I saw an interview of a hind pilot. He trained in those. He said it was a nice chopper to fly. I cannot remember if that was the chopper he flew two variants or the one before mi 2 Anyway, I believe red side need a smaller chopper

Well in my opinion opinions has been served with a teaspoon now since release.. It start to get very repetative, I have put all DCS FB groups in coma just not want to see peoples opinion. ED gets, a few loves it, a few hates it, and all those inbetween. Where I am at. Huge potential, some great areas some not so much. and some ugly. We all get it. I look upon this as a representation of DCS in general, we do what we like and ignore what we dont like. Latter we are very bad at.

Well I have not that kind of rig. I noticed my mi 24 and Mi 8 got darker in the settings I use due to shadow. I do not blame the update , just my old rig

I never use pilot body. I dont need that for immersion. I know I am not in the pit. If I where, I could move my arm away to see what it obstructs

I startes to look om Kola map a bit more. I think that is What I am looking for egen Caucasus feel too grey.

This is my issue as well I flew a F 4 full throttle at low alt to see if that improved the styrofoam effect. But it did not. But land on one of the ridges and the textures is nice. It’s like thin hair if you look sideways it’s fine but from above not so much

I am not quite happy with sub arctic winter textures. I live in it , but I can live with it. My fatigue is the constant bitching on everything new coming lately. There is a lot of talk before thinking going on.

Comparing Kola and this map I can see the Color of the textures is the main problem for Afghanistan mountains. Kola got the same kind of texture but somehow green works at its favour. I think this will be fixed.

We do agree on that part. I have no patience for drama queens and we have not paid a fortune to access it. And no matter what paid for it. It is worth it. But ED got to change the plan regarding some of the quality, if this is the future product. We owe them to tell them it is wrong. By doing that they know we don’t mean everything. But a lot of it

Well in this case my trust on ED was much greater and it should have been. And I do not regret buying it. I payed 12, something for it when miles were used. I will have fun with it. but I do not like the way this is going. This globe map thing is a really bad idea if everything is going to be MSFS standards. I express my concern about the future not this particular map. I run out of sims to fly if this going south. I am a chopper sim addict.

And I have cancer. So now you know that. What is wrong with some critiques? I really think ED should reconsider this kind of map production. That real life sometime sucks make it even more important. I am fully covered with maps like Syria Caucasus PG and Kola So I see no reason for me to be sad , but I will probably never again trust ED enough to pre buy a map anymore. This is really hurting my trust to their standards in that regard. That said now when I own it. I can see a lot of fun in some areas.

It has promising attributes too. But man I was looking forward to some flying in the mountains. And that experience up to now suck

What it boils down to is. I payed 12 $ for this + some miles. And it is well worth that money. I find some areas very interesting and will have a lot of chopper fun

I hope he is, Bignewy said it was early access and we had to report areas with problems. So they can be fixed. I guess he means we need to locate it for them. My feelings are very mixed. I am very disappointed flying among styrofoam ridges. I am impressed by the texture landing on them.

Good to hear. But I did not like the mountains up close like chopper flying ridges and stuff. once landing the styrofoam effect ended and it looked real again. much of settlements and small villages is like put on like stickers. I am talking non urban wilderness now. And this is not a review. It is just my impression of it after two hours. I hope it improves.

That is kind of weird when Wags himself say it is an air to ground diorama. I am not impressed by this map, not at all. But there are some nice areas I gonna enjoy. Due to space shortage on my pc and the total impression of this map, if not improved while seeing more of it. I will not upgrade my pc for more of this stuff. I met a hardware bottle neck not only the cost of the software. Because I can afford some stupid purchases.

And some to be patronising

Well I have not flown all the mountains. But funny enough landing the chopper textures looks great. Take off and lift 10 meters and ground and mountains looks like styrofoam. . further away it looks gorgeous again. But so far Kola and Caucasus get better mountains. I will investigate more. But I think this will be a good chopper map

I have not been everywhere. Now I read someone said this is a finished product. I can’t accept that as truth. There are areas where critique is due. But people do not mention the pretty areas. And there are many. Main base area is a little dull and pale in texture I have tuned down my settings and fly with G2. So I believe it can be better for those with better rig

You know better than listen to this hysteria every single time something is released. But I respect a choice which was originally mine too. If I was to listen to those constantly looking for negativity I missed out the Kiowa which was deemed a fiasco first 24 hours and then was a streak of genius. It took me two minutes of searching to fly over gorgeous terrain. I was set on not buying this map until I got a reason for it. That reason came up earlier than expected. Yes there is unfinished places that we all knew about. but I rate this higher than Sinai , and think it is going to be good. I don’t have that problem so far.

I did a slow repair and it went back to just a map again. When I change from take off from parking hot to takeoff from ground hot. It works. You just have to move the chopper a bit east. now I get the sam warnings too. But not yet checked if I can refuel. Can anyone check if their womb mission work as intended in original build

This happened shortly after repair. But I have no idea when it happened. Yes sling load mission in Syria. I am busy with Kiowa and real life so can’t remember last time I flew it. So I have no clue when and what. I can try another repair and see what it does tonight.

It suddenly only show the map when I start it. Editing the mission I discovered it had to do with hot start in ramp. That is no longer an option. When I changed it to hot start on ground everything worked fine. But now I cannot refuel and rearm And copilot is no longer warning me about incoming missile does anyone have a working qmb mission that can share the mission with me. I really like that mission excellent relaxing and balanced mission where you can train yourself in self defence and slingloading.
