  1. As in the title already stated, after the recent open beta update, the ASP always behaves in the unrealistic manner. The pipper always sticks onto the target in case of an IR lock. In the options there is a flag where this could be changed as desired but since the update, this does not work any more. It always works the unrealistic way, regardless of whether the flag is set or not.
  2. As it was already mentioned, this advice was given in a very short time prior to the patch. Maybe it is a good idea to additionally mention it in the changelogs/weekend news, so more people will notice. I know that M3LLC is not responsible for the changelog/weekend news posts but maybe one could talk to ED to add it, if it was not already read here. thanks
  3. I hope you can forgive me when i didn't read the whole pages so in case I already missed it, I'm sorry, but: The thing we are of course only interested in, is: What would you prefer for DCS :D Has somebody already suggestions for a new processor, if someone liked to upgrade within the next month (i5-7600(K) vs. R5 1600(x)). How is the Ryzen expected to perform with DCS?
  4. I had the same issue of a non-functional pitch trim. As i tried to investigate, why sometimes it works and sometimes not, I figured out that if once an emergency trim switch was clicked (doesn't matter which one and doesn't matter if you set it back into its initial position), the normal trim system does not work any more. As one is ordered to check whether the switch (Nr. 3 on page 24 in the manual) is centered during the startup instructions, one can get easily tempted to click on the emergency trim switch. As said, this causes the normal system to stop working. However, i had a look into the manual and there is stated as well, that it is intended to work in this way (page 75, Emergency trim section). Furthermore, according to the manual, you have to reset the circuit breaker on the right side of the cockpit in order to reenable the normal trim system. Therefore, it's not a bug but an obstacle as it can easily ruin the mission.
  5. Hi Thank you for your quick response! I didn't noticed the small compas, only the course indication on the hud and around the radar screen. On the small compas it indeet turns as you said, thank you. During this tryout, i noticed another strange behavior. I tried to turn the deviation to the leftmost position by using a keyboard button to look how big the adjustment range is. However, when the needle reaches 180° south, the needle strangely flips around and is then stuck again in the 180° position but cannot be moved any more, neither by keyboard buttons nor by knob turning. Of course, one apparently doesn't want to turn that knob that far for any reason as it takes very long and would also make no sense to do so. Therefore, I guess, this is a very low priority thing. However, i did not tested, if the compas is working in case of an aircraft turn after that "needle-stuck" bug. Edit: thank you derelor
  6. Hi During the startup training mission, i was told to adjust the magnetic course deviaton for the theatre which i'm currently in, by using a knob under a protection cover on the right side of the cockpit. The knob is not turning, neither by mouse wheel (or klicking...) nor by keyboard inputs. Is it intended to be set automatically, depending on what theater youre loading or should it be manually adjustable? It is also not working, if you start inflight or creating a new cold rampstart mission via the ME. (And yes, i removed the protection cover first :D ) thanks for the great module, btw!
  7. The link does not work :(
  8. Hi I was wondering if we get the possibility to adjust the guns convergence in the future (maybe in the mission editor)? So far, the manual does not say anything about calibrating it within DCS but only drops a view words about the position of the guns in the wings and that they are adjustable in principle (in the real aircraft). Also, i asked myself whether it will be possible to choose a different ammo mix as the manual widely explains different historic types of ammo and what each type was good for. As a consequence, this would make a rework of the damage model of all aircraft necessary since different parts of different aircraft react differently on the impact of each ammo type (hitting fuel tanks, armor plates, cloth-coated fuselage, etc. with A.P., Incendiary, etc. respectively). So i guess this would be a more complex task to tackle? If this was discussed earlier, then I'm sorry, i haven't found anything. kind regards:pilotfly:
  9. In this documentary, some steps of a startup are shown, however, it is not clear of which version of spitfire. (start at ~ 22:00 mm:ss) https://youtu.be/onnF2QSrEUc?t=22m Anyway, one can see that after the pilot removes the covers of both the starter and the booster coil, he only presses the boost coil switch and not both as stated in Wags' video and in the pilot's notes. Of course the shown scenes do not claim to be complete and also fulfill some kind of entertainment purposes but nevertheless an interesting detail i noticed the other day. ;)
  10. Around the pitch axis, the spit seems veeeery sensitive. Without calibrating the axis curve it is nearly uncontrollable for me with my hotas t.flight and so i nearly crashed during takeoff. I instantly got an angle of attack of about 60° or so :D And then the instructor has the nerves to say "keep the stick pulled and release it gently" :pilotfly:
  11. Why do i deserve this? I'm not shure if anybody DESERVES anything from a randomly generated giveaway :music_whistling: But evertheless i apply for it since it would be a great upgrade to my nearly broken setup. My actual one consists of a TM t.flight hotas which makes sensitive rudder inputs nearly impossible and beside that, the rudder axis randomly gives full left or right pedal for no reason which makes a stable level flight really hard sometimes (and i'm not even speaking of AA refueling:lol:)
  12. I also noticed some strange behavior of the radar regarding the adjustable antenna angle. It seems to me that the angle you govern, is always with respect to the horizon line and not to your aircraft's nose. In other words, your plane's attitude does not play a role, only if your target is below or above you (altitude-wise). I don't think that the antenna is horizon-stabilized actually. Has someone else noticed this? You can easily check this during a climb or dive towards another plane while keeping a constant approach angle to it and making shure you see it at the beginning of your climb/dive. If you dont move the antenna's angle, after a while it is disappearing but it shouldnt since you kept the approach angle always constant.
  13. Ok Thanks for your reply, seems that i missed this little hint.
  14. I know that but this was not my point. I meant that my bonus points, associated with my account were resetted to zero for no obvious reason. Before i got 6$ bonus. At a certain date, this amount was subtracted from my account without purchasing anything. Edit: I red the bonus rules to look for a rule, that explains this behavior. It is stated that, if nothing is bought from the ED store within one year, the bonus points vanish, but this was not the case.
  15. Hi When i looked in my bonus history, there is stated that my bonus was debited but i didn't buy anything with it. According to the bonus rules, the bonus should only expire when nothing is bought from the shop within of one year. Two weeks ago, i bought something, using no bonus points and about some months (but definitely in 2016) i bought something, using SOME but not all bonus points. Is there something, i didn't recognize in the bonus rules or is this just a technical error. I'm asking here first before opening a support ticket. thanks
  16. you can also slew down until the diamond symbol on the tad is over the waypoint symbol.
  17. did you properly aligned the egi system and activated all the four sas switches? Reminder: when on the cdu stands 4.0.0.8 and RDY blinks, you have to click on nav on the right side of the CDU (or MFCD if CDU page is displayed). Then activate EGI on the middle console behind the stick.
  18. Thanks for your help! I also remembered something with deleting such a folder and tried this but it seems that i deleted the headtracker folder instead and not the trackir folder. xD Deleting the right one works, thanks again for your help!
  19. Dear LN! I encounter some problems with TrackIr in combination with the Mig-21bis. It seems that TrackIr only works when the Mig 21 is the first module i fly with after starting DCS. When flying with another aircraft and switching to the Mig 21 causes the TrackIr to stop working with the Mig21. This doesn't mean that the TrackIr software crashes, it is still active. The pilot's view simply does not respond to my head's movements. Other modules are not affected. I also realized that, since 1.5.4, in combination with every module, in the upper right corner a notification, regarding the headtracker appears after the mission start, except for the Mig21 (and for the Gazelle by polychop as well, btw). And it also seems to me, that this issue appeared only since the 1.5.4 update (IIRC..not sure) Maybe you are already aware of this bug but according to cobra's words: better safe than sorry and i haven't found anything else neither in the forums nor in the bugtracker. safe landings
