison to Steam. Also what's with the "high costs" thing? There are LOTS of indie developers earning money from Steam. Heck, even devs like Tripwire interactive managed to sell 500.000 copies of their generally unknown game of "Red Orchestra" and made it a popular franchise. Steam also doesn't charge for bandwith, developers can roll out as many updates/content as they want. The "Starforce" argument is also false, because developers can choose to use "3rd Party DRM" if they want. There are many games using SecuROM and TAGES on Steam. Seriously some people on this forum should check it out, rather than bad mouthing about it. It's not the 2003 "barely working" Steam anymore.
  20. Oh, it's "unstoppable power-unmovable object" time again. Aren't you guys tired of this game?
  21. Implement Mumble or TS3 support. People need to communicate in this game in public.
  22. Will there be improved avionics for Su-27, F-15 and such? Or is it just copy-paste from FC?
  23. Public gameplay has never been "played" realistic(nothing irks me like the current heli vs heli gameplay). You'll have to find yourself some buddies or join a squadron to play realistic-cooperative missions.
  24. I'd just drop in a 15 minute hardcoded time limit in it with two missions. One to let them try to start-up the heli in a pad, and the other with an airstart for some quick action. Otherwise I'm sure people will find a way to abuse it, as full version BS is out. (*remembers FC demo and how people integrated it to vanilla LO*)
  25. I'd just draw them a big red "FU" in paint if someone demanded something like that . . .
