Thanks for shots! I was there as a kid in that museum at Tillamook when I was a kid. Used to have alot of Navy planes and even a blimp inside it. Looks kinda barren now. Theres a F14A about 10 miles from me in a museum here I should go drool over. Edit: I just noticed the blimp is still there with the aliens inside it! Thanks again! -
It was the fuel pressure switch. Flipped her on and all good. Thanks!

Make sure you are hitting booster coils and starter at same time. Hold them until engine catches then slide run lever forward while still holding them down. Then adjust throttle to 1000-1200 RPM. If throttle isnt cracked far enough or you release either of them before its turning under its own power you get to reprime and start over.

What temp limits do you guys use on the engine? 115C water and 90C oil?

Hey all I read the manual and it says to flip the fuel tank pressure to on when it it starts to cough and everytime I go through 18K it starts coughing I flip it over and engine never really relights? Low fuel pressure light comes on and its over lol. I have tried the hand pump etc? I am climbing at 10-12 Boost and have even tried lower boost settings for fear of driving the motor to hard but I am lost how to get it above this altitude. :joystick: I am climbing at 2850 RPM and around 10 boost.

I will go back through the manual. Tires are fine I go back and land just fine.

Nah it happens as soon as I take off for some reason. Plane is fine litterally I rotate and it comes on. Pitot heat is on. I am flying 2.0 so maybe its a bug with that.

Hey all Just wanted to see if I had a bad install. I keep hearing a clunking noise subsonic and when I go supersonic there is no sound in cockpit at all. Seems the cockpit sounds are to low or something.

Is this update on DCS 2 Alpha yet? Mine isnt picking up an update. Or do you update aircraft different from the main game?

After last update I have same problem but to the right. I am doing the cold start mission and it pulles to the right like crazy as you get speed down the runway. Nothing I can do full rudder and wheel brakes can keep it straight.

There is definitely something up with the ALT hold function on the 342. If you set ALT Hold the chopper will hold your altitude as it should but it seems its just locking you into that altitude in the sim like slewing you to it, not actually trimming to or using the flight controls to hold it etc. The proof of this is if say you are running 80% tq on the rotor and you are in ALT mode you will be going 180ish. If you pitch forward you can speed up to 210+ with no change in TQ or Collective setting and 0 loss of altitude. This makes no sense to me also you can see on the control box nothing is changing on the choppers flight controls. The AP isnt adding more TQ or Collective to maintain your alt you are just magically able to fly faster pitching forward and lose no ALT in the process. I dont see how you can gain 30+ KMH by pitching with no more collective added and no change in altitude. Its also very noticeable when you activate the AP in ALT hold. The chopper will usually go through a big attitude change and magically you are 0 on the VSI the entire time and the controls in the box dont move. Like its just being locked to that altitude in the sim not actually flying it per say. Maybe its me but this behavior seems wrong.

Ya I feel like the SAS keeps you from turning. It seems overkill.

Flew her at high altitude about 18000 feet for awhile and never got hypoxia. Would be nice if this was implemented.

Auto Hover and auto collecting not working for me

Ya a little more leeway with this would be nice. I have had it in a perfect stable hover and it just refuses to turn on sometimes. Seems like it is buggy. -
Then wait till the F14 is out and we can finally have Topgun in one game! :D

Thanks ya checked it but manual needs to be finished it seems. The ALT mode for me is sketchy sometimes it works others it doesn't must be a bug. I think it works ok if you are trimmed very close to level then activate it to ALT but if you are out of whack at all it does nothing.

What does the Autopilot button do on the stick? Is it the master on off for AP or what? Manual says just flip to ALT or Speed and it should work but do you need to hit the AP on the stick? When you hit it all the little needles in the stability control system seem to turn off.

Thanks. Ya maybe its just cause Gaz is so sensitive to input haha. Glad it works right just gotta figure out like a delay or something to stop the crazy control without FFB.

What is the hotkey to show that little red window. I have it set in options to show up in the bottom right but its not there. I see it is retrimming properly but that spike at cruise its nuts.

Thanks Oubaas. Glad its not just me! Yes it is supposed to have both systems according to manual. I figure in the real AC you would probable force trim to get close then beep trim for cruise. The force trim seems to be screwed up.

Ya seems on the starter switch you have to hold it with mouse for a second to get it to start up. If you click it fast it just moves and doesn't start the turbine it is glitchy for me aswell. The nerd in me would also like to see real battery drain if you failed the start or something.

So after it does it porpoise it will settle to where you force trimmed it? I will try that again then. I seem to fly it through the bump then re force trim then give up haha.
