TrackIR Behavior with 1.5.4 Release
Winston 60 replied to Flame's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
If this new way is "more correct" then why are we getting "Head tracking disabled" message and then TrackIR doesn't work anymore. Is no TrackIR at all supposed to be "more correct"? I would love if ED made 2 separate view settings for those using VR and those using TrackIR. [ame] [/ame] -
Head tracker disabled?
Winston 60 replied to Winston 60's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Did not work in my case. Only solution for me (after hours of screwing around with this) was to revert back to the 1.5.3 TrackIR default.lua -

Thanks Gliptal. That fixed it for me. How did that ever get past Quality Control when so many had problems with this in OB? 1.5.4..... worst update I've seen ever! :badmood: -

Every time I start a mission in 1.5.4 I get a message "Head Tracker Disabled" and my view becomes extremely zoomed in? Track IR works except for the Z axis which is redded out in the controls??? ?????

How do you set the season in the new mission editor?

 Looks great! I can't wait to add that to my Sabre liveries.

I sure hope this is fixed before it shows up in the release version! :shocking:

On your first question, I always give the AI a specific parking spot after landing, but they have never used it, not once, not ever. They still keep parking wherever they want often blocking a prime spawn in spot reserved for other multiplayers. I still keep assigning them specific parking hoping this is someday fixed in the long list of Mission Editor bugs.

Aircraft and Helos can be made visible before their activation by setting them as "UNCONTROLLED". Set their start time to the missions start time. Then make your trigger for them to start: 1. Trigger: 1 ONCE 2. Conditions: [your choice of how you want them to start] example TIME MORE SECONDS 60 starts them 1 minute after mission start. 3. Actions: AI TASK PUSH then AI ACTION [your group name] Start

Yes! Aren't the Tunguska's hard to spot using just the Maverick seekers? Did you remember to zoom the Maverick screen to 6X? We A-10A pilots always have this problem as we aren't able to carry the TGP. For practicing I created a mission just to try identifying SAMS with just the Maverick and it's seeker and found that they are sometimes easier to identify at distance on 6X magnification when using the IR "D" Mavericks. Try re-arming with the "D" mavericks at the beginning and see if that helps. We also use a diversion technique as a team. One A-10 will get just close enough to make the Tunguska fire while another A-10 farther away is looking at the convoy through his Maverick at 6X. He can then see where the Tunguska(s) is when it fires and can fire a missile at it. I also have a snap-view programmed to a button that zooms my Maverick screen to nearly full scree size when the button is held down and returns to normal cockpit when the button is released. This larger view helps to identify the profile of the vehicle. I hope it was fun nevertheless Zarma. I never said it would be easy! :music_whistling:

Yes, but your wingmen are good for only the first sortie. If you like long missions flying solo have a go at the 2-4 player version here but know that the odds are massively against you. The last time I built a single player mission, my wingmen did not refuel/rearm and join me on subsequent sorties. Has this changed? :dunno: I see there's enough interest in single player versions so I'll get to work on modifying these a bit, then test and post them before I return to work on multiplayer mission 2.
