  1. I'm currently building a multiplayer campaign based at Mozdok and have been testing there intensively. I don't see this. :dunno: I've never installed any other texture mods except Starways 1.1 and then 2.0. Maybe this is a jumble of another texture mod you had before? Can you show another pic zoomed out more so I can see where exactly on Mozdok you're seeing this, and I'll check again. Try removing Starways 2.0 texture mod, then do a repair and then install a fresh new Starways 2.0. Best of luck.
  2. I downloaded again and got the .dds file in the "LandTexturesWinterOther" folder now. Thanks.
  3. Yes, but you didn't give us "noise_1.bmp.dds" in your new "LandTexturesWinterOther" folder. You gave us "noise_1.bmp.bmp" :( Are all the "noise_1.bmp.dds" files the same? Maybe I could use one from one of the other folders?
  4. Folder "LandTexturesWinterOther" does not contain a .dds file, but a .bmp. Is this correct?
  5. Once your vehicles have been fired upon, they assume the command of "dispersal under fire" at the default of 600 which is 10 minutes. They will not proceed on their way until 10 minutes have passed. You can set a different "dispersal under fire" time in seconds by adjusting this in the mission builder. Set this up under advance waypoint settings ROE (Rules of engagement). Turn it off by unchecking the tick box or just change the amount of time before they continue on their way.
  6. Yes, a high weight when landing is usually the culprit. The DCS F-15C has a nicely working "Fuel Dump" so use it to shed some weight before touching down.
  7. It will properly show the wind direction, (so no need to set it's heading when placing it) but the speed/strength of the wind is always shown as very high. The sock has but one strength animation which is great for +8 m/s and above but looks way too strong for lower wind speeds. Still nice to see the direction in relation to the runway and maybe ED will improve on this in the future?
  8. Simply zoom your view in so the radar is nearly full screen, as if you were leaning forward to get a real good closeup look at it. Or make a snap view on a button that enlarges the radar then returns to normal when the button is released. With an enlarged view of the radar it's a lot easier to select multiple targets in TWS, even if they are close together.
  9. By default there are no windsock(s) at airbases. You have to place the windsock(s) in each mission you create via the mission editor. They are a "Static" object.
  10. Use the pull down menu for vehicle formations. It defaults to "Off Road" so look for that. You can change to several others or make your own "custom" formation.
  11. Yeah, just found this. Great work!
  12. The multi-colored rooftops seem to disappear with increased distance. When I'm high I cannot see the colors; only when I'm lower and closer to them do they switch to different colors. Is it supposed to be this way?
  13. Tires blow out when you are way too heavily loaded and apply the brakes for too long. Try reducing the amount of fuel you're taking or reduce the armament loadout somewhat. Taxi slower and use the brakes in very short applications.
  14. I'll try that and let you know if I run into any problem. Thanks!
  15. When I fly this skin it has the black cockpit. When I fly a stock skin or any of the other skins I have, they all have the stock grey cockpit. I see the black cockpit texture files are in this skins folder and in the description.lua file. So how do I revert back to the original grey cockpit in this "Pete Fernandez" skin?
  16. Yes, I see that. It is skewed a bit. Thanks so much for fixing these for us. Perhaps Bo Nidles will update these soon.
  17. Solution is here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=168103 BIG Thanks to Skatezilla and LCSummers.
  18. Skatezilla, what is the drawback to using these skins, as is, after your modification to the description.lua's? Would there be anything noticable by not having the diffuse and specular maps redone?
  19. Yeah, that would be great since in some previous patch the runway and taxi lights became invisible at distance and altitude. Anything to help find the airbase in the dark!
  20. Has anyone yet modified the description.lua files for these 3 skins? I've been trying without success to get these fine liveries back into my 1.5 release game. I can't figure out how to remove the front fuselage bort and still retain the rear fuselage and tail numbers. :dunno:
  21. Bump for a reminder to ED that the runway lights too dim still needs attention. You can clearly see city lights farther away but the runway lights are barely visible at night until you are right on top of the airbase at 2500ft or lower.
  22. Yes! C-130 please! A C-130 was lumbering along when a F-16 flashed by. The cocky jet jock decided to show off. The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, "watch this!" and promptly went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb. He then finished with a sonic boom as he broke the sound barrier. The F-16 pilot asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of that? The C-130 pilot said: "That was impressive, but watch this!" The C-130 droned along for about 5 minutes and then the C-130 pilot came back on and said: "What did you think of that?" Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked: "What the heck did you do?" The C-130 pilot chuckled: "I stood up, stretched my legs, walked to the back, took a leak, then got a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll!"
  23. No, it does not come on automatically. You have to turn EAC on manually or the PAC and autopilot will not work.
  24. Other than the fact that you need EAC on to engage the PAC, you could do it that way as long as you use your autopilot once before firing the gun in A/G mode. If you don't have EAC on the gun pipper will rise significantly when firing the gun. So you're right about just turning it on and leaving it on in the A-10A. There's really no reason to turn it off. I turn my EAC on when I go to A/G mode the first time, then immediately test to see that it's on by briefly switching on the autopilot. Then I'm good-to-go for autopilot and PAC use for the rest of the sortie. After shutdown to repair and/or rearm and refuel in multiplayer, you again have to turn on the EAC as it goes off when the aircraft is powered down. Isn't this a fun little airplane to fly? So easy to learn (compared to the C model) and it's very versatile hence my plea to ED to just fix a few items and this plane would be even better.
