Wow, I heard that the M2k had flight model issues, but that's just impressive.

I suppose that it could be Windows 10, but I would assume that the official testers would be using that, so they should be able to recreate the problem. But, according to the release notes, they could not recreate the issues. The fact that some are having problems and others aren't, seems to indicate to me that either (A) a failure to follow directions exists or (B) an unaccounted for difference in hardware exists. I was hoping that it was something simple like that; if it's not, then this is likely to result in a long wait for a solution.

Does anyone know if anyone with an Intel/Invidia system is having this problem? UPDATE: This question has already been answered in the affirmative. I asked because I'm running AMD/AMD, so it looks like hardware isn't the issue.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind and hopefully go through and retry sometime today. UPDATE: Nevermind it's in the changelog. I'm getting more and more curious if this might be hardware related.

This seems to be a massive issue for those affected while others don't even know the problem exists. My issues include the F-15 refusing to take controller input, and the F-5E freezing on the debrief. I do, however, remember successfully loading into the L-39 and T.1A, but I can't confirm functionality. Is the L-39 issue only a problem on hot starts? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

I have the 29UM67 and am very happy with it. It is a great general use monitor. LG is hard to beat for color reproduction, and the aspect ratio is incredibly utilitarian. I will, however, echo the sentiment that, if you can hack it, more pixels might give you a competitive advantage. Also, when using TrackIR, looking side to side becomes pretty easy, but the vertical plane becomes a little bit problematic. The caveat to that statement is that it could have something to do with my setup or that I'm using TrackIR 4 instead of 5. But after about a year of trying to make it work, it still glitches when I nearly reach the top and bottom of the viewing arch and can be a bit uncomfortable to look that far up and down.

Final update DCS ran for about twelve hours and forty-eight minutes without improvement. updated log files are included. Logs.zip

trippylummox seems to have described my problem accurately if not completely. I can get to the debrief screen, but the "Fly" button won't highlight. After clicking the "Fly" button, it highlights and the cursor disappears, then nothing. I haven't tried to wait it out--I might try that now. But here's the log file. P.S. I don't know if you'll find anything useful in the log file. I tried and failed to fly the F-5E today but my computer says they were last modified yesterday. Good luck and thank you. Update: I have been trying to wait out the program for the last hour with no change. DCS appears to have stagnated at 15% CPU usage and 2.5 GB RAM. I have an AMD FX 9590 and 32 GB of RAM installed. Update 2: DCS RAM usage has dropped to about 0.5 GB within 20 min. of me writing the last update. Update 3: I just realized what date it is today. The logs were updated today. I thought it was the eighth when I wrote that the logs were last modified yesterday. :music_whistling: Update 4: Still no improvement. I'm going to let it run overnight and check in again after I get home from work in the morning. Logs.zip

Well, my point was that during landings in particular you are going to be focused on that HUD, and if the refresh rate is too slow, it could be fatal. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

There are training missions, but I don't find them that useful because they are in Russian with English subtitles. That's all fine and good, but since I don't speak Russian I find the lessons hard to follow along with. The alternative that I've come up with is to have the quick start guide open on another screen(or device) and you can follow along at your own pace. As always, reading the full manual is strongly advised. On the other hand, I find it helpful to have a little experience open up the manual. HTH Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
