It has traction on single pads. On Tarmac no traction. You need to hold stick almost all the way back and push it forward again when getting lift. That is a bit off.

Altitude and heat should have that effect. I tried to hoover Hind in heat and altitude. And it should not do that with full load. -
Having a copilot flying the chopper is by no means a cheat. Check the Kiowa. It is two pilots in the chopper.

Will there be a free trial period for this module?
LuseKofte replied to V0tm1x's topic in DCS: CH-47F
There will not be a trial in release period. Maybe next year -

Have you switched from Caucasus to Syria I am not sure how much temperature is a factor in this simulation. According to interviews I seen we can load the choppers more than they did in rl in hot temperatures. Anyway it is a difference in lift between hot and cold weather in this sim. And you will notice it close to the choppers envelope. My impression is that most sim pilots are hesitant to take less ordinance and expect the chopper to perform as they do in normal temperature -
It might. But I am very satisfied with the pit. The only problem with this chopper is the pilot( me). I tend to get shot down in hot environment that also is made by me. But I learn faster when in hurry and danger. Do or die is my motto

I fly with flat shadows and think my pit look nice in my g2. But as a vr user , you pretty much are used to less eyecandy

Man, if this come out 26th. 24 hours and 7 days a week will not be enough

Buddy lazing in public server do seldom happen except from squads flying together. And rear occasions. But for coop missions this is gold.

Probably my favorite chopper now. But being patient and smart is not my strongest side. In some ways it ruins other choppers. In the start I felt it flew like on rails, but now I feel like it flys like it should, of course I have no idea. I am not a pilot. But it just feel very well constructed, they spent a lot of time making this right. I can sit for hours just taxiing between buildings. It truly came as a surprise to me, I really believed it would be one more dust covered module in my hangar- 592 replies

That is correct. Stable is the point of the design. This is why they can do the pinpoint hoover. But in order to put the chopper exactly where you want it. A crew chief is needed. We know multi crew is not implemented on release. So we will in my opinion need a very good AI crew chief. And that might be a problem telling him what your intentions are.

Me too. I lost one function. When you switch to manual slave. What is the assignment called to lock the target? I am going to fly this module until I am satisfied and got muzzle memory. Thank you Polyshop. You probably made my favorite.- 592 replies

You are overly dramatic about some poly’s you do not agree with. I on the other hand bought a solid piece of software.- 592 replies

LuseKofte replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
I will let this man go. He has in fact made missions for it. In other words contributed. More than I has. I dl his missions and they are good He might have a point about the poly’s, but in my opinion they are of less importance. Because the things that counts are there and are simulated very well. I always forget that, we all are enthusiastic and devoted simmers. I think he want to improve this module. And I know a lot of modules that really can do with an updated texture. And I love those to death also. He just does it in a way that confuse people not to buy it. After spending all my available time on this chopper. I can say it is worth its money. But right now you are dependant at your own mission making skills and some you can down load. And I can recommend ThorBrasils missions. Like you did now, I was just curious why you enter a topic with no interest for you and contribute to this negativity based on no knowledge what so ever- 592 replies

There isn’t. It is a shimmer from the swithes that is in no way ruining the experience. I really hate the tendency some few loud ones in the community and their hostile approach in special after the Razbam vs ED dispute. Childish people buying a module and after two minutes calls it a robbery.- 592 replies

I think people have issues like me. I run 3080 and a G2. I have a very slow uploading of textures. If I figure out how to repair DCs I probably improve on that part. Had it a long time with all modules. I never believed I even liked the Kiowa. I bought it because I am a rotorhead. but man do I love it- 592 replies

Yeah. I have them also mapped. But I train myself to fly with the help of scas heading and aim my missles while I do. AI is what I use when training or want som hands off time trying to add waypoints and figure out that damn radio. Cami say it is easy. But I find it very difficult to figure out. I guess my head is full.

You do not need that many. You need 1. speed up 2.speed down 3. turn left 4. turn right 5. hoover( can also turn speed to zero so you can skip it) 6. Follow Route if you want more use modifier button an set speed and altitude at same buttons. I have also next point but I got enough buttons

Despite the hysteria. Which by the way erupted before anyone even been into this module. This is a complete module. And the poly’s are nice and dandy. Not competing with the best but in our chopper hangar it is sufficient and no worse than most. I flown this for many hours, I can operate both seats and all weapons. And still there is a lot to learn about it. Flying it as a civil chopper or an armed Huey with less fuel and without scat is also fun. it is just what I needed. I was a bit bored with the hind right now. Hoping to understand all the capabilities during this week and change the button assignments the way I want it. And get muzzle memory on it- 592 replies

People fly it with automatic help and complain it is too easy or not fly like a real chopper when out of the envelope the automated help can actually be at help. switch off the automatic if you going to fly it like a clown. I think areas of this community is more bugged than any module is. Can I refund it or get a new?- 592 replies

This thing is like an onion. The more you peal off the better it gets. I have thoroughly had a blast with it. It can really be flown with a single pilot and still do its job. Very good job.
