Hi I'm not sure, whether this is an ED thing or separate for every single module, so I put this here. My request is about break axis. Currently, we have two axis for both left and right brakes and one axis to activate both brakes for those who don't have pedals. However I wish for a solution that makes it possible to activate either the left brake or the right brake just by using one and the same controller axis. Depending on the axis deflection, either the right or left brake is activated. This could be useful for people who have a spring centered axis (like a twist grip) or like an axis on the thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas throttle (which I have and it would perfectly fit for this). Please see the attached picture (taken from Amazon.de). To clarify further what I mean, I made a little graph to show, how such an axis could look like. The controller axis is centered by e.g. a spring in the middle and can be deflected positively or negatively, activating either the right or left brake. The advantage is a better control of the brake pressure when taxiing e.g. in the P-51. What do you think about this? Thanks

I would strongly recommend to take jojo's post seriously. Especially this line, cited from the article: Since in TWS, a target can't be illuminated all the time because the antenna still moves to search and track for other targets, it can't be used to guide the missile. You can launch several AIM120 missiles on different targets using TWS, but these missiles are not SARH but use their own radar for finding the target

Sounds like an axis binding problem. Maybe your axis or button has jitters.

Spot on, thanks for your effort!

No, I'm aware of the purposes of AUTO and CCIP. However, Repsol2k seems to be able to reproduce the bug. I know that in CCIP or DSL, the bomb should fall as soon as I press the pickle button without a dependence on other parameters. But at the moment I pressed the pickle I was NOT in CCIP or DSL mode. I was in AUTO mode (by mistake because I forgot to switch do CCIP. This is how I discovered the bug btw.) Of course no bomb fell because AUTO mode requiers some release parameters to be met in order to drop the bomb. After all that, i switched to CIP and then IMMEDIATELY when i flicked the switch for the release mode, the bomb fell(without any second pickle press). It seems like the system didn't clear the pickle press i made in AUTO mode and therefore there was still an "unused" pickle signal in the pipeline and since the CCIP mode requires no additional parameters, the bomb falls as soon as there is a pickle signal. And so it did when I switched to CIP mode as there was still a pickle signal "left" from the failed release attempt in AUTO mode. cheers

I don't need a second one just for CCIP. That's not my point, please read my post again :) (at step 3, the "release" was referred to the pickle, not the bomb, maybe that was confusing) The problem in this case is that the bomb falls RIGHT AT THE TIME I FLICK THE RELEASE MODE SWITCH from auto to CIP, presuming that i have preliminary pressed the pickle in AUTO mode. Edit: It's a pity that RAZBAM dind't animate the switches on the HOTAS so far, because then you would clearly see the point how and when I press the pickle and what happens exactly

Hi I encountered a bug/strange situation when I flew the conventional bombing quick mission in nevada. When you select a bomb (Mk82, haven't tried it with GBUs or Rockeyes) on the strs page in AUTO mode, then press the pickle, no bomb falls after the trigger release so far (as intended) but if you switch from AUTO to DSL or CIP, the bomb drops immediately without a second pickle press. It seems like the pickle signal is "stored" until a valid fire solution is found. Even across the release modes. I don't think that this is intended? Summarization of the steps: 1. Select bomb on the STRS page 2. make sure to have set AUTO as release mode 3. press the pickle and release it (the pickle)<- no bomb falls as we are still in auto mode 4. select DSL or CIP mode <- bomb drops as soon as the switch was flicked from auto to CIP I uploaded a track Thanks //edited to make the steps more clear AV8B_Bomb.trk

Comms handling is really a great part of immersion and I usually have easy comms disabled. Switching to the Harrier and forgetting it, lets you float behind the tanker, already running on fumes while realizing that there won't be any cleared contact :D

Hi Screenshots say everything. I set up a quick mission in ME with the Belougas. However the pylons of the fuselage-attached bombs are not shown. Thanks for investigating!

Hi I don't know TrackHat but if it is similar to TrackIR, DCS recognizes it as controller axis. You can assign the head movement to these axis in the axis settings in the control options in DCS.

Rockets also work for me just as expected.
-
Hm. I tried it and I have to agree. Especially because the HUD glass has no direct line of sight to the radar screen.
-
I think it is intended and is a reflection from the green light, the radar screen emits. Try lowering the radar brightness or press the switch for the HUD glass to raise/lower the HUD glass. Anyhow, I like this effect :)

A texturer won't do systems and vice versa. But maybe the systems programmer is on the Harrier

The thing is that in the picture, the cockpit frame is not shown. Therefore you see more than a real pilot would, hence the real FOV is different from the picture shown.

I don't mean the actual sun spot in the screen shots. I mean the white light spot that appears just above the green autopilot lights^^ The sun itself does indeed look realistic. I DID mean the "glitch" that Texac refers to.

Hi Kingsnake Great video!, However I think the scene in the video doesn't show the same phenomenon. I think what you see is just the reflection from the upper panel surface. Due to the reflection's brightnes, it appears as a spot underneath but i think it actually isnt. Edit: maybe we hear a note from the devs whether it's intended or not :)

Hi When i flew a mission in winter today, i noticed that the rain/snowfall effect disappears sometimes. Please see the attached screenshots, i have uploaded the weather settings for this mission as well. In one scene in's there, in the other one not. I have the feeling that it has something to do with the altitude. Or maybe the weather is "obstructed" by the mountains, hence flying in valleys will "prevent" the snow from falling?

Hi Please see the screenshots below. The sun shines through some parts of the cockpit. I have another question. One, that puzzles me since the module was released. I very much like the effect of the cockpit lights the Viggen has, especially the three green autopilot lights. In particular i mean the glare effect, that the lights seem to be cigar-shaped due to the dazzling effect of the pilot's eye. However I was wondering if this effect should follow the head's rotation when I rotate may head with TrackIR. I mean, the effect is created within my eyes and not by the light itself, right? Currently the glaring effect is fixed with respect to the cockpit frame.

It was discussed very recently. If you look one level higher inthe forum in the general RAZBAM section, it is even on the very top. Here's the link https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200034

I didn't adress you with my post but Chilli1. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding:doh:

That's true, even on my old machine, I can max the tree settings. In 1.5.8 it wasn't possible without having a slideshow:thumbup:

At first i thought it was just the active pause xD Explain...I am wainting! :D

Seems like you are part of the DCS community for quite some time. I guess you know then, how things work in DCS: Most modules, except the Su25T and FC3 modules are more or less full fidelity, meaning that almost every switch and most systems are modeled such that they represent their real life counterpart. The Harrier is one of them, meaning it's meant not to start it via a single keybind but follow real life check lists and procedures. However, the Harrier is in a very early stage and not all functions are implemented yet. I suggest that, if you have problems starting it up and don't want to read the manual, you watch some youtube videos where the procedure is explained. It is really not rocket science. Furthermore, the thread title, emoticon and your writing do not lead other people to take you too seriously ;) happy flying!
