Is it possible to export the Shkval as a viewport?
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in Su-25T Issues
Cheers Mastiff, that's what i found too, it needs code written for this, and my lua knowledge is nowhere near that level. -
Want clickable interface for the Su-25T?.. look no further!
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Clear Dark who wrote/created HawgTouch is considering updating the program to support gauges for DCS Wolrd / Su25T / Flaming Cliffs 3... but as it stands gauge export is not supported. So for now its just an interface to replace keyboard inputs. Regarding Shkval export i don't think this is possible in the Su25T in DCS World, which is a shame, if a clever person can figure it out it would be great. There seems to be no 'viewport' for the Su25T.. i made a htread requesting any help figuring it out there.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=88412 -

MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I could do with a touch screen monitor too, but you don't need one. I just use my regular 2nd monitor and mouse.. works a treat. I'll release this shortly, i'm just awaiting Clear Dark to get back to me on a wee bug. -
turning off the autopilots ability to trim
MadTommy replied to Soulres's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
If an Autopilot can't use trim it cannot do its job. You can however use 'level flight' mode to re-trim the Su25T automatically. Much easier than fighting the trim yourself. Engage 'Level Flight', once level, disengage autopilot and you will be perfectly trimmed. -
Hello, I'm working on a HawgTouch interface for the Su-25T, its nearly finished and i thought i'd put a little preview video up to demonstrate it. Best watched full screen at 720p. This is not designed as a virtual cockpit. But an alternative to keyboard inputs negating having to memorise keyboard short-cuts. These panels are designed to compliment your HOTAS set-up, not replace it. Generally functions normally found on your HOTAS are not included in these panels. But they should mean you don't have to fumble the keyboard whilst flying. It is designed using default in-game commands.. so no time consuming set-up.. simply run the included HawgTouch exe and launch the profile and it will work without set up. Of course the size and location of panels is completely customisable. More features will be in the finished product. There will be 3 tabs, ramp, runway & air start allowing correct sync of switches. Can be run on a 2nd monitor, or networked computer, for more details see the HawgTouch thread linked below. The HawgTouch thread can be found here. See you in the skies!

The Toad (Su-25T) appreciation thread
MadTommy replied to Nate--IRL--'s topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Just loving flying the Toad in DCS. With the 6dof mod & Ricardo's cockpit mod its a gem have available in DCS. Personally i quite like the fact it is of lower fidelity than true DCS airframes.. nice and easy to get you head around the systems but still a challenge to master and fly well. -
Been having a little look at getting the Shkval on my 2nd monitor, but it does not unfortunately look possible. With no Su25T folder in the \Scripts\Aircrafts\ folder it does not seem the Shkval is treated as a 'viewport'. Anyone figured out if it is possible? Thanks for any help.

Do I have to run desktop at in game resolution?
MadTommy replied to rss0900's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm not sure i understand what you are asking or why you need to change your resolution outside the game..DCS will run at whatever resolution you want. I suggest you describe your issue with a bit for detail. -
Yes radar was still transmitting, i had not fired at the SA-3 yet and i continued to receive a lock warning before & after the 25 exploded. I have flown this mission 3 times, this occurred the one time. I'll look at the track again tomorrow and post it up. Cheers.

I was just doing a little refresher of the Su25T, not flown it for ages. Doing some SEAD testing...had 2 Kh-58 and 2 Kh-25MPU. Fired the 2 58s and the 1st 25 successfully, killing targets, on firing the 2nd 25 it exploded 70 yards off the rail. It was not intercepted or similar. It just blew up. The target was a SA-3 system. Is this a bug or is there some other explanation? I do have the track if its needed. Cheers

Cheers Viper.. understood. Answered but maybe not solved :P

I've assigned rotaries on my X52 from Rudder & Pitch Axis Trim but they have no effect. I use these rotaries for trim in P51 with no issues, and well as other functions on BS2 & A10c.. they work fine..

Air Display app for Tablets... anyone using it?
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
What card do you have? I think both your responses explain the mixed reviews! Cheers -
You need to go to the Saitek control panel and disable the clutch button and then set the clutch button as a modifier in DCS...then programme the POV to be the boat switch using the clutch as a modifier..

There are a lot of disgruntled Cliffs of Dover flyers out there, me included, i'd snap my CloD disk if i had one! It would be great to get the IL2 community modding and building a WWII environment and planes... all potentially possible with the intent of ED giving us a thorough SDK...I don't think ED have the resources or intent to do it themselves..

HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C
MadTommy replied to ClearDark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1321713&postcount=520 I made a Abris overlay for BlackShark but could never manage to make the rotaries work.. A typical rotary button in cockpit is manipulated via mouse wheel.. but i've never managed to emulate this with HawgTouch..(by holding the button down to give repeated keystrokes) I hope the above link / post explains what i'm on about. Will defiantly share when done... thinking about it i actually have a few profiles i need to share that i haven't to date... -

HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C
MadTommy replied to ClearDark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Sounds good mate, Personally i don't use the 'gauges' side.. but always use the clickable overlays.. I assumed this side of HawgTouch will work fine with DCS World as it stands.. am i correct in this assumption? Thanks and great to hear its still on your radar! -
There is every file in DCS World that has *kneeboard within its workings... Maybe someone with better knowledge can make an export script.. way beyond my lua knowledge.

HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C
MadTommy replied to ClearDark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Any potential future development on this? There is a lot of potential for its use with Flaming Cliffs 3.... I'm gonna start making a Su25T profile as i see this being very helpful with regards to imitating a clickable cockpit... Cheers. -
A tool for DCS on Android ? Are you interested ?
MadTommy replied to yeepee's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Any chance this can be expanded to include check lists etc for other airframes? BlackShark, P51, Su25T... Pretty pretty please with lots of sugar on top! I would happily pay for it! As my head cant stored all the required info for the DCS World... -
How about tethering your mobile / cell phone to your pc to activate the game.... just an idea.
