Nice work! You should be keeping track of your progress in a thread here if you're not already doing so. -
Excellent work Gadroc! This comes to mind.......

My buddy works as a machinist at the Lawerence Livermore Labs and I've been meaning to ask him about making some panels. He has access to machines in his spare time (like a student shop). Would like him to machine me an arming and landing gear panel. Cichlidfan I grew up in Woodbridge was a great place to live as a kid, lived down the street from Rippon Elem. School! Great job deacon looks great!

Wow that is good know I get impatient all the time at the slew speed. The TAD never seems to be an issue but the TGP drives me nuts sometimes. Thanks will definitely adjust now!

Well my set-up is deceiving since I've acquired the controllers over the years slowly and some of the stuff I got for free or had lying around. I have some money invested into it but the most I've spent on the pit was the Warthog HOTAS and a little bit spent on wood for the pit most everything else was an X-Mas gift one year or another or was a sweet free deal. I'm very fortunate to have a cool brother who hooks me up with his old gaming PCs when he builds new ones too. I don't have a big budget to work with I just always seem to be in the right place at the right time! -

The eye rolling never goes away lol, I get plenty of that too but at least I'm not out at the golf course, strip club or bar. My only two real hobbies are flight simulation and Flatland BMX riding. The seat is looking great keep it up! -
LOL If I could figure it out on my own I wouldn't be asking!! Again my squad mate thought he remembered a thread somewhere here on the forums hopefully someone knows something about it and can point us all in the right direction. If not its not a big deal to do it manually (but I tend to forget things). If you have a Quad core system you can do it by bringing up task manager when DCS world is already launched> go to processes> find the DCS world process> then right click and set affinity to cores 3-4. By default its set to all 4 cores but still only uses two since windows and HELIOS use the first two cores by default I move DCS to cores 3-4. I think the process is called launcher.exe or something like that. What I'm trying to avoid is doing this manually everytime I start the game and set it up to run on those cores automatically. I can't tell you how to do it but hopefully someone can show me.

Finally made a quick video of the pit in action. Nothing fancy and the quality is pretty bad but hey it was a year in making!:pilotfly: EDIT: Having a tough time getting the video to show up so here is the link -

Clr4ils Great work on your set-up since my last post in this thread I discovered DayZ and the summer just passed me by. Fast forward to now, in the last week I have re-installed all my DCS software and flight sim gear to my new PC! I have my multi monitor set-up working and I've been flying a little the last few days. I'm an unemployed stay at home dad ATM so I still don't have a lot of dedicated time to fly but I plan to make a video of my pit/projection set up and post it to you tube soon (I've said this before beware of broken promises lol). All of this has happened before and will happen again (a little BSG for you). -
I tried searching for this but no luck. One of my squad mates mentioned there is way to set up DCS world to run on cores 3 & 4 by default rather than CTRL+ALT+DEL and doing it manually everytime you run the game. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? My squad mate said he thought there was a topic here that covered how to get it done but I didn't have any luck using the search function. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out! Thx, Chris AKA HHF

Bump (to myself) - as soon as I find some free time I'm gonna get going on this again. Hell I might even find some time to fly A10C if I'm lucky. Almost a year to when I started! Damned responsibilities of life! -
Nice work, thx for sharing!

Thats an impressive pit. I have a lot of respect for the time and effort commercial simmers put into their creations. There are some outstanding examples out there. I often get comments on my tiny pit along the lines of: "you should get you pilots license" or "you could have bought a plane"....... I show these projects to the people who say stuff like that. Just like flying a military A/C you can't just go down to the airport and rent a 737 or A10C for the day so this is our next best option.

Nice work again!

Awesome work Gremlin really like the arming/gear panel and how you managed to display the flap gauge. On my panel I'm just moving the fuel/flap gauge inward to fit the confines of one monitor. In any case keep it up the pit is looking great.
