  1. Err you cannot enter HACO with HMD off and HMD off while in HACO will deactivate HACO... I guees HACO is also an ACM mode. And the documentation say:
  2. Steps to reproduce: - Enter any ACM mode (e.g. VACO) - Put the TGP onto the RDDI - Press SCS Right Observed: - Nothing happent Expected: - For TDC right in ACM, I expect the same behaviour as without ACM which will set TDC priority to the RDDI. If you lock a target, put the radar on the LDDI, go over the ACM box with the tdc cursor and press tdc depress to deactivate ACM, and then press SCS right, the TDC priority will be set to the right ddi (as I expect myself). For this i add the track file "ACM_RIGHT_AS_EXPECTED.trk". However there seems to be a mistake in the documentation, I guess it should say "If TGP FLIR is displayed on the RDDI" instead of LDDI, because it's SCS right. ACM_SCS_RIGHT.trk ACM_SCS_RIGHT_AS_EXPECTED.trk
  3. Steps to reproduce: - Goto HACO mode - Press SCS Aft Expected: - ACM mode changes to VACO Obeserved: - Nothing happent Note: HACO => WACO => VACO works ACM_HACO_VACQ.trk
  4. - Lock a target with another ACM mode then boresight (hmd, VACQ, WACQ) - Move the tdc cursor over the ACM box on the radar ddi - Press tdc depress Using boresight mode, this deactivates ACM but keeps the target tracked in STT as expected. Just using the (hmd, VACQ, WACQ) in the same procedure instead, and lock is lost. deactive_ACM_helmet.trk
  5. Yes. This issue occurs only if a target is locked. If you havn't locked a target, note that there is no tdc cursor, but the pushbutton works.
  6. In the case that you want to fire the gun, I assume that you are allready so close that you can identify the target visual without using the TGP. My usecase was just that I want to zoom in on the TGP using the HOTAS to identify the target before shooting (You have spottet a point on the sky, aquired it using ASM and now you just want to zoom in the TGP using the HOTAS). And it actual works if you select this menue point with the TDC and press TDC depress, but not if you press the push button. So thats why it seems clear to me that it's a bug.
  7. Just by selecting a menue item on the radar ddi (no break of the lock), the tdc cursor jumps back into the upper left corner. TDC_Position.trk
  8. Steps to reproduce: - Lock a target in boresight - Try to exit ACM by pressing PB7 on the radar ddi Observed: ACM will be keeped Expected: ACM will be disengaged but target will remain tracked in STT ACM_EXIT.trk
  9. Steps to reproduce: - acquirering a target in ACM mode (Boresight Mode) Observed: Radar keeps ACM mode (displaying "ACM Box" under PB7) Expected: Switch from ACM mode to STT mode Source: DSC Hornet documentation page 298: Single Target Track (STT) Mode STT is entered at the completion of manual or automatic target acquisition. •Pressing the TDC designate button when TDC cursor is over an RWS hit. ==> Works fine •Pressing the TDC designate button twice when the TDC cursor is over an LTWS trackfile. ==> Works fine •Use of AACQ mode or ACM mode. ==> Does not work, ACM Box is still displayed after acquirering a target in ACM mode on radar screen => Rader does not change to STT mode with normal/expected STT behaviour in which "SCS LFT" should make the LDDI SOI if ATFLIR is displayed. Just to explain wny I expect that SCS LFT" should make the LDDI SOI if ATFLIR is displayed. : I would interpred page 78 of the hornet documentation (20.5.2021) like this for the case that the radar mode is STT and TDC is not assigned to LDDI: Left [Left Alt + ,]: { If (TDC priority is already assigned to the LDDI) // false { if (LDDI is radar display) { If (radar is tracking) { commands break lock (not un-designate). } else if (TDC is over a radar return) { commands radar to track mode STT } } else If (TGP FLIR is displayed on the LDDI) // makes only sence here under "TDC priority is already assigned to the LDDI"; Might be placed wrong in the documentation!? { it will command a track in either A/A or A/G. } } else if (In A/A ACM sub-mode) // false, because automatic acquesition has changed radar mode to STT and ACM has been left regarding page 298 as descriped in the beginning of this bug report { commands wide acquisition (WACQ) to radar system. } else // Default: { Assigns TDC priority to the LDDI. // Should be done! } } ACM_keeped.trk
  10. Hi I add Option to repeat weapon assignment for another station to the wish list which is even more confortable and includes this.
  11. Hello, I wish to have an option to repeat the assignment of a weapon/station content onto another station just by left clicking the box of that station (if last selection is valid). This will reduce the time and effort to load a complete aircraft enormasly. In addition, this will reduce the risk of a wrong/unrealistic assignment, e.g. to have an AIM-120B under the left wing and an AIM-120C under the right wing by mistake... Example: - Normal assignment an "LAU-115 with 2 x LAU-127 AIM-120C5" to station 8 - Afterwards, all stations which can get the same assignment will be visualized ( In this example, they becomes green) - Now you can just left-click the green boxes to simply assign the same selection to that station. - If you hold shift during click, the opposit station will be loaded as well (E.g., clicking station 7 while holding shift, station 3 will be loaded as well with the same content) and/or if you hold ctrl, all green stations will be loaded with that content. Alternatly or additionaly, you can just create some kind of mechanism on the right area which is not used today: Right click in that area => Select a weapon from the menue, but now the meue contains all content which is feasable for that certaint aircraft. When you select a content here, again all stations where you can assign the weapon becomes green. Now the content can be assigned by left-clicking the box of a station. And again, If you hold shift during click, the opposit station will be loaded as well (E.g., clicking station 7 while holding shift, station 3 will be loaded as well) and/or if you hold ctrl, all green stations will be loaded with that content. After selection:
  12. Thank you BIGNEWY but from my side I havn't, but if you even don't have an evidence in your sources our best expactation is that we can expect that it should be possible to make the ATFLIR SOI somehow to zoom in the designated target to identify it using HOTAS. And currently I see no way doing that without loosing the lock of the target or releasing the HOTAS. In ACM mode, we can expect the pilot is allready very close to a CAC/dogfight situation and then it seems to be impertinence to me to excpect that the pilot has the time to release the HOTAS and press some push buttons on DDI's to make it possible to identify the target for a shoot / no shoot decision because each second can decide if the pilot will survive or not. Just my 50 Cent...
  13. As I understood, the ATFLIR should track the target opticaly by pressing SCS left twice (Frist time: Make ATFLIR SOI, Second time for locking the target) so there is no reason. So you can undesignate the L&S pointing without loosing the ATFLIR lock by pressing SCS left twice, make radar SOI (pressing SCS right in the standard DDI configuration) and press undesignate. But I'm not sure here but this is what I would expect.
  14. Hello, because I don't know which airfield belongs to which country, I wish that there is an automatism (Menue Item) to assign all airfield to the coaltion where the nation it owns belongs to on the time which the map represents, to make it easier to create realistic missions and to not have the effort to assign all the airfield to it's correct coalition. For this the airfield must just know it's owner nation of the certaint time the map is representing. Example: - The Caucasus Map represents the time of 2012 (For example) - Batumi Airfield belongs to Georgia in 2012 (If I'am correct). - If Georgia belongs to red coalition in the mission, using this automatism the Airfield becomes red. - If Georgia belongs to neutral coalition in the mission, using this automatism the Airfield becomes neutral. - If Georgia belongs to blue coalition in the mission, using this automatism the Airfield becomes blue. Of course it should be possible to override that within a campain or so... By changing the coaltion of Georgia, this automatism must be applied again (manual by clicking the menue item) to change the coaltion of that airfield.
  15. Ok understood, then the behaviour is wrong when you ar in NAR 2.0 and press PB6 because of this I assumed that WFOV 2.0 exist because it's displayed.
  16. No, but you can swap to MFOV using PB 6, goto zoom lvl 2 using PB 5 and then go back to WFOV using PB6 twice and LVL 2 will be keeped even for WFOV. (Track attached). Also possible in AG mode. ATLIR_ZOOM_WFOWLVL2.trk
  17. Hello, I wish an option to load a weapon station (in ME, but why not also in a Mission) symetrical (same content for left and right wing) so that I don't have to load all the weapons twice each time. This could be realized by a modifier button, let's say left shift, while selecting the weapon/fueltank or whatever from the dialog. Of course this can only work for valid configurations.
  18. No that even isn't working. I cannot make ATFLIR SOI even not on the right side.
  19. [NEW] Steps to reproduce: - Track a point on ATFLIR and zoom in much as possible - Press MDI PB 6 Expected: ATFLIR enters WFOV lvl 1 Observed: ATFLIR displays WFOV lvl2 Trackfile: See my second post here [OLD] Steps to reproduce: - Press "select AMRAAM" - Lock a target with the radar - Try to push LFT MDI PB 5 to enter zoom lvl 2 while in WFOV Expected: ATFLIR zooms into lvl 2 Observed: ATFLIR keeps zoom lvl 1 ATLIR_ZOOM.trk
  20. Steps to reproduce: - Activate boresight mode (SCS FW) - Lock a target - Try to make the ATFLIR SOI (SCS LFT) ==> Will not work; Instead the radar goes into WACO mode; I don't expect this as long as a target is locked because else there is no way to zoom in on the ATFLIR display to identify the target. To activate WACO mode I excpect to have to undesignate the locked target first and then press SCS LFT. (Same behaviour as for AACQ mode) WACO.trk
  21. Yes Ok then it seems to be no bug thank you! However I don't understand why the action is called "SECOND DETENT", is there also a "FIRST DETENT"?
  22. Hi ok that explained a bit thanks! On my HOTAS I have First detent = "Weapon Release Button" Second detent = "Gun Trigger - SECOND DETENT" So that explains why on launching the AMRAAM (on the second detent) the HARM will be launched at same time (Weapon Release Button). I thought I bound it as it is in real but if it is bound correct I ask me how do they handle it in real (Launching AMRAAM only)? Or does the Hornet stick has just one detent and WRB is another button? Then the name of the Action might by wrong (if there is only one detent on the Hornet stick) or the key binding for FIRST DETEND is missing or I can't find it
  23. Steps to reproduce: - Activate AA mode (AMRAAM) - Lock on hostile aircraft with the radar - Wait until the Patriot-Site is tracking the enemy as well (EWR Warining) - Launch the AIM-120C Observed: By pressing the trigger, both weapons (AIM-120C and HARM) will be released at once and the HARM. Expected: Only one weapon should be released (I expect the AIM-120C as long I'm in AA mode) harm_ff.trk
  24. When I fly through a cloud of debrises of an exploded missile (directly behind the aircraft on which the missle has impacted) or when I'm firering the gun and fly to close through the splinter falliwng out of the aircraft in front (aircraft parts seperated from cannon impacts etc.), this could and should damage the engine of a fighter jet in some cases (depending how close the aircraft is behind etc.) because debrises can be sucked in by the engine and can damage it. Especially the debrises of an air to air missile are made to damage an aircraft and so they should damage an aircrafts engine if the aircraft flys through a dence cloud of such debrises (Maybe by chance, maybe the expansion [more volume, less chance of damage] of such debrise clouds over the time should be considered). I don't expect a detailed calculation of such flight path for each debrise or to have a visual representation of them but maybe a more or less simplified algorithm (regarding performance issues / less effort to implement it) would be good enogh. What I try to say is that no real pilot will fire a gun just to close directly behind an aircraft or fire a missile from directly behind it without an option to evade debrises because there is a high risk to damage the own aircraft/engine by debrises in this case. This element is not part of DCS but in real live it will affect the air combat behaviour in CAC / dogfight in a considerable way, so a real trained pilot has to plan his attack, if he has the choise, so that he will not cross the flight path of debrises / (the direct flight path of the enemy aircraft) to close without a chance to evade. I guess it's not so hard to implement this because it's similar to bird strikes which allready are implemented and can be activated in the settings of the mission.
  25. Ignore "Instead the crash site will always be selected. " I tried again and it's a point somwhere but not the waypoint nor the crash site.
