  1. So there was a mention of a flight model demo video a while back. That would be cool.
  2. I'm just getting audio only with a black screen...
  3. I just flew this in Cyprus and the grass downwash effect was working..? Am I taking crazy pills? I could swear it wasn't working before.
  4. Do we have any info on the flight model? Based on NIbbylot's template? Huey? From scratch?
  5. Really looking forward to this. Would love any info on the flight model. If it can do justice to the kind of flying we see from the German forest video, that would be pretty next level for any helicopter sim I've ever seen...
  6. Is the "copter pack" needed for your server in the latest update package for oh-6a?
  7. HI Tobi, I am not an aeronautical engineer or licensed heli pilot, but I think I might be able to describe my complaint for the flight model. It seems like there is too much dampening in the controls, in the cyclic at least. Almost like there are springs in the push/pull rods going to the rotor head, and it seems to me the springs are too loose. I don't know if that is what you are referring to when you say the AH6-j mod is "linear" - i.e. the stick input is more direct. So, in my mind, if that dampening was some kind of variable, I would be interested in trying the flight model with "tighter" springs. Making the cyclic a bit more responsive and less elastic. Just my thoughts. Thanks
  8. I downloaded and flew the 1.3 version this morning. It seems like an improvement to me. It might just be me, but the oscillations (I think it was mostly yaw) seem improved. I went back and forth between oh6 and ah6 mods to try to figure out what exactly felt different. Honestly, they seem pretty close now. One thing I noticed, when doing ~500fpm descending turns in the ah6, cyclic is "counter steering" (slight right cyclic in left hand turn). With the oh6, it was slight left cyclic for left hand descending turn. Thanks for the update, will have to try out the float version.
  9. Can anybody explain what the first bullet point here means? I don't understand. I haven't tried 1.3 mod yet...are the FM changes significant?
  10. It was, and the changes affected both roll behavior and ground effect: DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior by Polychop Simulations Fixed: Sideways flight bug (subject to further testing) Fixed: “Bump” of lift when coming to a hover It definitely wasn't my imagination. I have yet to load anything on the pylons of this aircraft, so it wasn't that. Will check this out...
  11. Anyone else notice a weird unrecoverable roll since the update? It has happened a few times to me. Both were in ground effect, or close to it. It seemed like rolling past a certain threshold, it just loses control and keeps rolling.
  12. Looking good! Looks like you made the external textures less glossy? Is there any way we could toggle on/off that sight in the cockpit? Personally, I wouldnt mind losing some irl accuracy. That looks like a real bummer for forward visibility.
  13. To me, there is something fundamentally different about the way it responds to cyclic input vs. the ah-6 mod (the flight model of which is actually based on the Loach). It seems like there is a "looseness" to cyclic response and I am constantly getting into induced oscillations. Mover's initial assessment was that something was off with the "physics", but idk if he ever got more specific than that. That was with the previous fm. Mover has flown the oh-6 irl. Personally, now that the dust has settled, I honestly wish it flew more like the ah-6 mod. I really appreciate all the work you've put in to it, so I'm just trying to be constructive here.
  14. Thanks for the update guys, I think it was a nice improvement on the fm. Could not get the grease pen to work, but no other problems.
