  1. Multiplayer mission three "The Gauntlet" is now in the first stage of multiplayer testing. It should be ready for release next week.
  2. Has ED or BigNewy seen this topic? Strange they've not acknowledged or commented.
  3. +1 A fix for this should be a priority.
  4. OK, a definite bug then. I've checked my other modules, all FC3, Sabre and P-51D aircraft have good mirrors so this must be a side effect of ED having fixed the Su-25T's engine start assignments.
  5. I had the same problem. It seems that TAB has been preassigned to Multiplayer chat-mode all and unless you remove that assignment you can't use it for anything else. If you want to use TAB for something other than MP chat you'll need to first go to your Controls and then under the UI Layer section unassign it from the Multiplayer chat - mode all.
  6. I'm still looking for a playtester for the C model, see the requirements above. Mission 3 is now in the build stage.
  7. In the release version of DCS 1.5.4.55952.150 Update 4 today on 08-19-16, I no longer have focused mirrors in the Su-25T. They are just a blur. At first I thought it was a problem with Starways scenery textures so I took them out and put the originals back. Same effect. I then did a repair, no improvment. All other modules that I own don't have this problem. My system still takes a fps hit when I toggle the mirrors on and I regain the fps with them off, same as before. Is this a bug or just me? Anyone else notice this? And thanks ED for sorting out the engine start keys that used to start the wrong engine. EDIT: Sorry, my bad. The engine startup/shutdown was not fixed, it is still reversed.
  8. Labels format now forced in multiplayer game from mission file Is this in the Mission Editor? Where? How? Or do you manually edit something in the mission file? Could someone explain this a bit, please?
  9. I think this whole new multiplayer extrapolation algorithm is proving to be a giant problem for ED to nail down. They just can't seem to get a grip on it yet, although some improvements involving missile hits have been made recently. I'm hoping they still have someone working on this issue.
  10. Mission three teaser. The Gauntlet It’s our fourth day at Mozdok airbase and the weather is getting worse. Sorties have been reduced somewhat due to snowstorms and supply problems, but we still fly when conditions allow. We have inflicted much damage to the General’s forces that have attacked us, and are looking forward to going on the offensive as soon as the rest of our assets are in place and our missing equipment arrives. Crates of our equipment, including the TGP’s, turned up in Germany and are at this moment being loaded into a pair of C-130’s for transport to Mozdok. Yesterday, tanks and armored vehicles of our Multinational Force engaged a buildup of the General’s forces several klicks southeast of Mozdok airbase. The battle is now over and our armor is coming back to Mozdok to repair, rearm and refuel, and to get medical treatment for the wounded. Mission three will be to escort three Tank Platoons through “The Gauntlet” (the name given to the area just south and east of Mozdok airbase by one of our Tank Commanders). This area is full of natural cover and terrain features that make it perfect for springing ambushes. ................... coming soon!
  11. A place to go to brief your pilots before multiplayer plane selection. Here a Squadron Leader (the mission builder) could brief his pilots, show video clips, photos, maps, etc. that pertain to the mission and maybe another button to leave the briefing room and go to plane selection which would then start the mission. Sure, it doesn't look easy but think of the value of something like this for pre-mission preparation. You could present a graphical presentation of plane assignments, a clear and concise brief of what you can expect in the mission, where you're going and what you're likely to encounter there using video, pics and text projected on the virtual screen.
  12. If this is an HD Cockpit mod, why did someone report that the gauges are harder to read? :dunno:
  13. Great job! Looks like it's time to break out the old Sabre missions.... or build a few new ones. Hmmmm.....now if only someone would mod an add on tailhook........
  14. Hmmmmm..... we flew a multiplayer mission earlier tonight and tanks did not raise dust on paved roads. I don't know what to make of this. Perhaps there are different types of paved roads? When we first noticed the vehicles raising dust again on paved roads it was on winter scenery. Now tonight we were on autumn scenery and no dust. I'm baffled.
  15. Could you have had another F-15 locked? Next time try zooming in closer on your radar to see what it says you have locked.
  16. 1. Ignore the "Shoot, Shoot". Betty always says that as soon as you press the lock button and you are in range for the Maverick. 2. The Mav's in the "A" model seem to prefer bigger targets to the smaller ones like vehicles. If there's a building, bridge, power line tower, etc near the target you're trying to lock, it will probably immediately lock on to the larger item. Leave it locked there and go to step 3. 3. Zoom way in on your Maverick screen. Once you are well zoomed in (I use a snap view programmed to a button to make the Mav screen full screen size when pressed and returns to the cockpit front view when the button is released) you can slew the maverick cross onto the target you want. Do not unlock the Mav and try to re-lock on the target you want, as it will probably still lock the larger object. Just slew the cross while it is locked. When it locks (jumps) onto what you want and the cross is flashing... fire. 4. If you just can't get your target locked and the Mav keeps locking a larger object, break away and take a new route in to your target from another direction.
  17. The RWR code for an F-15C is 15 with a ^ above it The RWR code for a SA-15 SAM radar is 15 The RWR code for a Patriot SAM radar is P
  18. EDIT: Used Grygor's temp fix above to regain assignability of my TAB key.
  19. EDIT: Works! If I remove every instance of TAB from the UI menu, close DCS world and restart, I can now program the TAB key to what I want. Thanks for the temp fix Gryzor.
  20. Thanks BIG NEWY. I appreciate you checking on this for us. If it was a mistake, I'd sure like to reclaim the use of the TAB key as assignable. It's a shame not to be able to program it now.
  21. TAB can no longer be re mapped to anything. Try to re assign it to any function and .... you can't. The press of the TAB key is now not recognized in the controls setting screens.
  22. Have flown this many times with just 2 players, so just try the standard version for 2 to 4 players first. With 3 players you should finish in under two hours. If this is not enough of a challenge, try the alt version. It plays out the same, just has more targets.
  23. Wow! After a first multiplayer flight in this new patch, the IR missiles seem a bit more inclined to hit. More testing to follow, but confidence is high this may be a good fix. Thanks ED!
  24. The vehicles raising dust effect while traveling on roads was reported fixed in DCS 1.5.4.55169 Update 2, but now the effect has returned in 5 Aug patch of release version 1.5.4.55584 Update 3.
  25. Now you can no longer assign the TAB key to do something else. I had it set for my Communications Menu, but now I can't assign it to anything at all. It's like it's a totally unavailable key and can no longer be reassigned. :furious:
