  1. Feel free to do your own testing. I made a thread and to me the F404 is not spooling quick enough. GEs documentation shows under four secs from idle to 100% and we are about 2 seconds slower then that. One of the docs even shows and average in the low 3 second range. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=217200
  2. Is this a bug thats known by RAZBAM? Seemed like it was working properly before.
  3. This. Its still pretty beta this module and true CASE III has a long ways to go.
  4. I was just looking at some documents and several of them have said under 4 seconds from IDLE to initial A/B light on the F404. I know A/B light time is random as engine has to go through the process etc. I have tried to time it in the sim and even if only count time after I push throttle full forward its 5.5-6.5 seconds from idle to 100% I wonder if this is why some feel the drag is to high or very easy to get behind the power curve. This is measuring it after I already pushed throttles up so thats letting engines get up about 75% before I even hit timer lol. If I time from when I start moving throttle it takes about 6.5 or little over like theres a bit of lag for the command to hit FADEC or we. I am only timing to 100% on display not A/B light etc. Is the throttle response to slow? I know the turbines spool from Low RPM slower then High RPM but even on the Wiki it says the F404 was known to respond fast for carrier ops. Says around 4 seconds for idle to lighting A/B. This is what several documents show online aswell. In the GE document it says on average 3.25 seconds from idle to full thrust. Several Official Sources. http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a164562.pdf https://www.icas.org/ICAS_ARCHIVE/ICAS1984/ICAS-84-5.4.2.pdf
  5. There should be a count down to show when it goes active. Its not implemented RMax RNE is all wrong too.
  6. Well that explains a lot.:megalol:
  7. You are most likely slewing the map with your AXIS that's assigned.
  8. Just wondered what the max range was on the TPOD for a buddy lase? Say one guy is running in with Laser Mavs and GBUs how far can I hang back and still lase?
  9. US Navy usually sets trigger for missiles and gun. Its their way of doing things.
  10. Maybe because you are claiming FM improvements and not flying on AoA or in a manner that would reveal any improvements? Feedback is worthless unless you are flying by the book. This would be like claiming the A/C doesn't accelerate properly and you are flying with the airbrake up then saying it accelerates better after the patch lol. You should be in the 135 KIAS range in groove any faster and you are either overweight or not on AoA.
  11. Wish they would make it correct to the real A/C it can carry more CM then it currently does.
  12. Its better then it was but its not fixed. I had 5 KTS headwind and 25 KTS Carrier speed and was sliding once I was perpendicular to the wind.
  13. In mission editor I had to use the drop down to select the unit to do the action on even though I had already clicked it to get it to work.
  14. Edit. Wasn't working rebuilt mission and its working now.
  15. Do you just set the channel in the mission editor?
  16. I will try to make a track but its easy to reproduce. Knives when you say its just getting dumped into the engine that would mean the FADEC etc would just be allowing Fuel to dump in and stall or flameout the turbine this makes no sense. ORIDE: Pressurization of and fuel transfer from all installed external tanks is provided (HOOK handle must be up in F/A-18A/B aircraft). The other external tank fuel control switch must be in STOP if fuel transfer from its tank(s) is not desired. Clearly they can both be on ORIDE position its just saying that if you dont want flow from a tank to set it to STOP.
  17. Wish we could have the wing flex from releasing stores like that. :)
  18. VT is modeled for Cluster munition burst height.
  19. What is going on with this several times when flying the M2K the radar will show no contacts even at say 10 miles but if I turn it to standby and back on they instantly show up with no other changes? Is this a known bug?
  20. The Hornet is capable of extremely high Alpha flight. Just because you don't see it done at airshows doesn't mean its not possible. It just maybe so close to the edge of the envelope no one does it. When you are the pilot and have the chance of dying or trashing a multi million dollar A/C you think twice about alot of stuff we do in sims. Nasa used the F18 to test high AoA flight for years. They tested it to at least 55 Degrees AoA. https://www.nasa.gov/centers/dryden/history/pastprojects/HARV/index.html Once you have better then 1:1 Thrust the wings are there to be turning vanes for the turbines haha.
  21. That is hilarious!
  22. Yes why would we want the jet to behave as it does in real life? Plenty of people fly DCS and do acrobatics. It is important that it behaves like the real plane as close as possible. There is something going on with GE and Flaps. I have been doing some goofy airshow stuff and the jet has something going on with the flaps. Roll inverted and put the flaps down half plane still balloons like you are vertical lol. There's tuning to be done for sure.
